LOVELY STAY. ONLY DOWN FALL WASNT TOLD HOTEL CHARGED 6.50 FOR PARKING ON THE HOTEL CAR PARK OVERNIGHT. RECEPTIONIST NEVER TOLD US.

I got a parking ticket the first day... paid for parking from then on, even though I stayed a full week. the food was fantastic! though expensive... the rooms are very small and as I need an ironing board (which they kept taking every day so I had to keep asking for it) it was cramped. the doors didn't fit well so there was light streaming in from the […] hall all night, the walls are extremely thin so I was kept awake from very annoying neighbours! but the staff were all lovely :) Läs mer

The Rodney is a small pleasant and personal hotel in a very charming part of the village of Clifton, Bristol. You are treated as an individual not a number. One very great advantage is that the bus too and from Bristol, every 12 minutes stops right outside the door with a direct route from Templemead station. Clifton has plenty of interesting shops […] and has a pleasant rural feeling but is close to Bristol. I doubt that we will ever go back to Bristol but if we did we would return to the Rodney. Young lady on reception desk did a grand job! Allocated room on 3rd floor which was quite a climb! Room small and hot. Mattress larger than bed base Bathroom adequate but toilet bowl needed a thorough clean. Location of hotel good for Clifton sights but parking difficult. Would consider visiting again but would need a room at least 2 floors down!!

It has seen better days, but we did not pay very much and the room was clean and comfortable. The TV did not work, but we find TVs in rooms never do. We had breakfast which was good. We only stayed one night, as we had planned. Generally, a good hotel for people like us who travel by foot or bus. I imagine parking would be more tricky. The hotel was pleasant, and the staff were delightful and obliging (and English.) However my single room was under the bar and therefore very noisy. Bar noises till closing time on a Saturday evening I can cope with, but heavy footsteps (on bare floorboards), clinking glass and loud conversation overhead until 1am was not conducive to a restful night. […] Beware of Room 3. The Rodney Hotel is in the attractive area of Clifton, in Bristol and is close to two roads of bistros, bars and shops (both arty antique shops and a couple of supermarkets), It is also within walking distance of the University area. This regency building has been modernised inside, with the result that the bedrooms were much smaller than expected, […] and furniture was minimalist. But the main drawback for us was the heat, We were unable to turn the radiators down, with the result that we felt roasted. We asked to be moved to another room, on a lower floor, but this new room was even smaller and we still had the same problem of being too hot. Aside from this the Hotel was clean and the restaurant was attractive. However we did find the service on the one evening when we ate in extremely slow - and we were the only two in there! The food when it came was delicious, if portions slightly small. At breakfast we were offered cooked food which we gladly ordered. However, when it came to settling up, we were asked to pay for our breakfasts again - I had understood that this had been paid for already as "Options" with the online booking arrangements, so am not sure whether we were charged twice. My review is based on the room I stayed in, other rooms at the hotel may be infinetly better than the closet I stayed in. I used to be involved in the construction of prisons and I am not exagertaing when I say that room 3 is smaller than most cells. You would struggle to swing the proverbial cat, as I sat pondering this the cleaner walked in compleytely […] unannounced and surprised to see me, despite the fact that I`d checked in a good hour or so before. But the biggest gripe that I have with room 3 is the level of noise. I believe my room was directly underneath the bar, every footstep, every chair being dragged on the wooden floor could be heard. People`s conversations were as clear as a whistle, I may as well have just slept in the bar. The only redeeming feature was the food, it was brilliant. Läs mer

Some what tired décor, but clean. The room was next to the WC for the bar and restaurant, with a evidently insubstantial partition wall. However the room was comfortable, a good powerful shower albeit operated off the bath taps - so required some fine tuning to establish an acceptable temperature mix. Very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff, a private garden, imaginative restaurant and genuine period charm. Clifton's bars and restaurants are a short step away. 제가 머문기간동안 리셉션에 여성분들이 대부분이고.. 아주 친절하고.. 호의적으로 맞아줍니다. 브리스톨에 다른 호텔에서도 숙박했었는데.. 시설좋은호텔은 오히려 시끄럽고 별로 친절하지도 않았지만 이곳은 조용하고 하나하나 요구사항에 다 적극적으로 수용해줍니다.오히려 가족적인분위기에 안전한 느낌이었답니다 오래된 건물 이지만 스팀 잘나오고 청소 잘해줍니다. 아침도 배부르게 먹을수 있답니다 .적극추천 합니다.
