Hotell Sheraton Brussels Hotel - Bryssel

Snyggt, rent, dyrt och alldeles för stort och opersonligt. Hade en dotter med som fyllde 10 år, inget som helst extra leende eller gratulation. Fick bara till svar att hotellet inte har det som policy.Trist!

På sommaren när alla EU-parlamentariker har semester, sänks priserna på affärshotellen i Bryssel. Det mycket fördelaktiga sommarpriset på Sheraton bidrog till att vi bestämde oss för att stanna två nätter i Bryssel. Staden i sig faller i konkurrensen med andra europeiska huvudstäder, men vistelsen på Sheraton höjde upplevelsen av vistelsen i staden. Vi […] hade förmånen att få ett av club-rummen högt upp i hotellbyggnaden. Vi hade därför fantastisk utsikt över Bryssel i ett stort och rymligt rum. Det finns ingen trådlös internetuppkoppling i rummet, utan bara trådad, vilket sänker betyget något. Trådlöst internet finns endast i foajén. Priserna i hotellrestaurangen är höga men maten är god. Grillrestaurangen som ligger i samma byggnad serverar en fantastisk entrecote och chokladdessert. Bra parkeringsgarage i källaren på hotellet men det är en mardröm att hitta dit med bilen. Stadens centrum ligger ca 20 minuters promenad från hotellet, men det är gågata med mycket shopping stora delar av promenaden. Området kring hotellet upplevde vi som lite stökigt, slitet och tätbefolkat. Flera affärshotell såsom Hilton och Crown Plaza ligger dock i samma område. Läs mer

Avståndet till Grand Placa ca 1 km vilket är precis lagom promenadavstånd. Promenadvägen är kantad av stora och små butiker. En helg i Bryssel är perfekt man hinner se allt vesäntligt och njuta av den fantastiskt goda maten. Bodde här under påskhelgen 2011 och det var vårt första besök i Bryssel. Hade inte bott i det här området igen. Ligger i en klunga med andra lyxhotell i en ganska tråkig del av staden. Finns en fin botanisk trädgård en bit bort dock. Över gatan finns ett köpcentrum (som var stängt alla dagar utom påskafton) och en Drottninggatan-liknande smockfull odräglig […] shoppinggata som ledet till turistkvarteren kring Grand Place. Metrosystemet i Bryssel är lättnavigerat och man kunde lätt ta sig till andra delar av staden om man inte ville trängas i folkhaven. När vi checkade in i vårt rökfria rum hade någon bolmat ordentligt så det knappt gick att vistas i rummet. Pratade med en kvinna i receptionen och bad att få byta rum. Det gick inte. Gick upp på rummet igen och insåg hur outhärdligt det var. Gick ner i receptionen och pratade med en annan tjej, den här gången på franska istället för engelska, och jag vet inte om det berodde på det eller på att hon var snäll men hon ringde runt och sa att hon skulle fixa ett nytt rum. Vi hände runt på stan i någon timme och när vi återvände till hotellet fick vi ett nytt rökfritt rum som var jättetrevligt med stor king size säng och ingen obehaglig lukt. Trevligt att man fick fri tillgång till internet på fem datorer i lobbyn, även om man fick köa en stund ibland. Massa kanaler på TV:n, flera odubbade vilket var skönt. Dyr frukost och dyrt kaffe i deras restaurang. Gå hellre ut på stan och njut på mysigt fik! Skulle jag åka till Bryssel igen skulle jag inte bo på stor kedja som Sheraton. Opersonlig atmosfär över hela stället. (Men stort plus för deras underbara kuddar!) Områdena kring Avenue Louise skulle jag hellre bo på. Mindre turistigt, snarare lite för snoffsigt med designerbutiker etc, men en härlig atmosfär och precis lika nära Grand Place som Sheraton. Utmärkt läge, lite slitet med tanke på att det är 4 stjärnigt hotell. Trevlig personal i receptionen! Gott frukost

Ett ganska slitet hotel men helt ok för pengarna. kan varmt rekomenderas. rummen är mycket stora. Trådlös wifi i receptionsområdet.

Bra service Rent och snyggt Centralt, nära till shopping och en mindre antal restauranger.

Hotellet är inte precis nytt men allt är rent o snyggt. Servisen bra. Pool på 30 våningen helt ok. Frukosten dock dyr, man får middag med vin för samma pris på stan. Läget bra (Nord Brussels) gångavstånd till shopping och nöjen.

We made a last minute booking for a weekend away in Brussels and got a great deal at this hotel. We chose it because the weather forecast was awful and we wanted to know we could stay in and enjoy the facilities if necessary. We used the fab swimming pool and sauna with snow on the roofs all around! Our room was huge - more of a suite really with its […] own dressing room - Room 2301 - with views south west over the city to the sunset. It was easy to find as it's such a landmark (and beside the metro stop), and the staff were very friendly and polite. They made us feel very comfortable. There was free wifi in the entrance lounge which was high speed and fine for us. There was a kettle etc in our room, and slippers and dressing gowns so we were very happy! The room was HUGE, clean, and comfortable. It was in a great location and I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Brussels.

Location is great. The room was spacious, clean but dated. The concierge was always busy and didn't seem to care that much. He was supposed to bring our luggage up to our room but when his shift was over he left without saying anything. We had to ask the new concierge to bring our luggage up ourselves. The personnel at check-in and check-out also didn't […] seem very interested. A little less garlic breath would've been nice as well. We had a good deal so price-quality was alright. Everything great, wifi internet access only in the lobby but lan cable in the room. Thats rather a big hassel.

The hotel is very nice and located about 10-15 minutes (walk) away from the centre of the town. We had a lovely room on the 24th floor with panorama view od the Brussels. Lush breakfast but slightly cold.

Good value. Large, clean rooms with a 'Green' option to forego housekeeping. Breakfast not included for us, but there's an Exki nearish by on the pedestrianised Rue Neuve where you can get a continental breakfast for €2 (except maybe not on Sundays). Otherwise not a lot of breakfast choices nearby, except for a pricey Illy attached to the hotel. We […] appreciated the hotel's proximity to the Brussels-North station, where you catch trains to Antwerp etc. The Grand Place is walking distance, so you don't feel at all isolated, even if the Sheraton isn't strictly speaking 'central'. The very near metro station, Rogier, accesses 2 quite common/useful lines. Although I'd have preferred breakfast were included, I recommend the Sheraton and would stay there again if the rates are as agreeable as they were for us over the New Year. Läs mer

the hotel front desk was really terrible first they said after we already check- in already for 3 hours they said the rooms was not ours that they committed a mistake and it was for some other guest then they block the key cards for our 2 rooms. then when we went to complain why we can"t enter the room the manager instead of assisting us to get inside […] even embarassed us by trying to demand our passport which we cannot give coz they were inside our room safety deposit box. and lastly when we are checing out of the hotel we were completely shocked when they ask us to pay for the 2 rooms which we have already payed thru hoterl.com. 8 of us went to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. The hotel is a stone's throw from restaurants, shopping centres and the main tourist attractions (Mannekinn Pis and Grand Place etc). Very easy to get to the Atomium via the subway. Would stay there again. The real problem was the casings coming off of the wall socket and the plug which our TV was plugged […] in to. We made good use of the free safe and the free internet. 15€ ride in a taxi from the Eurostar station. Staff are not the friendliest I have encountered. Good location for walking or taking the tube to the centre. Some of the reception staff were rude and had no flexibility or customer service. I was travelling with children and they wanted to charge adult price for breakfast and basically said 'take it or leave it'

good location- 3 blocks away from the Brussels North station and about 1/2 mile walk to the Grand Place. The staff was courteous, and lobby was friendly with free wifi and desk top computers for use. Whie the room was quite large, the decor could certainly use some updating, as it is more 1990 decor. Otherwise, it was well worth the money.

This is a nice, big, business-class hotel, convenient to the Gare du Nord, where the airport shuttle gets into, and with all the amenities you would expect, including (rare for a European hotel), a passable gym. Downsides are that you are not in the most exciting part of the city, though Brussels is pretty small so most bits you will want to be in can […] be reached easily on foot, by public transit or by relatively cheap cab ride, and egregiously expensive Internet and breakfast. We had a great time at this hotel; 2 adts & 1 9yr old booked the Club Rm & thoroughly enjoyed the Club Lounge, fitness center w/pool, & comp brkfst included. Well worth the price & location. Hotel says it is 1km from Gare Central but it is certainly further than that; had we known we would have taken a taxi rather than walked. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were super clean. Everyone spoke english properly and location was great. Wonderful place to stay!!!

The hotel is centrally located, which makes it easy to get to shops, trams or train stations.

A very nice hotel. Comfortable and quiet. Our bathroom was a bit tired, but I am sure the more expensive rooms are fine.

American "style" large rooms and beds. I found the hallways a bit run down. Rugs in particular appeared stained and dirty, including the one in the room. Fitness center and pool are very nice but a bit of a trip to go there as I was on the 9th floor and it was up on the 30th.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Close to Grand Place and city tour bus. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Two negatives were the prices for the mini bar and there were never enough towels which were too small anyhow would have loved bath sheets. Check in and check out were very quick and easy although we were asked for a 250 euro deposit for any extras we may have had to be returned when we left but we knew nothing about this and did not have that kind of extra money so we were told we could pay for anything as we went along. there was free internet for guests. Great room + friendly staff. We got a great deal, but I gathered most of the patrons were high end consumers. One small niggle was the swimming pool, its not heated, and it was when we tried it very dirty. I mentioned it to the staff the next day and they were very surprised, and assured me it was not normally the case as the pool is cleaned regularly […] etc, so I'd be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially as the changing rooms and the gym in general was spotless. Location: Garde de Nord is about 5 minutes walk away. From there you can go north or south around the country and the city, but the metro almost infront of the hotel is sufficent. Dont go on the sightseeing buses unless you are really into the hop-on hop off again - they sell tickets from they but they are expesive, anywhere from 10-20 euros per person. The normal metro is fine. It is a bit of a walk though - so use the metro! :) There is also a pier nearby and if you go during the end of July , you will happen on an artificial beach - which is very nice to stumble on - though closes really early. The grill restaurant next to the hotel is very expensive in my opinion, there are better ones dotted around the city again, in my opinion;) Hope that helps someone ;) Läs mer

My family and I stayed at the Sheraton in Brussels for a weekend. The staff were all more than helpful and spoke English fluently (which is a plus if you've been throughout the rest of Europe). The best thing was the location. It has many good restaurants in direct vicinity of the front door. The tour bus company has a stop right out front and it's […] on the main street through the middle of town so (i believe) it's fairly safe. Plus, it's walking distance (about half a mile) to the Grand Palace and other attractions and a short bus ride to atomium and mini europe. Läs mer

This hotel was extremely well maintained and clean. The room was a standard and had a king size bed, sitting area, and flat screen tv. It was 3x the size of the "typical" hotel room. It is in the perfect location if you are there for business or if you want a quieter hotel while on vacation. It is about 0.7 miles from the town center where all the action, […] pubs, and touristy things are. The walk is easy though. Hotel stay was ok. Room was big but got warm both nights and we could not turn the temperature low enough. Pool wasnt too pleasant - decor/condition could be better as they have maintained the reception. Water was also cold. Location was good - right next to Rogier and 10 mins walk to grand place. Family of three stayed for two nights - enjoyed the city and coming back to a comfortable room to rest our weary feet and nap before heading out again. Center of Grand Place is about 15 minute walk - plenty of shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes. If you want to be within walking distance of most everything or right off the Rogier metro stop - this is the perfect hotel. Clean, comfortable, and close to the Gros Markt, this hotel has all the comforts of home in the heart of Europe. If you are tired and wish to eat near the hotel, the Brussels Grill next door is wonderful and has a great beer selection […] and daily lunch specials. convenient to train station- easy to get here from the ariport. location is fantastic as it is walking distance to all the main attractions fantastic value for money and really enjoyed my stay there. The only fault is that it is slightly noisy during the night. the staff at the hotel are very helpful.
