Hotell Royal Garden Hotel - London

Ett mycket trevligt ocg snyggt hotell med utmärkt läge. Så synd att de slarvade bort vårt wake up call sista morgonen när vi skulle flyga hem. Blev lite panik men det ordnade sig. Sen är man fortfarande förvånad över att man 2011 inte kan tillhandahålla WIFI gratis för sina kunder på ett 5-stjärnigt hotell! /A och J

Perfekt läge invid Kensington Garden på High St Ken. Kinarestaurangen på toppvåningen erbjuder fantastisk mat och service samt utsikt över hela London. Stora bekväma rum för att vara London, dock utan att vara lyxiga. Effektiv och trevlig personal.

Väldigt fint hotell. Väldigt god service, stora rum, ligger bra till om man vill bo i Kensington. Lite dyr frukost, men det finns många andra ställen i närheten som man kan äta frukost på. Perfekt om man vill bo 3 stycken i samma rum. En stor dubbelsäng och en ordentlig bäddsoffa.

Superb location, superb service, superb view.

I stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel over the Easter weekend for three nights. Having stayed at a number of other nice hotels in many different places, I can easily say that this hotels was the best so far. The atmosphere in the hotel was so calm and relaxed. The staff had the perfect balance between being professional and friendly. Every member of staff […] excelled in their posts. The Reception staff were outstanding. Very friendly and not the usual 5 star snobs that are so frequently hired to fill these posts. The food in the hotel was first class and very reasonably priced considering the surroundings. The staff in the hotel bars and restaurants were great, in particular Antonio from Southern Italy. Try the cocktails from thr drinks menu. The location of the hotel is ideal with a car park below the building. The Kensington High Street subway/tube station is about three minutes walk from the front door of the hotel. There are also lots of shops and restaurants located near the hotel. The hotel has an ideal location for sightseeing. We could walk to Harrods and Buckingham Palace from the hotel. The hotel room, Room 330, was excellent and very very clean. Great decor with a very comfortable large kingsize bed. The room had a great large screen HD free television set into the wall. Sofa and seating area in the room that looked out two very large windows.The windows could also open. The heating and cooling air conditioning was very good and very quiet. We had no noise at all from inside or outside the hotel. The Bathroom was very clean. It had a large double walk in overhead soaker shower and a seperate large deep bath. All toiletries were provided within the bathroom including bathrobes. It was a very comfortable room indeed. The bed was so comfortable with excellent pillows and crisp white linen. The hotel also has a well equiped gym which was very clean and provided towels and mineral water. We drove from Glasgow to London and the hotel was easy to find a short distance Läs mer

the New management added a beautiful aroma to the hotel. The service, cleanliness , atmosphere from the reception all the way to checking out is second to none!

I stayed here for 2 nights a few months ago and loved it so booked another night as a treat for my last night in London. I love the staff here, no one is phased by my lack of designer wear, in fact I am usually a bit scruffy and this time was no exception. Other hotels of lesser quality give me the once over whereas both times I have been here, not […] one eye was raised by my appearance. The view from my room this time round was not as good as the last, but I know to ask for the view now! All aspects of the Royal Garden are very satisfactory. In particular, the location is outstanding and is the main reason why I have been choosing it every time I visit London over several years.

Kind of off the beaten path, but a very nice hotel with a great dining room. Room was quite small, but hotel personnel were very helpful and pleasant.

The Royal Garden hotel is in a wonderful position next to Kensington Gardens and Kensington High St. It's my second stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it. Very pleasant and courtious staff and high standard of accommodation. Will return.

I had one of the Garden Rooms. The room is huge for London standards, the view over Kensington Gardens absolutely lovely. Room was very clean, staff generally friendly and helpful. The bathroom was also very nice including a tub and a walk-in shower. Doors could have been a bit more soundproof, you can hear pretty well when somebody enters or leaves […] their rooms on the hallway. However, I didn't hear a noise from other rooms directly. Hotel was in a great location and seemes to be recently redone. The gym in the basement is an added bonus. There was also a Whole Foods down the street which was great for groceries and it also had a fun wine bar. One strange thing - when they turned down the room, the water came out of the mini bar. The room was incredibly small, but extremely well-designed for the amount of space. I called down as soon as I arrived and asked for a larger room, but was told none was possible. I don't think there are many larger rooms in the hotel. It was an extremely tight squeeze, and doing my exercise routine was a major challenge. But in all other respects the […] hotel was great, the location, the lobby cafe, and especially the 10th floor Chinese restaurant where I had an outstanding meal, one of the best in London. I booked this hotel as a treat for myself and my partner as we have had a tough year!! and boy was it a treat!! Everything from the welcoming staff to the fab room!! I mentioned that it was my partners birthday and they very kindly left a little gift for him in the room. Very thoughtful. Location was great for all we wanted to do. Easy access to transportation, Great location.

Ok, nothing really wrong with it, but as a 5 star just does not quite have it..... we had been at the BerkeleyHotel for 5 days before this stay with them (same length of time) and they are like chalk and cheese. Same price per night and just no comparison - the Berkeley really feels 5 star. Little gripes too - they charge GBP20 per day for the internet! […] Just not on in a 5 star place charging what they do. Told management on that alone I would not go back. One positive - room service is not a complete rip off. The Berkeley charge you GBP4 service charge for room service on top of the food cost!! Amazing... Läs mer

We enjoyed our clean airconditioned large room and spacious bath with shower after our recent stay. It was and sunny and cool at the hotel -- superb! The wifi is not free and also the breakfast. Very costly indeed ! I think for the star they have they can make it free. the staff are lovely and helpful. thanks for the good time

THIS HOTEL HAS IT ALL, ITS IMACULATE WITH BEAUTIFUL DECOR AND A GREAT FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. IT IS VERY CLOSE TO A TUBE STATION AND HAS A NUMBER OF RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS HAVING TO PAY FOR INTERNET USAGE. ANY OF THE HOTELS WE STATED IN IN FRANCE HAD IT FREE

Don't be put off by the dull exterior, this is a lovely hotel with great service. We had a garden room which had a glorious view. Very convenient for Royal Albert Hall , access to some of London's greatest parks, Kensington High Street and tube. Can't really fault hotel apart from our room was just off lift lobby so we could hear the lifts; however […] this didn't detract from our experience. Läs mer

Nice hotel clean good rooms - the bar is a little sad - but otherwise wonderful hotel

The hotel was lovely and all personnel friendly. Everything was maintained beautifully. I selected a garden room although it was pricey, it showed exactly as the brochure. Our only concern was the conciege desk. We told them that we were off to get onto the Hop-On-Hop-Off double decker bus. They said they could provide the tickets and charge them to […] our room. Silly me for not asking about an upcharge for that. Our biggest concern was when we were leaving and asked to have them call a cab to take us to Southampton where we were going on a cruiseship. They said a cab wouldn't take us because we had too much luggage. But, they could hire a car for us that could take us. So, we said okay. Then, we were told it would cost 270 pounds but that we didn't really have another choice in order to get to the ship within the next three hours. And, of course, they charged it to our room. So, the car arrived and off we went. But, the driver stopped once for a beverage and another time for cigarettes. We did get there on time but what we were told was a 2-hour drive, was only 1.5 hours. Then, when we got our bill, we realized that the 270 pounds would equal to $500. At that, I almost fell off the chair. You see, we took a taxi from the airport to our hotel, which was an hour drive, and the cost was 40 pounds. I think we were totally ripped off. Läs mer

We went to London to go to the Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood concert at Royal Albert Hall. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. We like Italian food and Foubert's across the street was excellent. We ate at another place a few doors down because it looked very trendy and it was but the food was not good. […] Foubert's food is home made and fresh. The last time we stayed in London we stayed at the Hilton in Trafalger Square and I have to say that the Royal Garden Hotel is much better. Smoking rooms are connected to non-smoking rooms. Choked on the smoke leaking from the neighboring room all night. When I complained they just shrugged.

Overall positive experience and service superior. Smoking rooms smell in the floors. Only negatives were shower an TV Channels. Shower water temperature adjustment was limited to hot and too hot and TV channels are quite limited.

This was my first stay at this friendly and hospitable hotel - close to so many wonderful places and with the friendly service of all staff. I will certainly stay again.

A clean and friendly hotel in a very nice part of London. I will stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Another excellent stay at the Royal Garden Hotel. The quality of the service at this hotel is what makes it so special. The rooms are a little dated but spacious and this time we had wonderful views over Kensington Gardens and the palace. Will certainly stay there again.

Stayed here for the night following my engagement. Hotel is superb. Rooms are spacious and well looked after. Service is excellent. The only one criticism I have is the breakfast order form was a little confusing and we ended up ordering far more than we needed. Only other suggestion I would make is for toothbrush and paste in the bathroom. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. The room was good and met expectations. The best thing about the hotel was its location - it is very conveniently located - close to shops / Kensington High Street station and a bus stop just outside the hotel.

Above all it was the excellent service that we received at The Royal Garden that made our stay so pleasant. The hotel location is convenient and refreshingly quiet for central London. The main areas of the hotel are luxurious and beautiful, our room although extremely spacious was one of the older rather dated ones and the plumbing was archaic! All was great apart from the builders between 9am and 5pm renovating the hotel.

although we only had one night in the hotel the service we received was always pleasant the only disadvantage is the distance from west end but will hope to stay again

We found this Hotel to be good overall - but there is obviously a serious problem currently (late 2010) in that the Air Conditioning was VERY noisy - and meant that our Room (an Executive Room, otherwise comfortable) was not a pleasant place to spend time. Stayed here with a friend for a one night theatre break. It was a really good experience. Went to Bertie's Bar for half price champagne before the theatre. Breakfast in our room was great. Cooked breakfast, pastries, tea, coffee, toast, loads of food. Wonderful. Also check out was at 12 midday.

My experience may have been a one off the hotel gave us a noisy room and I had to complain quite hard yto achieve a change. Then they lost my luggage for two hours. It spoilt a special occasion and I know they tried with reparation in the form of champagne but I expected better of a five star!!

A perfect stay at this very nice hotel. All the staff were very helpful and the " Room Service " was excellent.

Thought the Hotel was great value for money - staff and service excellent lovely view of Kensington Palace Orla Dublin
