Bland dom bättre hotelfrukosterna som man har fått och då har man varit på både billigare och dyrare hotel. Kunnde vara bättre skyltat när man kommer från bryggan pga att hotelet ligger litte skymt.

Vad jag saknade vid entren var en ramp att dra upp min ganska tunga resväska på. En sådan vore säkert värdefull för rullstolsbundna och för familjer med barn i barnvagn.

Bergen har förmodligen värdens dyraste hotellpriser detta var ett budgethotel därför i dyraste laget

Bra läge.Allmänt trevligt hotell trots lågprisprofil.Lade till 65 NOK för frukost mycket prisvärt,då frukosten var mycket bra.

Good breakfast, good rooms, the hotel is not far from bergens main attractions. I am overall very satisfied with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who needs a cheap place to stay in bergen.

I liked this hotel. Liked, not loved. Location is good -- not in the thick of tourist traffic but not far at all from the main attractions. But you could say that about nearly any hotel in Bergen because the town is small. The staff was very nice. After a long tourist season, we visited in September and none of the wear and tear of hosting thousands […] of tourists throughout the summer showed on the faces or attitudes of the staff. Something we really respected and admired. The room was clean, but shabby. This hotel needs an update in a major way. Think Holiday Inn BEFORE Holiday Inn went through its renovations. A turnoff was trying to get a decent glass of wine or beer at the hotel. There's no bar. You have to get a wine/beer from the front desk and guess what ... they only serve one type of beer, one type of white wine and one type of red wine. How's that for cutting down your own sales. It's like telling your guests -- we really don't want you here, drink somewhere else. As others have noted, the breakfast buffet seems to be the answer for this hotel's other failings. And they're right. Buffet was stocked with salmon, yogurts, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, meats, hard and soft boiled eggs and other b-fast essentials. Unexpectedly decent and quite good. Too bad though -- I can recommend the place for those on strict budgets, but look around Bergen for someplace that doesn't feel like it's on its way down. Läs mer

For a city with very high hotel rates, I would highly recommend the Thon for those on a budget. Highlights were the breakfast and location of the hotel, and ability to leave luggage after checkout and while sightseeing. Room just OK, and bathroom could use a refresh.

Excellent location near waterfront and historic sites. Helpful desk staff. Ample breakfast buffet and cozy lounge area off the lobby.

The room was very clean, the location is great for sightseeing, and the buffet breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely go back.

This hotel is pretty average and in some manners, below average. The hotel staff is fantastic, the breakfast is spectacular, but the rooms are a bit run down. The table in our room was broken and wobbly, and the bathrooms could use some updating. However, the bathroom tile floors are heated, which helped dry out our soggy shoes over night from the rainfall. […] The location is fine and downtown is only a 6 minute walk. Its an accessible 12 minute walk from the train station. Its extremely close to the bus that takes you to the airport. Its only a 2 minute walk to the bus stop which is very convenient. I had a second floor room, viewing the parking lot I asked for a new room they did not have any other. Hotel not very well situated, They do not have soap bar, Place clean, room small, bathroom very small, not drawers, 4 hangers, internet access is good, the curtains do not block sunligth. This hotel has a prime location in Bergen and if you willing to put up with an older hotel with very little service - hey, you only want to sleep there - its fine. It's expensive by most standards, but very cheap for Bergen. Don't travel to Norway if your short of a quid - a beer cost anything from $AUD12 to $AUD16 in most pubs and restaurants.

Very satisfied with the amenities of the hotel although the hotel is not new rooms were nice and clean Location is near wharf lots of shops restaurants. Breakfast included is very good big selection for every taste. Only one thing there is no parking if you arrive on the later side you have to park two streets away in parking for another hotel and the […] parking is quite expensive. Läs mer

We booked a Standard Queen Room and what we got was a double bed that had 2 single bed sheets that met halfway up the bed! I went and checked with reception and they told me that the room was the Standard Queen room, and couldn't explain why there was a double bed. hotel is just far enough removed from the city's hustle and bustle, and just close enough to everything not to be a hindrance. the bus to the airport stops around the corner in front of the radisson. bus service from the rail station can be a bit tricky if you don't know where is the bus stop. leaving the station, turn right, and walk about 100 meters. […] turn right again and continue until you see a flight of concrete steps going up. climb the stairs, and cross the street. this is the stop for bus #29 which will bring you right to hotel door. it runs every 30 minutes, and the walk from the station is about 15. hotel has an illy 24/7 coffee maker in the homey norwegian lobby. in good weather, tables are outside where you can have coffee or breakfast with the rosenkrantz tower and hakon hall in full view (they are right next door to the hotel), and at the same time catch a glimpse of the harbor. This is a budget hotel -- the rooms are extremely small, the walls are thin, and the showers in the bathroom involve a depression in the tiled floor rather than a separate stall. But the staff is friendly and helpful, the room is clean, there's no charge for wifi, and the breakfast is extensive. It's hard to imagine getting so much at such a reasonable […] (for Norway) price. Good value for money, this budget hotels has friendly and helpful staff, and an excellent location next to most important sights in Bergen. Excellent breakfast included.

I stayed with my husband for two days. We booked triple room. It was almost the same rate which we paid to the Radisson SAS hotel in Oslo. I did not understand the differences between triple room and the double room. Room which we were given initially was a very small with one bed. As we complained, they changed us to a small twin room. Location was […] very good, and the hotel breakfast was good quality. For this big hotel, they only had one computer with Internet connection. So there were always people waiting. I tried the wireless connection in our room. It was free for the first 2-3 minutes, afterwards, it was automatically disconnected as the service after 1 mb was not free. Overall, this is not a bad hotel, but the infrastructure was truely basic (i.e. plastic toilet cover, and old mirror which still bears the old name of the hotel). Läs mer

There is no better location for an hotel in Bergen. Just not. This is number one. Breakfast is very good (but crowded - do not come too late). Staff is well trained and helpful. Hotel interriors are a little bit outdated but the our room (we were in a "triple" one) was obviously refurbished, quite clean with enough space. Internet connection (wireless) […] works well in the room - no need to go downstairs. Apparently can be recommended for vacation stay. Läs mer

We had an enjoyable short stay in Bergen. We stayed at the Thon as we had read other good reviews of the hotel. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly, booking us taxi's and giving advice. The rooms were basic but clean. We did have a problem with the fan in the bathroom not working - or maybe there wasn't one, but apart from that everything […] was good. Breakfast is great with a wide selection to choose from. A good idea to fill up with the cost of meals in Bergen! There is also free coffee and tea in the lounge. The hotel is ideally situated, it is almost right on the harbour and right next to the old town and just a short walk into the main shopping area. No noise problems in the hotel - other than when they fired the cannons! I would recommend anyone to stay here. Läs mer

great location right at the harbor and ferries are a short walk away. no need for the expensive cab ride minimum is 85kr. All the Thon Budget hotels have large buffet breakfasts

My friend and I had a wonderful time in Bergen. The hotel needed a taxi to get to it from the train station, but was within walking distance when we left by ferry. Once there it is in a great location for everything Bergen has to offer.

Pleasently surprised by quality of this hotel in its great location in the Bryggen. Had a problem with our first room & staff great & transferred us to another room to our liking quickly with no hassle or delay. Breakfast was good & good value. Overall rating excellent at a great value for Bergen.

Great location. We ate the buffet and found a good selection of foods on the buffet. Room was a decent size.

This was a nice hotel with basic services in a terrific location in a very expensive city. The biggest drawback, for a mature traveler, was the apparent lack of public transportation from the central station to the hotel. Taxis are expensive. Once we got there the hotel was what we expected and our cost did not include breakfast. The nearby Baker Brun […] was great for that. Läs mer

OK hotel well suited for tourist attractions. Hotel is not 'plush' but is absolutley fine. Pretty large breakfast on offer at cheap rate for Norway.

Great location in a pretty town. The hotel is ran-down. Amenities are very basic, mostly primitive. Room is not as clean as was expected for the price. We paid ~$150 for a primitive room with no breakfast. Breakfast was just "OK", nothing to remember. Long lines of hungry people waiting for their toast... The service was good but the condition of the room was not very good. The lightings were an issue as we had to ask to change the bulbs in the room and also telephone was not working. The bath tub was only for the kids not for the adults. A fat person if he/she sits in the tub I am sure he/she will not able to get up.
