Positivt Bra läge, väldigt nära till restauranger, bra parkeringsmöjligheter i närliggande parkeringshus. Gratis att låna cyklar från hotellet. Negativt Dålig städning, bäddade egentligen bara sängarna och bytte handdukar, ingen golvstädning under den veckan vi var där. Vi fick tjata på dem för att dem skulle dammsuga en gång (blir rätt mycket sand […] efter några dagar på stranden). Mycket lyhört, blir inte bättre av att restaurangen har livemusik utanför fönstret mellan 11 på morgonen till 12 på kvällen. Läs mer

Bra mellanklass hotell. Vi fick ett stort rum m delvis havsutsikt och stor balkong. Enda negativa var att sängen var lite för mjuk. Frukosten ingick men av lite enklare slag. Nära stranden.

Perfekt läge nära stranden med trevlig personal. Tyvärr väldigt lyhört och då resturangen spelar musik och även har live musik med flamenco dansare det måste man tänka på. Dock slutar de spela runt midnatt. Om man inte förväntar sig en frukost med ägg och bacon (kostar extra) bla utan man är nöjd med vit bröd, marmelad, flingor och yoghurt så kan jag […] rek. detta mysiga hotell som dock är slitet men charmigt. Rent och fräscht hotell med toppenläge i Miami beach! Rekommenderas! Dock var inte frukosten nå´t att jubla över.....

Hotellet ligger mycket bra men standarden är väl sådär. Ett bra hotel om man kommer över det till ett bra pris men att betala fullt är det inte riktigt värt. Även om läget är mycket bra.

Helt ok hotell. Mycket tunna väggar vilket gör att man hör allt som händer runt omkring en. Vi hade turen att ha "city view" vilket innebär att man slipper ljudet från den Ocean Drive. Hyr ni bil finns det ett parkeringsgarage ca 1 min promenad från hotellet. Kostar 1 dollar i timmen, max 20 usd per dygn. Hotellets valet parking kostar 25 usd per dygn. […] Trevlig personal. Nice Italian restaurant with great staff in nice surroundings - park and beach walk in art deco district Breakfast area indoor could be improved OK when possible to be seated outside Big room with kitchen area! Good value for money. We'll be back!

it was the direst hotel i have ever stayed at .There were bugs in the lights bars of soap in the shower, the shower didnt work(either hot or cold) ,black mold around the tub, a really bad musty smell.and if all the other local hotels werent booked would of relocted to another.

The only problem with this hotel is the possibillity to park your car.

At first glance, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are very spacious and the interior is nice and complete. There are a few things you should know own before you decide to book this hotel. The most notable thing is that the hotel is situated above an Italian restaurant that has live music scene evenings per week. The performance is from 7 until 11, […] if you want to get some sleep before 11 you can forget about it. That won't be possible, the volume of the live performance is just too loud. The room is was supposed to have a bath, ours was equipped with only a (moldy) shower. A quick study of the floor plan showed us only one room per floor has a bath. The continental breakfast was kinda disappointing. No fresh ingredients, only bagles with cheese spread or jelly. The breakfast area (situated in the Italian restaurant) smelled of sewage. Eating breakfast there was virtually impossible. This was my worst hotels.com experience by far! The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. There was a HORRIBLE smell, roaches, and after numerous complaints they gave me a can of air freshener and would not move our room. Thank GOD I only booked it for one night.

This is a very nice hotel on Ocean Drive, right across from the beach and in the middle of it all. At the same time it is small, with a very friendly staff and a little withdrawn from the drive, so you are not bothered by the noise when you want to relax. (We had a room at the back). The balcony could use a hose down and furniture, the shower tiles had mold and the sprayer was at an odd angle and sprayed at one setting...very hard! The pictures displayed were a bit misleading but overall the room was livable for the four day stay that I booked it for.

The room was suppose to have an ocean view. The room actually had a view on the wall of the next building. We had asked for a quiet room and was told it was. However, the room was right next to the elevator and was very noisy. There was no light bulb in the bedside. I spent Spring Break at Hotel Ocean and was very pleased. I was a bit wary before arrival since their website wasn't very interactive but I was not disappointed. The location was fantastic right by the ocean. The complementary bikes were a total plus! So much fun riding down the beach. The Italian Restaurant in front of the hotel had good food, priced […] like anything else along Ocean Drive, and we enjoyed the DJ playing latin/hip hop music every afternoon and the flamenco band/dancer in the evening. Love this place. Every room is different, a lttle shabby but immaculately clean and welcoming. Nice little Italian restaurant in the courtyard with a great wine selection and knowledgeable staff. Right near the beach too. If you are not too stuffy you will love it too.

We found this hotel to be a lovely renovated place. Loved the quirky setup as only a historic building renovation will produce. The restaurant out front (outside, on the sidewalk) has a wonderful flamenco-type guitar duo with a female dancer. When checking in initially I thought I wasn't in the mood for this music, but we ate here anyway and it ws wonderful […] - both food and music. We really enjoyed it. The only complaint is that the shower did not have a ledge for soap, which was a small inconvenience. if you want to sleep before 11pm don't stay in the hotel, the music very loud, they stop at 11;00. we stayed 2 nights, the cleaning crew forgot to clean our room, we came from a tour we were out from 9 am cameback 5 pm, our room was not clean.

Great location and excellent helpful staff; I arrived very early and they were kind enough to take care of all my bags (and friends bags) for the day. The services was excellent. The comfort of the room was good, and the cleanliness was good also. The neighborhood and location are excellent. Hotel Ocean, despite its very amazing location, needs some upgrades: 1.The beds are extremely uncomfortable. The amount money charging per of night of stay should justify the hotel to replace the beds. 2. Bathroom supplies don't get refilled. Great location in the heart of SOBE on Ocean Drive. Great room for the price. Lots of space. Clean comfy sheets. Big bathroom. Could use a better bed (too springy) and bathroom tiles needs a little bleach and scrubbing. But overall it's a great hotel for the price.

I stayed here at the end of January 2012 and the basic room was just okay. Its a well used and tired hotel, that could uses some renovations. NO doors are square, they are all out of shape. The bathroom door doesn't close. The water pressure in the shower is not much more than a drip. The furniture looks like it came from a used furniture store or off […] the street. I stayed in Key West after this hotel, and for the same price, stayed in a very nice hotel, newly renovated and clean. Since this hotel is in the heart of South Beach, I can only presume that they can get away with any condition, since the turnover is so great. Definitely consider other options to this hotel. Besides the terrific location, everything about this hotel was disappointing. Our room was sparsely furnished. It didn't offer free internet as advertised. The furnishings in the room weren't as nice as the photos. The most disappointing part of our stay was the loud music that played in the courtyard until 2 am.

Great location and a friendly, helpful staff. We were upgraded to a large room with an ocean view. We would definitely stay at Hotel Ocean again.

We were switched to the sister hotel, Breakwater. Great location,room & staff. If we go to South Beach again this is were we would stay.

We loved our room, we loved being near the beach...and even enjoyed being near all the action. But the restaurant that is downstairs starts playing music very loud very early to attract guests for that night...but if you are ready to be up and out of bed at 10 AM then this place will work well for you.

We stayed in Hotel Ocean on South Miami Beach on December 30th. If you want to be in the middle of action....THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE! The hotel is great, the area is full speed action,a s long as you can keep up. We paid a premium for a deluxe city-view hotel with a balcony and a Queen bed which was the description provided by hotels.com. What we got was a double bed that our feet hung off of, no balcony at all (the hotel has none) and our "deluxe city view" was of the second level of a parking garage. The staff were wonderful, the hotel quiet (even on New years […] Eve), the locaiton great and the breakfast very good. The hotel was clean and well-maintained - however the amentities were not as printed out on my booking confirmation. The issue lies more with hotels.com than with the Hotel Ocean. Läs mer

Was in SOBE for business and needed an inexpensive hotel close to work. This hotel has a small and unattractive lobby. My room however, was HUGE, poorly decorated and very clean. Clean is key in SOBE. The real down side was the loud music in front of the hotel. Service was OK. Overall, I'd say my experience was spotty. I would like to mention that everything was excellent and I was very happy but staff at the frontdesk don't have any professional manners or education . Very poor !!! Hotel restaurant downstairs has the best service in town. Very impressive !!!!!

Excited to be on Miami Beech in a hotel with an ocean view. Well, the view was a small window by the door that viewed a sliver of Ocean drive, no water of the ocean could be seen. Upon arriving, things were a bit concerning when the front desk had numerous chips of black paint missing. Room key was attached to a non-working electronic room key card. […] Went to the room and there were two handles and unclear which one worked. Thr door was unlocked when entering and seemed bright with fresh white paint on the walls and a new looking hardwood floor. Well, the paint was also on the light switch, the electric sockets, the window frame and the bath mirror. Room was clean and bed was OK. VERY thin comforter, but ok for Miami. Real excitement began when returning from a long day at the convention center and the restaurant had a full outdoor seating area with a live band. Went to my room and the music was remarkably loud - louder than I would have my TV under normal situations. It wasn't until 1130 that the crooning guitarist put away his instrument. This repeated on Sunday and Monday nights..... To add to the frustration, the shower had mold on the caulk around the tub. Otherwise clean. However, the handle to the shower was missing and you had to turn the smooth surface dial that had originally held a handle. The knob could turn endlessly in either direction with one area that would be off (with no marking). So, morning showers were a game of figuuring out how to make the shower hot and then how to turn it off.... Overall, a clean hotel that was on Ocean drive, but renovations by someone with minimal interest in quality or detail. Don't plan to stay here if you want a quite room before 1130PM.... Love the location and hotel for the price! Right across from the beach. Breakfast needs improvement though. Shopping and more reasonable price restaurants are on the street right behind the hotel. Try Puerto Sagua's daily special while you are there. Loved the oxtail stew!

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ocean. Very friendly staff, great pricing for the awesome location. Nightly live music, great guitar, dancing and food. Will be back to this HOT spot.

The hotel they put u in when you arrive is situated just over two open night bars with VERY loud music until 4:30 in the morning. And at 7am begins the noise of the cleaning machines in the street Anyone should avoid that hotel as xell as the Breakwater which is affiliated.

I booked two rooms at this hotel for a weekend trip to Miami in August. The room's I booked were to come with a balcony. However, upon arrival, it became obvious that the rooms did not have balconies. Rooms were not kept well. Would not recomend.

I have stayed at Hotel Ocean several times over the years and I have always been pleased with their service and accommodations. The hotel is located in the heart of Ocean Drive and has it own restaurant: Mia Bella Roma. Its a wonderful Italian cafe style restaurant with excellent food and live entertainment. What I can say about Hotel Ocean is that […] they work hard at making you feel like a VIP. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. Even the valet guy was courteous - suggesting sights and activities in Miami while I waited for my car to arrive. The rooms are very clean and confortable AND very spacious (not typical of most South Beach rooms). My room was the "Superior Oceanfront Balcony" which I highly recommend. It has a private balcony, a large master style bath and a separate bedroom. The room and the hotel could use an update (I think it's been a few years since the last renovation), but this also adds to the charm of the hotel. On the plus side, this hotel is well located directly across from the beach. Sadly, that's the only positive. The service at the desk bordered on rude. There was a foul smell in the elevator, hallways and room. The linens and furniture were stained and unclean. The restaurant in the courtyard had live music each night until 11 PM that was so loud you […] couldn't sleep, watch TV or just relax. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and nice. He upgraded our room from a deluxe city view, to an ocean view. We had two bathrooms, two flat screen tvs, and a kitchen. The room location was fantastic! We had a great view of the beach, ocean, and nightlife below. One downside was that there was loud music until about midnight and people […] were outside drinking and talking very loudly until 3 am. Since our room was on the front of the hotel we had many windows and could hear all the noise, which made it hard to sleep. Also, the beds could use an upgrade so we don't roll to the middle. All in all, this is a nice hotel. It's location on Ocean Drive is perfectly in the middle and was a very easy walk to things in any direction. We would definitely stay here again! Läs mer
