Vi var mycket nöjda med vistelsen på US grant. I en stad som både är ny och gammal var det finfint att bo på ett historiskt och genuint lyxigt hotell. Närheten till restauranger och hamnen var också toppen. Faktiskt - en av våra bästa hotellupplevelser nånsin.

Beautiful old hotel, very nicely remodeled. Loved the quality and style. Only negative was that there was not a bath tub for a long relaxing soak. Overall, a wonderful property, great stay, will come again

it is historic and grant, but the art works @ the lobby & in the room cannot harmonize into it. The sofa & the towel are not very clean. Hotel breakfast was great.

Beautiful hotel. Impeccable personalized service. Fabulous food and drinks at Grant's Grill. Walking distance to nightlife. During our stay there was construction across the street restoring some kind of fountain park, looking forward to seeing the finished product on my next visit. Spa services were nice as well. This hotel was perfect. Hotel staff was super friendly and more then acommadating. Hotel was very clean only thing I would change is they should put new carpet. Beds were very comfortable! Right across the street from yardhouse and the mall literally. Tons of shops and restraunts in walking distance. 5 minutes away from zoo. :)

Stayed with my wife and 4 yr old son. The people are unbelievably nice. Always asking how we were doing, do we need anything, follow up on requests. My son loved all the attention. The signature suite was great. Has a table for comfortable in room dining. 700 square feet. Great location for most attractions but nice to have a car.

The staff here is excellent - the room had its issues - but I think many people staying in SD hotels have the same complaint, they can be loud when you're trying to sleep. Friends at the Marriott said they heard the train all night. I heard traffic. So maybe request a room high up?

Apart from the very noisy renovation across the road at Horton plaza starting before 7am every weekday, it was a good stay. Had to get up early anyway...

We stayed in the" Signature Suite". . .It was wonderful. We'll stay there again. Great location. Centrally located in downtown SD - Close to great food - shopping and Transportation. Very clean room - Service was top notch. A great hotel - 5 Star !

Great hotel comes with a rich history and stands proudly in San Diego. Only downside, no free wifi in the rooms. People could come in from the street and use the lobby free wifi but paying guests could not access in the comfort of their rooms! Otherwise a gem.

The Hotel was very nice. However, we had to keep our blinds closed so no one could see into our room. We did request to have our room changed and the hotel did. The new room had the same problem!!! It was very disappointing to have this happen at such a nice hotel.

The room was great -- spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was lovely. The only ding I would give is the shower was not as clean as it should have been (drain emitted unpleasant odors). But, I would definitely go back.

We enjoyed this hotel and its convenient location. Room was luxurious and very nice. It is on the trolley and bus routes for going to all of the popular places. We could walk to the pier and the restaurants there. Nice walk to the Midway Carrier and ferry to Coronado Island. There is a Corner Bakery and French Bakery about a block away and some nice […] shopping. Also close to the Gas Lamp district. Highly recommended. Läs mer

My wife and I stay at only two hotels in San Diego and this is one of the two. The U.S. Grant is an old iconic hotel which is right in the middle of where you want to be in San Diego. It is always clean and the staff is very friendly making sure you are taken care of. Though this hotel is very pricey, being so close to everything makes up for it since […] we didn't rent a car and we either walked or took public transit, which is very efficient in SD. We stayed overnight to catch a nearby concert. Fabulous location; very easy to get to using public transportation. The hotel is beautifully restored with elegant rooms. Very luxurious and comfy beds, nice amenities. Some of the woodwork/mouldings in our room were grimy. Only real complaint was the demolition noise across the street that started at 7 […] a.m.; it sounded like WWI in our room. Would stay again in a heartbeat once construction is done, though! Läs mer

It was a great location, but the carpet in halllways and rooms was EXTREMELY stained and dirty. There was a smell of urine on the floor I stayed on. I was very disappointed with the lack of help when I checked in. We asked to stay in joining room and wait about 4 hours for this to happen and they still didn't make this happen. No one offered to help […] with our bags when we checked in. The air conditioner in my room didn't work very well it was always hot in my room. Overall nice hotel. A little old but I enjoyed that. I didn't enjoy the construction at 7am Sunday morning doing demolition. I didn't get to sleep in like I had planned.

Great classy hotel, decor and ambiance is beautiful, location is perfect, staff was great, reception/lobby is grand. However, our room is a bit noisy from the construction, traffic, and probably lack of proper insulation since we can hear people's voices from the hallway. A beautiful, elegant hotel with impeccable service. While the hotel exudes old world charm, the rooms are comfortable and modern, with the exception that the air conditioning didn't keep the room cool enough at night.

Hotel staff was friendly and a pleasure at each encounter. I was however surprised that with all the restoration completed that the hotel carpets on the 5th floor had extreme water stains. Had to make a last minute reservation on the way from the airport. Got to front desk unable to finish online. Check in made me finish instead of giving me the rate. I showed to her and said are you going to make me go thru and finish this? She said yes. What's up with that? In my experience other Hotels have been happy to honor and prefer being called […] directly at a very good rate. Anyway, other than that the staff are very helpful, it's a beautiful, well kept hotel. Lovely Bar and lounge, with great live music It's in a very central location, about 2 blocks from 5th Ave, where there are tons of bars, restaurants and shopping. The service at the hotel was excellent: friendly, helpful, and professional. However, we did have some difficulty reaching anyone from our room in order to get a non-feather pillow sent up to us. For over an hour there was no answer at housekeeping or the front desk when we called from the room and we finally had to get dressed again and go downstairs […] to the lobby to find someone. This was only at 8:30 in the evening, not the middle of the night. Unfortunately, our room was in need of repair. There was a large amount of black mold growing around the window frame in the bathroom, paint was peeling on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom, the windows had huge gaps in them letting in torrents of outside air which meant that the room heater had to run all night to keep the temp warm and it was quite loud, and the curtains had a tear and had fallen off the curtain rings several places (not a big deal but didn't give the impression of a well kept-up luxury room). The location is very convenient but there is a very run-down hotel opposite and we had a view of half-naked guys hanging out of rooms with broken and dirty windows. There was a lot of street noise from people out at the local bars as well. The lobby is beautiful and the bar is nice. Overall an OK experience. Not sure if we'd stay again. Läs mer
