The bathroom was straight out of 1972. The toilet ran the entire night, even after I, and the maintenance man, tried to fix it. The shower was noisy and did not accommodate a normal sized person well I'm not tall and how to duck down. This hotel was very nice & service was great. The rooms are up to date and the lobby is very roomy. The hotel does have a parking garage which is okay but dark at times.

Stairwell was filthy. pool area very poor. I enjoy working out in the mornings before breakfast and the gym area was not user friendly. I loved almost everything about this hotel from the complimentary warm cookies to the super helpful staff. My only issue was there was a hair on my bathtub and the room was sort of small for it to be a king room. Other than that I would definitely stay again.

Beds were very comfortable and the room decor was nice. However the bathroom is in need of urgent maintenance. The shower head was leaking at the ball joint and the toilet flush system was rusted out. The air conditioning system for the room was not cooling properly most of the time.

Hotel was very nice, room very comfortable. Staff was helpful, however ... after taking a hotel shuttle to the Metra train station I was told to simply call the hotel to arrange a shuttle back. I called the hotel one hour and fifteen minutes before my train was due in at 11:14pm. I was told by hotel staff on the phone that shuttle service stops at 10:30pm […] -- this was not something I was told by the shuttle driver that morning. This hotel is directly across from the oak brook mall. And not too far from the outlet mall on 88. And the main reason I pick double tree is for their great tasting coffee.

I had an executive king size room. I enjoyed this because some kids soccer convention was in town and I had to use my key in order to get into my wing of the building and it kept the kids out. Room was tired and old. Shower controls worked so hard, my wife and kids didn't have enough strength to lift the sluggish knob. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Worst part of room was that the a/c didn't work and it was miserably hot all night long. Kids wanted to swim in pool, but when we got there, there were no towels. Then we noticed the water […] was all cloudy and gross. Management said they would check it out, but after 20 minutes we gave up and went back to our hot room. Happy we were only in town one night. We made a planned shopping stop at Merry Richards Jewelry and got the best in quality and service -a great experience. The hotel was top notch, very clean, comfortable and the staff was welcoming and professional. Will stay there again!

Service is excellent. The check in Double Tree cookie was perfect!! The price was also a plus since it was for a birthday and just wanted a night to ourselves. We didn't want to spend a ton of money just to get out of town.
