"You get what you pay for"
The hotel has a great deal of maintenance going on and is in generally poor repair in other areas, but that is what you have to expect for $65 a night. If you are just looking for someplace cheap to spend the night right in downtown Binghamton then this place will suit your needs. "Serves a Purpose"
I booked this hotel bec it was close to BU and cheap. It wasn't much more than that..the hotel staff was unprofessional (calling me "honey" everytime I spoke to them), there was no remote for the TV, and the "free" wifi didn't work. "consider downtown location"
Considering I booked trusting the internet site saying it had been remodeled in late 2011, I was not happy when I arrived to see that nothing was/had been remodeled that i could detect. I almost left, but since my room was prepaid, I swallowed hard and reminded myself..it was a roof over my head away from home. "Badly in need of renovation"

"Cheap place to stay"
I was very suprised when I got to the hotel, it has apprently been under renovation for quite a few years, and doesnt have any amenaties outside the room; besides the continetal breakfest, which looked as though anybody on the street could come in and eat at. The room itself was nice, king bed with 50 ish inch tv, not bad for $60. We were passing through […] and were just there to sleep the nite. The place was somewhat run down but reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable. Shabby lobby, unappealing breakfast area, but room was fine. We stayed at this hotel for the 2013 NYS Odyssey of the Mind Competition at SUNY Binghamton. It was easy to find with our GPS and a quick commute to the campus. For the room rate we paid the hotel was a match. The hotel itself was kinda dirty, but our room was not. The hallways have a stench of smoke, but our non-smoking room was fine. I found the bed […] kinda hard. However, we inspected the bed for bugs and found none and in fact, the mattress and box spring looked brand new - maybe that is why the bed was hard. We also struggled to regulate the temp of the room. Breakfast was items such as English muffins, bagels, cereal and a waffle maker. I got the impression that they have minimal staff. Others in our group that stayed said their rooms were dirty, but again ours was fine. They have awesome water pressure in the shower and an abundance of hot water, which was a plus. Pulling in I immediately noticed a ginormous pot hole. I guess to "fix" they put bricks in it! No signs to let me know that there were speed bumps. Inside was under construction. That didn't bother me. The elevator was so small I was a bit creeped out. It was a small spaced hotel I noticed walking towards my room. I also noticed dirty sheets laying […] on the floor in the hallways as well. (I checked in about 6pm) so the rooms should have been cleaned and all prepared for the next guests to arrive. The hallway floor didn't looked vacuumed. My room was tiny. But I ended up not staying and finding a different hotel for the evening. Over all it seemed like a cramped, semi-dirty, and cramped hotel. Side note- While waiting my turn to check in I noticed 2 different guests giving the employees a hard time and I will admit they kept their calm and were polite to the guests. "Not one of Days Inns' better establishments"
There are some very nice Day's Inns. This is not one of them. Pleasant check-in staff but morning staff indifferent at best. Large double room, clean with adequate lighting. Tiny elevator call button only worked from the ground floor, which the staff didn't mention. A/C was awful. At 20º outside we needed heat, which has two setting: high and low. Either […] way, sleeping is like having a fan blowing directly your face, no matter which bed. We did not sleep well. Breakfast is minimalist. On a very slow day, coffee was out, so we had to find the morning desk clerk. Choice of dry cereal, English muffin or bagel - no bread, or fruit. "Not worth the cost! Too much inconvenience."
Telephone did not work. TV remote did not work. Toilet got clogged and was not serviced. Room temperature was difficult to regulate. Room key did not work. Breakfast was a dismal failure.Verifierad gästrecension

Arrived at about 12:30 PM, wouldn't let me check in until 3 PM, no rooms available, if there was they would have charge me additional $35 for check in before 3 PM Had to switch rooms after 1st night. 1st room, no WiFi, water only warm for shower in morning, heater didn't work. Had to get staff to help set computer up for WiFi 2nd room, TV only work […] few channels and bad picture on others. Took 3 hours to get fixed. WiFi only work partial, very hard time getting internet. Then couldn't get ESPN3 because of their set up and staff not knowing pass words for their carrier. "Breakfast was very good."

smoke alarms went off several times with no response, when we tried to check out at 130am, the alarms were still going off... the clerk told us it was due to too much body heat in the club where a frat party was be held, then we saw the chaos from that party! "Do not stay"
It was a horrible stay. There was a big dance party so there was no parking and there were a lot of kids all drinking and doing other thing around the area. The fire alarm went off 4 times. This hotel was very poorly run. There were a couple of desk workers who were very good but everyone else was lacking, including the owner who reprimanded a worker in the lobby in front of guests. The keys rarely worked. The sheets and towels were old and rough, one had a black spot on it. One day they forgot to give us bath towels. When we dialed the […] front desk no one answered--twice (in the afternoon). Then when we went to the desk they told us they were out of bath towels, though with our persistence, they found one. They ran out of tea in the breakfast room. They said sorry but did nothing about it. The first morning there was no one in the breakfast room and it was dirty. The table in the lobby with a coffee pot was always filthy. Several flower vases on and around the front desk were wilting and full of yellow water. The price was very reasonable but that's no excuse for such poor conditions and service. Perhaps that would be a reason for fewer amenities (though they actually had many) but not for bad service. We were even at times ignored at the desk for a while.... "Why would Days inn put there Name on this hotel."
I feared for my life in this hotel. Not in a safe area at all. Strang men hanging out in lobby, inner lock was boken right off the door. There where beer bottles on the ground as soon as i left the next morning that where not there why i checked in. "STAY AWAY FROM THE DAYS INN IN BINGHAMTON!!!!!!!!!"
When we first arrived I had to wait 15 minutes to talk to someone even tough there were two people working the front. Hotel is dirty and dingy throughout with an unpleasant odor. parking is in the back, and there is no back entrance. We had to walk all around to find our room, as there are no clear signs. Once in the room (with our lovely view of a […] brick wall) the walls were so thin that we could here everything our very loud neighbors were doing. It felt like we were in the same room. We switched room, only to find that the T.V. didn't work. That was enough for us, so we went to a different hotel. i have stayed in several hotels, motels, inns and this was the most dirtiest one. even after a shower i still felt dirty. there was hairs in the bed and a bug, hopefully not a bed bug. bathroom faucet was loose and shower curtain had mold.Verifierad gästrecension
Not at all happy with our stay at this hotel except where it was located. My husband and I will not be future coustomers with any Days Inn. Being a housekeeper and having worked at multiple hotels this hotel was not clean, the lobby carpet was stained and very dirty, our bathroom had over a dozen pieces of hair in it, over all apperance of our room […] was not clean, the breakfast was not impressive at all. While waiting to check in my husband and I overheard a conversation with a staff member (behind the counter) and a guest who called down complaining that when he got to his room there were people allready in the room! My only suggestion for this hotel is to get a makeover! The staff should be re-trained in their field so they can do a better job! Also while checking in with over a dozen other people, there was only one staff member on hand.......my opinion there should have been at least two to make checking in alot easier for all! "Stay somewhere else"
When we arrived there was a gentleman sitting at the front desk with the girl that checked us in and while she was on the phone talking he ignored our arrival just surfing the internet. When she finally got off the phone, she informed us that the room we reserved was not available and would we take another, we had called from the road and told them […] what time we were going to arrive. I am guessing they either gave our room away or did not have our room available. They told us we could make a change in the morning. The room was dirty with dirt or crumbs on the floor near the window, the remote for the TV had batteries held in by tape, we had to fiddle with the plug for the TV to work and did not have a refrigerator as indicated the room should have. In the morning we were told we could not be moved until 11am. Both rooms were missing amenities. When we realized that there was no coffee maker in the 2nd room, we felt it was no big deal we could get coffee downstairs, it was so awful. When we pored it out is was all coffee grounds. The second room seemed better than the first, but we made the mistake of leaving the air-conditioner on and it smelled awful upon our return. The only thing that helped was turning it off. Lucky it was a cool night and we did not need the air conditioner. Continental breakfast was lacking there was only bagels, waffles and english muffins. No oatmeal & limited cereal. "Clean and Quiet"

The pictures that they show on the website doesn't look nothing like what you see when you get there. Check in was smooth. Scary elevator ride to the room on 3rd floor. Corridors smells very badly. The whole place was dingy. the room was clean and bathroom was clean but the carpet was dingy. The breakfast was poor at best.
