Very relaxing. Enjoyed the piano bar. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Restaurant was a little pricey. Indoor-outdoor pool and hot tub were very nice. We didn't take advantage of the spa, but it had an excellent reputation. Grounds were well kept. We really enjoyed the man responsible for boat rentals and supervision of the docks. Fantastic view, mid week most lodge facilities were closed. Bartender at the parrot bar was nice the one night it was open. Also had a school group staying one of the nights that was noisy. Blinds let in way too much light. AC was noisy off and on. Wi-Fi was not working. Place is showing its age also. The owners have let this hotel in prime location on the Lake of the Ozarks deteriorate considerably. It is in need of much updating. I was very happy with the hotel. The only problem was I was told there was a buffet breakfast when i checked in. As it turns out it was $15. I only had juice and toast.

Experience the rustic Lodge feel with the Hip Retro vibe and ultra moden convince near the lake. Rm 2200 was fabulous. Huge gas fireplace, king bed, garden tub, flat screen tv. The Breeze restaurant was great as well as HK'S Streak house. The Spa is not to be missed. And check out the resort activities.

This is an older property, but is very elegant in the common areas. The rooms are good for the age of the hotel. This was off-season, so the hotel was not very busy, but the staff in HK's Restaurant was excellent. Gordon the Mgr was awesome and very attentive to our needs as was the bartender. Valets to park your car, somores ready to make on the fire in the lobby, free full breakfast, big open bar area, gorgeous lake views, very clean rooms with a big TV and fresh coffee ready to be made (a bit outdated but lodge - like and appropriate). Lovely staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. 100% YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife, 4 year old son and I recently spent the weekend at this hotel. The room was clean and the staff were superb. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

We came at the end of the season so that could be the reason for cleanliness issues. The service was great. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The location is good because of the golf and fishing.

We especially enjoyed the bonfire complete with hot cocoa and s'mores. The activity director at the fire was welcoming and a great hostess. Great touch!

Although many reviews of the main lodge have been lukewarm, the Avila 2-bed condo was OUTSTANDING. It was brand new, had a full kitchen, and was nicely appointed. It has one room with 2 queen beds and a bathroom; the other room has a king bed and its own bath as well. They are connected by a sitting room and a kitchen. Given it's reputation, I expected more. Very disappointing. The first day we found a piece of ice cream cone on the floor (hopefully from the previous occupants). Room was tired and out of date.

Hotel is old. Put in a hole and hard to get too. Never found the elevators. Very noisy bec we were in the middle of a convention. Breakfast at breeze was ok but dirty. Sorry

Beutiful landscaping, views and walking trails. The Avilla rooms and suites are 4 star the other rooms at the lodge need some upgrading and are not 4 star.

We reserved a King size bed for a weekend getaway. We arrived to a double bed, no in room WI-fi, bad smell like they were trying to cover up something. The toilet looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. They had painted the bathtub which was peeling off in chunks. There was mold around the tub and in the grout between the tiles. We went to the […] front desk and he apologized and asked if we wanted the maid to come...the hotel manager was not available until morning, we finally got him to switch us to a new room. When we went in the second room, the smell was not as bad, the mold was not as bad, it was late so we stayed. In the morning when we woke up, pulled back the covers to find the comforter was bloody. It was not even previously washed blood, never washed---- Gross! We went back to the front desk where we did talk to the manager. She apologized and asked if she could send the maid. Really, that's their answer (??), "can I send the maid?" She did agree to move us into the main hotel, to a king size room. Many reviewers have said this resort needs updating, which is true, but in our (my 83-year-old mother and myself) experience, the pro's outweighted the con's. The furniture and the carpet in our lodge room needed updating, but the bathroom looked new. The resort grounds are beautiful, along with the flowers and Japanese garden. We did not use the spa […] so I have no comment about that. The restaurant where we had a free breakfast buffet each morning was very nice. The staff members were exceedingly friendly and helpful. All in all, in spite of needing some updating around the lodge, we had a very pleasant experience. Läs mer

Everything was there at the resort. We didn't leave the area. Did some hiking, they upgraded our room and added breakfast vouchers that were not originally included. The room was spacious. Very nice and relaxing stay.

Pros: The property itself was really nice. There were four pools including an indoor pool (useful in the chilly fall weather) and a beach area, the grounds were nice, and the lobby in the main lodge was quite nice, with a big fireplace and a comfortable bar/lounge area. Our room, which was not one of those in the main building, had a nice view of the […] water and was very clean. There's also a nice, albeit slightly pricey, restaurant in the main lodge. The property was also reasonably quiet - no nighttime noises to keep you awake. Cons: The room itself was a pretty outdated, and could definitely use a facelift. The bed was a lot harder than I like and the comforter was a little thin. We visited the breakfast buffet once - it was not impressive. Typical hotel fare: scrambled eggs, bacon, cheap pastries, chunks of melon. Service at breakfast was non-existent. First issue was the room was very small and old. We were on the first floor and it felt like we were in a basement. The bathroom toilet flooded within the first 15 minutes of our stay. Attemted to move us to a room without a King Size bed, which was not what was requested or paid for. They moved us to the Main Lodge buidling which was much nicer. I think I had high expectation; I like nice fancy hotels and this wasn't it at all. I did enjoy swimming and it was fun. The staff was really really nice and helpful. There was no fridge in my room.

Hotel is very nice. The restaurant food and service is horrible, hopefully you have a rental car so you can find another place to eat.

Everything was wonderful but beds were smaller than what I thought. Curtains were worn out, but atmosphere was great. Me and My family had wonderful time.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. We arrived early and they were happy to try to get us into the rooms before the check in time. We needed 2 rooms next to each other and they were great about making this happen. While we waited that encouraged us to use the pools. The main building was very nice. I don't know what the rooms were like in the main […] building because we stayed in Seasons Bay. The rooms there were ok but could use some work to make them better. The view of the lake from the room was great. We had problems with the door closing but the staff helped us with that. The shower in the bathroom took a very long time to get warm and there were a number of bugs in the light in the bathroom. There are several pools to go to and it was easy to find one that was not very busy. There is rental for boats and jet skis right on the water which was great so we didn't have to drive some place else. Läs mer
