Enkelt motell med trevlig personal. Ligger mitt emellan San Diego Zoo och gaslampdestriktet. Finns en trevlig frukostservering tvärs över gatan.

Frukost består av kaffe, juice och winerbröd. Inte bröd och någonstans att sitta. Tvättstuga finns ej på hotellet, får låna grannhotellets.

Good place, and nice rooms in convenient location, however it would be good to more clearly call out what the parking fee is. It was excessive in my opinion. Cheaper to park at the airport.

We went for a weekend away to San Diego and were looking for a well located place that wasn't expensive. The room was clean and had two queen beds, tv, microwave, closet, locker, bathroom, iron and hair dryer. I asked for a 8am wake up call and I got a 6am wake up. There was water damage in the celling, I could see the pant bubbling. There was suppose to be a fridge there wasn't one. The free hotel shuttle was useful and they paid for my cab from the airport because I arrived so late at night which was great. I was thinking it was a little far from the convention center but it was actually closer than those hotels near the USS Midway which has a view but are much more expensive. No frills. There is a convenience store across the […] street is open during the day and a dominos on the corner. It is on top of a hill which is killer late at night walking up from 5th. 5th is where all the restaurants are etc and super safe walk, with lots of people around. I got room 112 which is right outside the laundry room and on the 1st floor so there is no opening your windows. It was the last one because my room's door was broken but the fridge and cheap rate made up for it. Plus I wasn't there much. There is no running back to the hotel during the conference. It is about a 20 min walk or 13 min cab ride.(traffic stinks and all the one ways mean they have to go way out of their way to get to the convention center) Läs mer

It lacked restaurant. Availability of breakfast on sight is a must for me. Parking was very expensive. Hotel staff was very helpful, tried to help as much as possible.

No complaints.. satisfied with the experience and would stay again. I would have given 5 for service but our power went out in our room and it took a while to determine we needed to change rooms. So when we did it delayed our night plans for about an hour. However we were upgraded with our accommodations.

Room is nice beds were somewhat comfy considering I'm pregnant service was not over the top but they were nice, only thing is it seems they gave me an unmaintenenced room the shower made a loud sound and was also clogged so we had to make our showers quick before it filled up.

This hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. The rooms and bathrooms are small. The shower is not a full shower, but a one person stand up one. If you are over 5'6", the showerhead will be below your head. Their king sized bed is more than likely a queen or a full. It is not very close to the fun things to do downtown. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room needs better lighting for reading. The room was very clean . The neighborhood has a number of homeless people but it is close to everything downtown.

To say that I was disappointed with my stay here is a huge understatement. The plumbing made the most gosh awful and loud noise, anytime anyone nearby showered. There was not a bathtub or shower stall, just a curtain that allowed water to leak onto and all over the bathroom floor. I had to use one of only two large towels in the room to attempt to dry […] the floor so I could stand at sink without standing on a wet floor. When you moved around on the bed, the sound from the cheap box springs was hideous. I was hoping to have a romantic getaway with my girlfriend that was anything but that. The loo on my girlfriends face upon entering the room made me want to walk out and book a room somewhere else... I was embarrassed. The room looked little like the picture, and had I known what I was getting into, there is NO WAY I would have booked a room there. I initially hesitated to pick this hotel because of some negative comments I read but in the end I am glad that I did. We had no problem with the hotel. The personnel at the reception was extremely helpfull. You are very close (walking distance) to downtown and especially the Gaslamp Quarter where all the nightlife takes place. You don't need to rent […] a car unless you absolutely need it. But a daily or four day pass for the trolley and buses will take care of your needs. You can take them all the way to the Mexican border and all other places..Just check the routes..Overall, for this price, it was more than satisfying..Thanks to the hotel reception personnel.. This was hands down the worst hotel I have stayed in. The curtins were too short, so people could see into your room as they walked by and you could see into other people's rooms from the walkway. The room I booked was a King Superior, which was supposed to come with a refridge & microwave. There was no microwave and the refridge barely worked; my food […] spoiled because it was not cold enough. There was something wrong the the tub, the bathroom door did not even shut, and there was hardly any light in the room after dark. I stayed for several nights and when the room service came, they did a good job of cleaning. However, they did not come every day for some reason, so I ended up taking my own trash out so it didn't overflow. Lastly, the neighborhood was terrible. It is near 2 Bail Bonds shops, lots of run down parking lots, and homeless people roaming the streets. I wish I would have stayed a few blocks over (the Gaslamp Quater seemed more populated and safer in the evening). Läs mer

do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else! Bed squeaks, floor squeaks, toilet wont shut off when flushed, shower diverter wouldnt work, no TV remote upon arrival, wi-fi signal weak, 3' tub with slippery unstable base. This place really sucks.

Jason was very helpful which ameliorated the negative first impression. Entry was hard to find, lobby sparse to slightly shabby, computer not working; but Jason handled all with grace & attentiveness. Probably wouldn't recommend it or return, but I wouldn't discredit it either.

The location was everything with this hotel. Just south of Balboa for a visit to the zoo, a mile from Petco Park, and close to Broadway and Market street, the purpose of this hotel was strictly for it's location. The room was clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Its within walking distance of the convention center which is why I booked it. It took about 15 min to walk there. So I arrived to find that there is no microwave or mini fridge, despite the description on hotels.com saying that ALL rooms have these. I was informed at the front desk that it was in the king suites. Oh no, I brought perishables! They said they would try to upgrade me to a suite first thing tomorrow, fine. Location was great. That's the only reason I would stay here again. Otherwise, room is a bit old but not necessarily dirty. Shower has super weak water pressure. Towels were abrasive. Toilet is like a public restroom. Parking does cost, but still cheaper than everywhere else. The hill people are complaining about isn't even bad.

Everything was fantastic and you couldn't beat the price! Great job hotels.com and Red Roof Inn. I have to say... I travel a considerable amount for work and the staff at Red Roof are always friendly and attentive.

We only stayed one night but it was desent and walking distance to all the bars, restuarants and the pier. But I did't really care for the maids knocking on the door the next day at like 830am and every 15min to see if we had checked out so they can clean the room. Even after we asked for a late check out. Horrible!! \
