Tyckte det var riktigt bra. Fint område med goda förbindelser. Tio minuter promenad och tio minuter tunnelbana så är man på 42:à gatan

Mycket nöjd. Snygg inredning och rent. Inga vägglöss :-) Väldigt bra och trevligt läge nära tunnelbanestationer och någon minuts promenad till central park. Mycket sköna sängar och kuddar. Personalen var mycket glad och hjälpsam och gav oss gärna tips och information om stan vid fråga. Vi förstod oss först inte på varmvattnet, men det visade sig att det måste saknas cirkulation i ledningarna så vi fick spola ett tag - sedan kom värmen.

Trevlig personal och en trivsam lobby. Läget intill SoHo perfekt. Bekväma rum och fin städning. Underbar NY-känsla direkt utanför hotellet. trevligt med anslutande bar i samma byggnad. Skulle gärna återvända till detta hotell.

Helmsley Park Lane Hotel ligger i hjärtat av New York på gångavstånd till Tiffany & Co. och Carnegie Hall. I närheten finns även Rockefeller Center och Museum of Modern Art.

Vi bodde hela familjen i samma rum. Stort rum med två mindre "dubbelsängar" som blev lite trångt. Perfekt om man reser med två mindre barn. (inte två stora tonåringar som vi gjorde) Frukost skulle ingå men det var bara för två.. och det var ingen frukost att hoppa högt av. Söta muffins, äppelkaka, juice, beegel, och marmelad. Fint hotell med jättebra läge och bra service. Rekommenderar. De tog en hög deposition på kortet när vi kom som de inte informerade om och behöll i 2v - kan vara bra att veta.

"Hotell Helmsley Park Line"
Vi var här i 7 nätter på detta underbara hotell, visst det var lite till åren men underbar atmosfär rent och fint, när vi gått på alla sevärdheter på dagarna så längtade vi efter vårt hotell och dessa underbara sängar! Ulla Donald Gunnel o Mats

Bodde 6 nätter, först 3 med utsikt mot Downtown Manhattan och sedan 3 med utsikt över Central Park.Underbart läge, fantastisk utsikt, stora rum. En smula använt men inget som stör. Det gamla ärevördiga Helmsley Park lane ligger extremt bra alldles vid foten av central park och ett stenkast från 5th avenue och all shopping på manhattan. Man bor förstklassigt i hjärtat av manhattan med nära till allt. Jag bodde första gången på detta hotell 1983, då var hotellet helt nyrenoverat. "Bra Hotell vid central park"
Plus: -Bra rent och rymligt rum, med bekväm dubbel-säng. -Bra badrum , rent och fräsct. - Jättebra läge , direkt vid södra central park Minus: -luftkonditioneringen var lite ineffektiv, det blev lite för varmt i rummet. Vi brydde oss inte om att säga till och kanske man hade fixat den åt oss om vi bett om det (jag tror dock inte att man hade lyckats […] ordna detta under vår vistelse) . - Vi hade problem med låset till dörren under två dagar, och kunde inte komma in på rummet. Vi fick dock hjälp direkt och andra dagen så skickade man en service tekniker som bytte låset, när man insåg att det var det som behövdes. - vi blev felaktigt debiterade uttag ur minibaren, som vi inte använt. (Man korrigerade dock detta direkt, utan att argumentera, efter ett samtal med receptionen.) - Att USA inte lär sig att sätta i bra fönster i sina hus/Hotell: enkelglas släpper in onödigt buller (även om vi bodde på 27 våningen och fönstret vette mot en mindre gata var det ett konstant störande trafikbrus + sirener från utryckningsfordon, samt att det blir onödigt varmt när solen lyser in. hotel is clean and staff are very helpful with any query. The location is great if you want to explore on foot or use the metro. Shopping is excellant as you are at the top of 5th Avenue. Would recommend the hotel for location.
"Love the Central Park location"
We usually stay here altho the rates seem high for the shabbiness of the hotel. It's been centuries since this place was renovated. The elevators used to be very slow; that seems much better. The wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling off. The water doesn't drain during the shower. Computer system must be old. We had to call them to turn the lamps on […] and off because they were so old. We had canceled the last night before coming but they never registered that. Fortunately, I had a printed copy. For the last day we asked for an extended check-out. "Nice hotel across from Central Park"
The hotel was very nice, clean, and had a great location. The problem I had was arriving to check-in at 8:00 pm and being told that the room I reserved months in advance was not yet ready. They offered a different type of room, which would not accommodate our entire family, or to have us wait an hour and a half for the room we were supposed to have. […] They did not offer anything else to make up for their error. The room itself was quite nice, but one of the lamps flickered when left on. Internet also cost extra, which is a downside but probably common for hotels in this area. For the highly discounted nightly rate we received for this hotel, it was worth the money spent, but I would not pay the regular price to stay here again. Läs mer

Old world NYC charm in excellent hotel. WIsh they had later room service after midnight, but otherwise, comfortable, clean, spacious, convenient.

Pretty much as expected. Pool hours 10-10 not convenient to this early a.m. swimmer. Nice upgrade to junior suite (at additional reasonable charge) but other couple with same reservation got it free! (And mgr wouldn't match for us.) It came with a terrific breakfast!

Beautiful view, beautiful room. Made good use of the well-equipped business center. Loved the restaurant's huge window's overlooking CP, and the small touches as well—sweet butter served up in round pats rather than in tin wrappers.

Leona Helmsley must be rolling in her grave. This hotel is a disgrace. The rooms are dingy, old, worn out and look and feel filthy. The furniture should have been thrown out 25 years ago. The bathroom was tragically old and felt dirty. I had to change rooms 3 times to find one that was barely livable. The first room had bordello red shag carpet. Not what we expected for the nightly rate. Long lines at the front desk. Lack of phone operators to answer calls made to the hotel. Although the beds were comfortable and the furniture was in good condition we did not find the wallpaper to be clean or the tile floor in the bathroom. Disappointed at the Helmsley Park Lane. The Helmsley Park Lane was a wonderful hotel. The location directly across the street from Central Park and Columbus Circle was fantastic! My room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom and closet. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were absolutely no bed bugs!! I had the city view, I think the park side would be better, but, the city […] view was cool too and I was in NYC to explore, so I wasn't in my hotel to much anyway. Fabulous location on Central Park South. The park view was wonderful, the room extremely large (not just by NY standards) and comfortable. The decor is still attractive but in need of updating and some slight repairs. Annoyances included no coffee maker, poor television reception, and a slightly sagging mattress. We booked a room with two double beds, nonsmoking, but when we arrived, we were told that there were no nonsmoking double-bed rooms available. While the decor is a little out of date, the rooms were clean, comfortable and not at all shabby. The staff was very accomodating. I arrived very late at night and the front desk staff upgraded my room without request. I had a million dollar view of Central Park for a bargain price. Everything was clean and the bed very comfortable, but the hotel needs updating and repair. The furniture was old, electrical sockets pull out of the wall, the toilet seat was loose etc. The hotel is not 4 star. I go to NYC often but usually stay in higher priced boutique hotels. However Park Lane was better positioned and offered unparalleled central park views with the park side rooms. Hotels.com made it ridiculously inexpensive for what we received. Many thanks
Everything was fine except that the person who took my reservation over the phone volunteered that we would have a park view. I did not request it, but he volunteered. I specifically questioned him about it, and he confirmed it. I did not ask for it in writing because I had a confirmation number. "What Happened to the Park Lane?"
The ONLY thing this hotel has going is it's incredible Central Park South location. ALL other aspects of a good hotel are missing. The General Manager should be fired and replaced with someone who knows how to run a hotel. There is no excuse for allowing this once fine hotel to decay to this extent.

I found the hotel and staff very helpful and considerate. Also, This place is totally kids friendly, which was perfect since I was there alone with my 2 boys. I will definitely go back to that hotel when a similar occasion occurs. Nice executive suite (two doubles) setting with a great view. The rooms are big enough to move around in a respectable […] fashion. You hear the ambient noise... but that's the same in almost every hotel in Manhattan. Also, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the hotel for a romantic getaway... the beds are ordinary, yet sufficiently comfortable. Immediate proximity to Central Park,FAO Schwartz and 5th Ave are priceless. It is also very close, even with kids to Rockefeller Center (breakfast at Bouchon Bakery, a large upgrade compared to Starbucks and friend!!!) MoMa and Time Square. tried some great restaurants around. We stayed here because we were going to a family event nearby. The rooms are a little dated and could use refurbishment - peeling wall paper -- but over all very clean and well-sized. My only complaint was that I went Sunday morning and asked the reception desk to increase a brunch reservation that I had previously made at a restaurant. I was told it […] would be taken care of but when I went to check out of the hotel 15 minutes before the reservation I was only then told that they had been unable to get through to the restaurant.
