Ett hotell att trivas på. Här var rent och snyggt överallt och vi blev väldigt trevligt bemötta. Vi uppskattade den goda frukosten för de valmöjligheter som fanns.

Hotellet var rent och fräscht. Personal trevlig och gav bra service. Maten i Restaurangens mat var helt fantastisk, man kände att dom verkligen försökte göra nåt utöver det vanliga. Läget kan vara något off men det visste vi innan dock får man fin miljö i form av den stora marinan. Santa Monica och Venice ligger bara 10-15 min bilresa därifrån. Perfekt boende innan eller efter ett besök i LA/Hollywood exempelvis.

Hotellet ligger nära flygplatsen vilket är perfekt som första / sista natten boende. Området känns lite ruffigt men vi upplevde inte att det var obehagligt på något sätt. Dock höll vi oss på hotellrummet när det började skymma. Rummet var RIKTIGT fräscht och det fanns allt man kunde önska, Badrummet var prydligt ordnat med gott om handdukar och diverse toalettartiklar uppradade vid handfatet. Frukosten var helt okej även om man ska vara beredd på att det kan kännas torftigt för en frukostsugen svensk. Hotellet har även ett låst parkeringsgarage så hyrbilen får stå ifred. Jag skulle utan tvekan bo här igen!

"Great location, very clean, good service"
Room was smaller, but very comfortable with nice ocean views and very clean. Service could not have been nicer- particularly the valets, front desk staff (John who accomodated an early check-in) and the gentleman in Risk Mgt. who is sending something I left behind in the room. Highly recommend!

"Fairmont Miramarou"
We were supposed to only stay for 2 nights then go to Vegas, however we loved Santa Monica and the hotel that we extended or stay.

There are some really nice hotels further down Ocean Ave., south of Pico (i.e., Loews, Shutters), but I really thought this hotel was much better located for walking to restaurants, the Promenade, etc. It may be up the bluff and across the street from the beach, but it's still close. Our room must have been cleaned 3 times a day! The service was amazing, the front desk booked us baseball tickets, rental car, anything we needed!!! Great location, next to beach, close walk to main Santa Monica strip. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

"Fairmont Bungalows: Santa Monica"
Great place! Enjoyed the location, stay, staff and food... Although there only one night everything was in place.. The room had a well-stocked bar, fresh fruit, and close to the famous Santa Monica Pier, beach & other amenities. A little on the high end a little but we deserve it...

We were basically on a one night stay in LA on the way back from Fiji to the east. This was a terrific choice for a multitude of reasons including but not limited to: location (on the beach, close to the 3rd St Promenade, etc.), quality, service, decor, character and overall friendliness of the staff. "Good Location shame about the rooms"
I have stayed in 3 other Fairmont Group Hotels and been impressed, so my expectations were high, unfortunately the rooms and bar let this hotel down! The rooms have extremely small bathrooms even for European standard and mould growing around the bath; the decor & furniture is more fitting to an elderly relatives home than a modern hotel, and not very […] well sound insulated as we were disturbed by plumbing noises and other guests room service deliveries. The bar was souless basically an extension of the ground floor reception area, so not inviting to guests. The positive was great location, good gym, spa and ok pool area, although the sun-beds situated around the pool area were so close you couldn't get inbetween them, also children were allowed to dominate the pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is expensive, so if you are ok with a very standard room but good location stay here, if not there are plenty of other hotels close by. Läs mer
"The Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica-1st class servi"
The customer service here is 1st class! The location is great, a short walk to restaurants and great shopping. I was very fortunate to get a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite. The turn down service is one of the best ever. I'll definitely stay here again!

"not so sure it is worth the money"
We got a real deal on Hotel.com for this hotel and even then, the size of the room and the extra costs of parking and everything else just made it so that I am not so sure I would recommend this place. The location is great and the view beautiful and the friendliness of the staff was wonderful, but at a cost that feels excessive.
"No Ice"
The only complaint I have about the Fairmont is that you have to call room service for ice, a rather minor issue. The rooms are beautiful, the views in the Ocean Tower are incredible. The staff are very friendly.

"Beautiful Courtyard and overall great hotel"
It looks beautiful from the outside but once you step inside the lobby you start to see the real beauty. This is a hotel that reminds me "of the good old days" of traveling. (I'm only 26 but can still remember when luxury hotels meant something and that was 5 star service as well and the beautiful surroundings) When we checked in the front desk guy […] decided to upgrade us to a bungalow, just because we had our dog and he thought he would like a patio to go out to. (and it was quite large). Also did I mention no pet charge, no pet deposit, no Nada! I could tell this is someone who likes his job. After checking us in he also proceeded to makes sure that we have a dog bed coming, snacks, bottled water! (which I think is a little ridiculous), bowls and poop bags that are scented! He then proceeded to show us to our room. I can't remember the last time this happened! (of course you are supposed to tip him for this... but I always do that... as he takes my carry-on out of my hand so I can walk my dog to the room better.) The best part of the hotel was walking from the lobby to their courtyard. Santa Monica is a beautiful place already but you could be in a tropical paradise if you were to just lay around the pool. The bungalow was beautiful as I knew it would be. Nice, spacious, luxurious, big bathroom, ect... I could go on for quite awhile about it all, but it wrap it up for you. To sum it up if you want a beautiful hotel with some of the best service in the world, in an already beautiful city, then this is your place... We all know it just comes with a price tag. "Beautiful but Overpriced"
My boyfriend and I stayed here with hopes to have a romantic and peaceful evening and be close to the LAX airport for our flight the next morning. All was well until our neighbors decided to have a party at 2am. After calling the hotel staff, they promptly responded and knocked on our neighbor's door who sadly didn't really quiet down until about 4am. […] The walls were SO thin, I could hear everything they were saying even when they were in "quiet mode." The bath tub could have been larger and the bathroom doors, while precious, don't offer much privacy. We were staying in the Ocean Tower with a view of the Santa Monica Pier, which was lovely, but definitely not worth what we paid. "Great place to stay"
This hotel was a little over our price range even with discounts, but we decided to stay there as we were traveling for a conference that was there. The hotel was everything you can except from hotel this level: friendly stuff, great service, clean rooms. It is located close to the ocean. We had room with view on Santa Monica pier. But to get to the […] water you need to walk stairs down the cliff. Not a problem for me, I even enjoyed it. It is great place if you like to be near the ocean at sun rise and to see beautiful sunsets. You can run or walk in Palisades Park right across the street. It is walking distance to Santa Monica pier and 3rd street Promenade. Parking is $30 per night. I guess it is not a problem if you can afford this hotel. Läs mer
We had a wonderful experience at the Fairmont Miramar; it was our second visit. The location is the best in Santa Monica close to restuarants, the Third Street Mall and the ocean. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff was very attentative and the public spaces were quite nice. The food was OK but pricey. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

"Not the Ritz..."
Nice, but the level of service was lacking. Although bellboys were stationed at the front entrance, they never opened the door. There were errors on my restaurant bill three times. I finally left paying a higher price than it should have been, just to stop the revisions. Having just stayed at a boutique hotel in another city, it paled in comparison […] as far as service and furnishings. Having stayed at the Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii, I expected far more. Läs mer

This was one of the best on line picks in quite a while . Great Hotel great service...Can not complain worth every penny. My room was beyond my excectations and the hotel never let me down all the way to the umbrealla provied to me as i stepped out of my car to the goodnight bed which i honestly wished i could stay on all day....
"Miramar Fairmont"
Gorgeous hotel. Great (pricey) food. Loved the turtles, koi pond, trees. Didn't much like the louvered doors to the bathroom. Not great for potty privacy when sharing with a business colleague.
Hotel is great and management is wonderful.From now on I will book directly with the Hotel because I didn't have a room at check in because Hotels.com didn't book it for me

Everything at the Fairmont Miramar was lovely. As far as the lousy bathroom doors that others have commented on....run the bathtub water while you are doing your business in the bathroom.

After checking in and entering our room to discover that it was occupied, the bellman arranged another room from the hallway, next room was perfect. Service was excellent, surrounding area was perfect, bartender in Fig was excellent, she provided great local tips and we appreciated everything she told us. we are looking forward to the next trip and […] we will be taking our dog as the hotel is pet friendly and everyone had their dogs with them. Arrived in the afternoon and told our room would be ready in 30-40 minutes, checked after an hour and was told it would be "only 10 more minutes" for the next 2 hours, totaling 3 hours of waiting to get a room, it would have been fine if someone was straight with me and said "it could be awhile, why don't you go walk around", if somebody says 10 minutes, […] you might as well wait. Otherwise our stay was great, with an excellent view of the pier and beach. The obligatory crazy prices for hotel parking on the beach, but no need to drive anywhere in the area as it is all walkable. Läs mer
"WORTH THE SPLURGE! LOVED THE FAIRMONT!!!"
Came for our 10th wedding anniversary and was SO glad I paid a little more to have a beautiful & clean hotel, gorgeous views, kind staff, excellent gym, and wonderful pool area . We were waited on hand and foot. The location was great - across the street from the beach and a couple blocks from 3rd Street Prominade (shopping district). We rented a car, […] but next time would have taken the airport shuttle . . . much less expensive when you add up car rental rates plus $30 parking each day. Everything is within walking distance except the airport or if you want to go to LA or Malibu. Couldn't have been more happy with my decision to stay at the Fairmont. We stayed one night at Lowes as well which we equally loved. It's as beautiful as the photos show. We will definitely be back!! Läs mer
"Not always 5 Star Service"
This was the final hotel we were staying at on our driving tour round California, Arizona and Nevada. Of the 9 we stayed at this was the one that I felt disappointed with and my reviews of the other 8 have been glowing. Perhaps I was looking forward to this one too much. This was billed as a 5 star hotel and being the last one I chose to spend more […] money than the others (except the Bellagio in Vegas). Very well set up and the rooms were very nice and spotlessly clean. The bar area outside by the Koi pond was great and most of the staff were really very helpful and polite, particularly the valet car park staff ($33 per night inc tax but excluding tips). The two things that disappointed me were, 1/ The restaurant at the hotel was closed on the day we arrived - not open Monday evenings 2/ During our holiday we found out our flight home with BA had been cancelled. Managed to sort out a later flight and asked at reception if we could have a late check out room as we were now not flying until 9.20 in the evening. The young lady said she would look into and let us know. We heard nothing. The morning before our departure we enquired again at reception and were told that they were fully committed and the best they could offer was an extension until 1pm which was not much use as we were booked on an excursion which would not get us back to the hotel until 2pm. The different young lady advised we could use the pool area, however, to shower/change and they would store our luggage during the day. We felt suitably dismissed by the receptionist who then went back to her computer and left us standing at the desk When we returned that evening we found a general note to all customers pushed under the door advising that a private party had sole use of the pool area and it, and the drive way to the hotel, would be out of bounds.
