"Lufkin La Quinta"
Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Hotel room was larger than most, clean and very comfortable. The first room we were provided smelled like smoke. As soon as we told them, they apologized and moved us to another room that had no smoke smell.

clean place but nothing spectacular.location is terrible but that is due to the texas one ways on frontage roads.

"La Quinta lufkin"
The room smelled really and like a smoking room. I had specifically requested a non smoking room for this reason since none of my family smokes.
"Wasn't that bad"
I wouldn't pay a lot to stay here, but wasn't that bad. Pool was nice and big. Beds were comfortable and room clean, just old. I'd stay here again. Casa Ole good mexican resturant within walking distance of hotel too was a huge plus.

"If you want a lived in room, stay here!"
When we booked this hotel, the rooms looked decent, we were only stopping late and leaving early. When we checked in everything was okay in the lobby, it seemed to be clean. We go into our room on the second floor. When we walk in the first question out of my husbands mouth is, "Are you sure this is the right room?" We walk in to find boxes of Roman […] noodles sitting out on the dresser next to the tv. There was a half-eaten loaf of bread on the desk with a receipt of some kind next to it. There was stuff still on the nightstand and a box with a grill on the floor next to the dresser. On the back of the chair in the room was a towel that had been used by the rooms previous occupant. The pool was dirty, I checked it out before letting my son swim in it. Seeing the conditions they left the room in made me wonder about the pool. I know that if I ever need a last minute place to sleep, I might just stay in the car. At least I know who was there and that it had been cleaned before falling asleep. I try to give the benefit of the doubt in all cases, but my stay here was not a pleasant one and I will most definitely not be coming back. Läs mer
"missing silk robe"
we had a one night stay,for got silk robe in room 110 no one at hotel knows any thing about it. we will not go to any La Qunita Inn any longer. sorry that we have to part like this, but the silk robe can not be replaced it was a gift from wife who died 3 years ago it ment so much and it hurts that they couild not find it. with much regret Mr. M
"Well Done"
Stayed @ LQ-Lufkin while on a biz trip. This facility is well run and they didn't miss a beat. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and I appreciated their efforts. I also appreciated their arrangement with the Live Well Fitness Center, where LQ provides passes to their guests.

"Close to the Mall"
Very close to the Mall in Lufkin, lots of Resturants and a super wal-mart across the street.

"Homey feeling"
Quiet and comfortable.

My room smelled musky. i would have requested a new room, but it was late, i had just drove 3.5 hrs and just wanted to sleep. I prefer hotels with interior doors vs. those that are accessed from outside. this hotel has outside access. The breakfast was not as good as other La Quintas I have stayed at. "Great room for the money"
construction around the hotel added a few minutes driving time but the hotel was friendly and clean
"Not bad for the money"
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, but trash cans didn't have trash bags. Didn't like the fact that I was in the back of the hotel with little parking.
