Le Negresco är ett klassiskt hotell som gått hand i hand med rivierans gulddagar och som rivieran är lite bedagad så är även hotellet det. Själva hotellet är helt fantastiskt med sin konst, rummens 1700-tals prägel och korridorer och trapphus som går i olika konstriktinngar. Madame Augier som äger hotellet väljer ut vilka konstverk som ska visas. Den […] stora salen innanför lobbyn är helt magnifik i sin prakt och här kan man tillbringa timmar och bara studera alla otroliga utsmyckningar och konstverk. Servicen på rummet är mycket bra. Personalen visar rummet, bagaget bärs upp och varje kväll kommer en ur personalen och tar bort överkastet samt ställer fram tofflor vid sängen! Vi hade rum mot havet och det var underbart att vakna varje morgon med blicken till ett soldränkt hav. Vad som var mindre bra är prsinivån på mat och dryck. Baren, magnifik i sig tar 10€ för 33 cl öl, 9€ för en Coca Cola och 15-20€ för en drink. Rotundan som är den lite "billigare" restaurangen har god mat med servicen är lite vimsig och inte prisvärd. Chantecler är säkert oerhört bra, men kostar därefter. Kort sagt inte prisvärt på mat och dryck. Ska du bo på ett hotell med med mycket käsnla och lyx är detta ett självklart val. We stayed at hotel Negresco for three nights to kick of our visit to the French Riviera in july 2010. All in all we were very happy with the hotel, i'm sure it's one of the best in Nice. When walking along the Promanade des Anglais we could not see another hotel we'd rathar stay at, and that says something. However everything wasn't perfect. The concierge […] service was inconsistent and mixed very nice places (La Reserve, Le Petit Maison) with some absolutly AWFUL restaurants (Boccaccio). The first night we asked for a good restaurant with a nice terrace and a good view of the ocean, they sent us to the in hotel Bistro restaurant which was situated on the Promenade des Anglais which has A LOT of trafic. So a recommendation would be to find restaurants before you go there. The rooms are quite big and fun. We stayed in a Classic room and it could need some minor fixes. For example the tiles in the bathroom had alot of cracks. Ofcourse the prices in the hotel are very steep as expected on the French Riviera. Specialy in the hotel bar and breakfast. The beach is not a private beach, it's open for anyone who pays and can be booked in the reception. It's located just across the street and I would say it was quite average. Plastic sunbeds and the restaruant was Ok, nothing special. The water is very clear but the beach is quite rocky. Läs mer

Old nice hotel, in the midst of Nice, nice service and a fantastic restaurant: La Chanteclere

We loved our room, the view (partial sea view) and the 5-star treatment from the staff. It was enjoyable just to walk around the hotel and view the amazing art collection. Our 2-night stay was part of our honeymoon trip in Europe, and staying at Hotel Negresco was definitely the most luxurious part of our trip.

Old, but non the less magnificent in service and ambience. Le Chanteclere is absolutely top notch, but La Rotonde is much slover in service.

Negresco is such an amazing hotel, and of course it is 5 star and on the French riviera, however these are all qualities you can find in other hotels. Negresco is special, and it is a lifetime experience if you get to stay there. The hotel is privately owned, so you can immediately imagine that is is run differently. If you go there you just need to […] learn about the history of it, and walk through the halls of paintings of Picasso, Renoir, Dali to see that it is amazing. The reason why there is such art and that the hotel is so specially decorated is because of the private owner. Unique experience and is a must-see if you go to Nice. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. we stayed 4 nights here in February 2012 and found our room to be an excellent size and although we chose a garden view room we still had a lovely view of the sea and the gardens of the musee massena. The bathroom has been renovated - it is not too bad but not sumptuous, shower is a bit small and standard. We only ate one evening snack here - the restaurant […] we thought was hideous and food terrible but breakfast of coffee and croissants served in our room every morning was lovely. We would recommend this hotel for comfort of room, location, view and because it is a justifiably iconic place in Nice particularly if you like contemporary art. Läs mer

Negresco is a very good place to stay, it's just too bad that this place is in Nice. Our room was very interesting; walk-in closet, huge well-appointed bathtub, colorful interesting decor, comfortable. If you're arriving by car know that with the valet is on the SE corner because you'll have to be ready to pull over right away or you'll have to go around […] the block. Which can take a while during the traffic periods. Driving in Nice is not good, and I usually enjoy driving in Europe. Monaco/Monte Carlo is fantastic. If I come back to this area I will stay there or on the coast. There are two restaurants in this hotel. One is the fancy place, which we did not visit, and the other is called the Rotunde (sp?). It's decorated as if it is an old-time carousel. Interesting, though they wouldn't sell us anything to eat at 10:30 AM. I know you have your siesta time(s) here, but hotel restaurants should be open for more than coffee during the late morning, in my opinion. Decent area with plenty of restaurants, shops, hotels, etc. If you're staying in Nice, then this is a good place for you. Läs mer

We felt very lucky to get great prices for a great hotel. There was some out offseason maintenance which was reflected in the rate. THe Negresco is one of those places " must do " We did we have happy memories

We loved our stay at the Negresco, primarily because the hotel is an icon in Nice. Our room, on the fourth floor, was adequate and attractive in an historical way. We've stayed in much nicer rooms. The appeal of staying here, however, was the museum-like atmosphere of the Negresco, and the great service we received from the front door to the front desk […] to our rooms and back to the car to depart the next day. We stayed here because the rate was good and location seemed ideal. This place is overhyped in my opinion. The location is good, but the "art" is way over the top and not in a good way. There is too much of it. Its as if the owner said, I have all this money and need to spend it to fill up every square inch of wall space. We were on the second floor […] with carpet right out of 1970. Looking at it will make you seasick. Also, avoid room 272. We were told that we got an "upgrade" to a junior suite from a standard room. Problem is that the head of the bed is adjacent to apartments that the hotel does not own. As a result, the noise coming from them can't be quieted because its not in their control. They offered to move us and we took them up on that, but were placed on the road/sea side only to hear every car going by. We are glad we had an opportunity to stay here, but would not do so again. If fact, Nice France like the Negresco is locked in a time warp. Finally, the rooms like the rest of the hotel have too much junk in them and the "art" is mostly crap and there is too much of it! Le Negresco was probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. A magnificent building and so tastefully designed. The location was amazing and the staff were always there to lend a hand, give advice, park your car and were really exemplary in every way. Would highly recommend it

Excellent, exclusive and magnificent it is standing proudly along the Promenade de Anglais and the beach. It's a very original hotel due to all the mixed art they have collected over the years. We managed to get a reasonable price through hotels.com which was far beyond what we would have to pay otherwise and from booking to checkout all went smooth […] and satisfying. Läs mer

This was a lovely hotel and is managed very well. I loved the fact it is family owned and it shows in the care given to guests and the attention to detail. The design on each floor is great and it was a lovely place to stay. The bathrooms are great also.

Simply the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Worth every Euro. Looking forward to a full sea view next time!

Everything was wonderful except the noise from the bar until the early morning hours (we were on the second floor!)

What an exquisite hotel and location. So beautifully appointed with attention to every detail. Absolutely delightful

Prompt and efficient service and a great location redeemed what was otherwise a disappointing experience at this famous Riviera hotel. Staff were helpful at all times but the 1st floor room was located above a bar in the lobby where a singer kept us awake until 1:30am--not good when u need to catch a flight at 6:30am. in addition, the room was small […] and on the shabby side--the gold bathroom suite didn't do it for me either and the toiletries looked cheap. Although the lobby area is beautifully renovated with great art and antiques, we found the bathrooms rather outdated for a 5 star hotel. Also, our room was comfortable but very noisy. It is definitely a 4 star hotel, but I wouldn't call it a 5 star.

Negresco is beautiful and very original, but for a 5 star hotel- or even a 2 star, the bed was a joke. It was actually two beds pushed together- one of which had a major dip in the center. The hotel itself is grand- I'd pay to look around the different levels and all of the art, but I would make sure to look at the room before sleeping there again! The […] breakfast room is another example- very fun place to eat, but they obviously know that because there seemed to be little to no effort put into the food itself! Also- the staff was a little grumpy and unwelcoming... and it's decor is a very silly theme! Should be light-hearted! This is a hotel well worth visiting. We stayed for 4 days in August 2010. Everything about it is first class, staff, location, ambiance, comfort. We were lucky to get a balcony with a sea/garden view There are only 7 rooms with balcony. Beautiful old and new decoration. Each floor has a different theme and it is well worth having a peep. Our booking coincided with the first day following extensive renovations, and damage from recent severe rainstorms in the area. Because the room was not ready, so we went outside for lunch. On returning to the hotel, there was no hotel employee at the door so we opened the door ourselves and were obstructed from re-entering the hotel by over zealous […] security staff. Our room had no/erratic hot water, a television that did not work, no Hotel Service Directory, a stain on the room carpet, marks on the ceiling and a large placement tag on the main light fitting. The first three of these problems were responsively resolved by hotel staff . To some extent such problems might be expected but there was no indication given of possible "first day challenges" at check-in and an opportunity to manage client expectations was missed. On the other hand the reputation of the Negresco is such as to create expectations that it would not have opened before all was ready. Overall, we were left with the disappointed feeling of being treated a little like "carriage trade" by a hotel that has perhaps come to believe too much in it's own publicity. Läs mer

The Negresco may not be up to modern 5-star standards, but in its own quirky way it is quite wonderful. The service is impeccable, the decor of the public areas is unique, the rooms are sumptuous and the situation cannot be bettered. Overlook the slightly dated bathrooms and the average breakfast. This hotel was exquisitely decorated with art, each floor showcasing a different theme and artist. The lobby alone is jaw-dropping, but considering the location on the coast of the Cote d'Azur just down from old town and all the shopping a tourist could wish for, it was all so stunning. The room decor was a dream come true as was the bar downstairs. […] Although we did not dine in the restaurant, we had an exceptional bottle of champagne where the bartenders and live piano player showered us with attention and a really great time. If you are planning a trip to Nice, book Hotel Negresco, it really does exceed any expectations I had and completely the loveliness of our stay. Läs mer

This hotel is very interesting...and the last privately owned hotel in Nice. I met the 86 year old owner in the elevator! Fun, comfortable and very pleasant service. Only drawback - the breakfast was really expensive!

Musée qui a subi des touches de restaurations modernistes très kitch. Personnel au top. Équipement vieillot : la prise rasoir de la salle de bain ne marchait pas... lavabo repeint écaillé.

Un très bon séjour d'une soirée sur Nice mais de très grande qualité. Ce fut une soirée de bonheur.

니스공항에서 15분 밖에 걸리지않아서 위치가 마음에 들었어요 ^^ 유명한 호텔이라 말할것도 없이 좋았습니다. 아쉬운건, 호텔 각층을 구경을 더 했으면 좋았을텐데 정작 호텔 구경은 못했네요 ㅠ 조금 춥긴했지만 다른건 다 만족스러웠구요 깨끗하고 좋았습니다. 근데 체크아웃 할때 9유로 수수료가 있더라구요 그건 몰라서;;; 암튼 좋은 호텔이었고 만족스러웠습니다.

Понравился ужин в бистро Ротонда. В отеле надо пожить хотябы на один день, тогда удовольствте от пребывания в Ницце увеличивается вдвое. Отель похож на музей. Negresco er det aller beste hotellet vi har bodd på, og kan anbefales på det sterkeste! Service , mat, rommene, var bare helt utrolig bra, og frokosten er den beste vi noen gang har spist! Utrolig hyggelig service var det også, og man føler seg som kongepar! Nå hadde vi utsikt til havet, og bare det å sitte å se utover var balsam for sjelen! Anbefales […] på det sterkeste! Läs mer

This hotel is one of the best 5 stars hotel we have stayed on. It has a fascinating mix of new elegance and oldfashioned "museum-style". A great balance of mixing modern art with old art. Very serviceminded staff and it was very clean everywhere. We have stayed in Nice around 20-30 times, but most oftenly with our 4 children. This time we went alone […] for some days, and we are very satisfied with selecting Negresco. Excellent restaurants and a nice terrasse at La Rotonde for late evenings. We will certainly come backand we really will recomend this hotel to family, friends and collegues. Läs mer
