It was awful. The only thing worse would be to also have to fear for your safety. Hotel under construction. Elevators were extremely slow. Good thing there weren't more guests. One new elevator (about the only good thing). Very noisy room, probably from the construction. Kept getting woken by the strangest noises which never seemed to end. This hotel is undergoing major renovations and should not be open for business. The lobby is an active construction sight, complete with the non-stop sound of jack hammers. Escaping to one's room is not a respite as the living conditions have slipped greatly. Carpets are stained and not vacuumed, furniture broken, cracks in bathroom granite, outdated […] TV. All of this for the full normal rate. I respect the Hyatt brand, but their decision to leave this property open during renovation is very questionable. Although the hotel is doing renovations, they were very courteous about the construction. The room we got was newly renovated, and very nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

hotel/lobby under renovations- I paid for a 4 star hotel and got 2 1/2 stars. I should be notified before stay regarding renovations. My room #820 was not 4 star quality either.

The hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation. This information was not disclosed when we booked the room so we were quite surprised when we walked in. The workers began working at 6 a.m. which was an early wake up call. The staff was very accomodating and our room was very clean.

I stayed here as a one night getaway. The first thing I loved about the hotel is the location. Ite EXCELLENT! Its literally a 5 minute walk to most of the attractions/restaurants downtown. I'd never been to Cincinnati, but since the Hyatt is right in the heart of the downtown, I had no problem finding things to do. Either way, it wasn't bad enough to negatively effect my stay. The hotel is undergoing renovations, however, it was very quiet and my stay was pleasant. Since they are renovating/remodeling, everything in my room was brand new. The only thing I didnt like about the room was that the bed had no comforter and when i requested one, the one i was given was very old/worn, however it was clean. Also, the bathrooms are very small. I understand the hotel is undergoing renovations and so I am attempting to moderate my review based on that stipulation but the room itself was outdated (TV) and not user friendly (outlets did not work, only left one coffee cup in room with one packet of coffee when there were two of us in the room). The shower head was coming out of the wall, the marble […] counter in the bathroom was all cracked and broken. The breakfast buffet was decent but not for the cost of $15 per person!! We were in a room right next to the ice machine and housekeeping storage room so all night long there were knocks and noises that were completely annoying. Hotel is under renovation, if you get an older room, they are filthy. Mold in bathroom and just not clean. It's as if they just don't bother to clean the older rooms. It was so gross I have lost faith in hyatt and will be staying elsewhere.

The Hyatt is in the middle of a year-long top to bottom renovation. Unfortunately, this isn't disclosed in any way until you show up at the folding table they're using as a check-in counter. Construction noise ran from 6:30am to 8pm every day, despite notes from the manager to the contrary. For what has historically been an upscale hotel, I was semi-disappointed in the size of the room and the discomfort in checking in as the hotel is undergoing some major remodel. In addition, due to the number of people staying in the hotel and that some elevators were inoperable, it was necessary for us to take the stairs from the 12th floor.

The hotel was under construction while I was staying there. I wish someone had told me ahead of time. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I checked in to try and give me a room away from the construction noise. They even upgraded my room for the inconvenience. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They provided an ipod dock/charger/alarm, […] which was a nice touch, but the room could have used more basic technology like free internet and an HD TV. Because of the construction, there was no business center so I could not find free internet or a lounge to get some work done. Overall, I'm sure the hotel would be fine for business travelers once the construction is complete, but I was expecting better (and a warning) from a name like Hyatt. Läs mer

They are under going renovations so no restaurants are open. Complete waste of money. They messed up our reservations for a king bed and tried to give us two twin beds. Never again.

Booked through Hotel.com and I was thinking that the price was still too high but thought I would try anyway for New Year's Eve. The Hotel is under a major remodel and it's a disaster! Employees are rude and the New Year's Day breakfast was a bust! Never did get to eat since we waited in line for over 30 minutes with no acknoledgement from the hotel […] staff other than a bad attitude. Manager was no where to be found. The Breakfast was set up in a hallway or makeship conference room and getting to it was a challenge since the elevators are very slow and people didn't know which floor. Was certainly expecting more from a downtown Hyatt. The decor was very dated including dented doors and peeling wallpaper. The entire first level was undergoing renovation so hopefully things are being upgraded. Cleanliness was a big problem. When we moved in the bathroom wasn't tidy and there were two bottle caps on the floor. We had to ask to have […] our room cleaned (after 5pm!) and when we did all we found was that our bed was made. No towels or cups replaced, nothing cleaned...I was fairly shocked that so little was done even though we had to go out of our way to ask for it. Front desk staff, on the other hand, was very helpful and honest with us. Another plus was that the hotel is connected directly to the Skyway which gives you access to multiple stores and other hotels while avoiding the outdoors. Otherwise the pool and hottub were adequate. I was surprised to find two old arcarde machines which was a nostalgic treat. Overall I think the entire hotel needs dire renovations, updating and a new cleaning service aimed at meeting at least basic standards. Unfortunately because of these reasons I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the condition it is in. Certainly not worth the price. Läs mer

My Husband and I were not too impress with the cleanliness of the hotel and it's room decor. The drawers in the room had unpleasant items left by the previous guest. The decor in the rooms is not impressive -it felt more like a motel with old bulky televisions. Also, when we got there at the receptionist said that their will charge $50 p/night to our […] card for security, etc. and if there are no additinal charges then the entire money charged will be returned within 3-4 days. The hotel is conveniently located and is attached to a downtown shopping center / mall. The room was reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed with the "old style," picture tube television sitting awkwardly near the end of the bed. Not a home run, but not a bad hotel considering price and location.

I was on business in Cincinnati and the hotel was fine. Things that are not included and must be paid separately: internet, computer use, printing (for printing you must pay for the computer use and for the prints), etc. I would prefer a little higher rate and this type of services included.

Experience was OK and would stay again - except would be sure I did not get a room outside the ice machine. People were at the machine throughout the night - 1.30 - 3.30 am and woke us up each time. Hotel was very clean and you could tell they have renovated areas. Loved the equipment in the exercise room. Rooms were clean and quiet which is really all I want. The Desk staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint I had was the lack of hot water on Sunday but that was most likely Everyone in the hotel getting ready for the football game as there was more than enough hot water on the Monday.

We got a package deal with valet parking,breakfast and king sized bed.( just check your bill to make sure thy don't charge you for parking) One of the best things that was offered to us was to check our bags for free until we came back from the bengals game because we had checked out already. Wonderful experience, very nice room and atmosphere. Champs is a wonderful place to eat, the food was amazing, although I would have liked to have had free wi-fi during my stay.

Been a while since I stayed in a room where the TV was not a flat screen. Hair in the tub. Breakfast was late because someone put the wrong room number on the order. Took forever to get my car back from the valet. Generally not up to Hyatt standards.
