Vi, två pensionärer, är mycket nöjda med hotellet. Bra läge med fin utsikt över det livliga Dam torget och tillgång till flera spårvagnslinjer utanför porten. Gångavstånd till järnvägsstationen. Bra service, trevligt rum med sköna sängar. Tyvärr ingick inte frukosten i priset. 12 euro extra kan tyckas dyrt, men man fick mycket för pengarna. Super bra hotell. Allt var perfect!

Fantastiskt läge, superb personal. Blev uppgraderad till en svit pga att vi fick vänta "hela" 15 minuter på incheckninge! Fantastisk säng, superfräscht rum!

Vi är väldigt nöjda med vistelsen på Swissôtel. Hotellet ligger på ca 5 min promenadavstånd från centralstationen, vilket gjorde att vi tog tåget från och till flygplatsen. Mycket smidigt samt att biljetterna bara kostade ca 75 kr tur och retur pp. Hotellet är jättefräscht och ligger mycket bra till precis vid torget Dam. Det är nära tillgång till shoppinggatorna […] och nöjesdistriktet. :) Du har hela centrum inom promenadavstånd, men glöm inte bekväma skor. Ett minus med hotellet är att frukost inte ingår i priset (vilket det sällan gör på hotell i Europa), men vi fick "reducerat" pris och betalade runt 120 kr per person per frukost. Frukosten var över förväntan med motsvarande standard som Sverige, så frukost på hotellet rekommenderas. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Hotelläget kunde inte varit bättre för den som vill bo centralt. Gångavstånd till i princip allt, inklusive Centralstationen. Rent och snyggt. Skulle dock gärna sett frukost inkluderat i priset, för att göra det till en helt igenom prisvärd vistelse.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would like to reccommend this to others! The location is great, you are right in the middle of the everything. I took a short walk from the central station, took about 10 min. My room was wonderful, no 517, large with a high ceiling and wooden beams that made it quite unique! I'm glad I booked a premium room. The […] staff was very friendly and service-minded. I read about others commenting on hearing noises from the Dam Square outside and that part was true. Ett hotell med mkt bra läge och rymliga rum och mkt tillmötesgående personal. Den stora nackdelen var att man hörde precis allt utifrån gatan vilket ibland var lite jobbigt, särskilt som det hade framgått att rummen skulle vara ljudisolerade så man inte skulle störas.

Hotellet låg inom gångavstånd från allt vi sökte. Resturanger, spårvagn, tåg, kanaler. Hotellet var rent och snyggt. Personalen trevlig och tillmöteskommande. Vi hade tre mycket trevliga dagar i Amsterdam

Läget vid Damtorget alldeles utomordentligt centralt. Vi kunde gå till alla sevärdheter. Valde ett premiumrum för tre personer och det behövde vi inte ångra trots att det var lite dyrare. Rent och snyggt och tillräckligt stort för oss tre. Gratis flaskvatten i minibaren, bra.

Jag rekommenderar detta hotell väldigt mycket. Nära till allt och vi trivdes väldigt bra. Hotellets restaurang kunde dock varit bättre, men där finns hur mycket restauranger i närheten som är riktigt bra. Personalen var mycket hjälpsam när det visade sig att askmolnet stängt flygplatsen. Ett trevligt hotell mitt i Amsterdam. Första intrycket var inte gott men det visade sig vara ett väldigt trevligt hotell. Frukosten hoppade vi över då vi ansåg den vara dyr. Ett extra plus för ett utmärkt gym men fräscha och moderna apparater. Fritt internet med printer var också positivt. Välstädat rum och fräscht badrum. Sköna sängar

From start to finish they do an amazing job at everything. Coming back here for sure.

Despite early morning arrival, room was ready within an hour. Reception staff was great and very professional - within a day, they knew our names and greeted us throughout the stay always making sure we had everything we need. We stayed for two days, then did a side trip to Salzburg, and returned for another two days. We stored our excess luggage at […] the hotel while gone at the hotel. Location is excellent - once we figured out the tram system. From Central Station, it was easy to get a 48 hour Tram Pass (just outside the station) and catch either the 4, 9, 16 or 25 Tram to Dam Square where it stops right in front of the hotel (about only 3-4 blocks from Central Station but a decent walk nonetheless with luggage)! Business and Fitness Center on 2nd Floor were wonderful. The hotel is around the corner from Dam Square so not right on top of all the activity. The only complaint is that having booked a double room with a double bed we were given single beds pushed together.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Perfect location, walking distance to central station, Dam square and others spots. We got a good a deal for the nights without breakfast, but we had breakfast at nearby places every morning. Can really recommend the hotel and if next time we go to Amsterdam we will most likely stay at Swissotel.

Very pleasant stay. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful with booking trips, restaurant recommendations and transportation. Sonya (sorry if I've spelled the name wrong) was the best - very friendly, professional and helpful. We were also pleasantly surprised how children friendly they were (gifts and greetings to my daughter). Very easy to reach, most centrally located hotel. Its equipped with different commodities that might make your stay very pleasant. I strongly recommend this hotel and not only for business travel. Price is very good for all that offers.

The hotel offered a good room to a good price and the location was excellent for us, since we were there to look at the city centre and all of the sights. Even with a crowded street out front, out room located in the back was very quiet and we had the window open all night. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and the room was very good (Standard […] room, queen size bed). We rented bikes from the hotel and had a wonderful day trip around the outer parts of Amsterdam, the ones you never see if you just walk. There were many good restaurants around, one of which we just have to share: CAU - an Argentinian meat restaurant across the square (about 200m walk) offered one of the best meals I have ever had. excellent hotel in the heart of Amsterdam, exceptional value

It is simple. If you pay more then avarage, you expect more. The swisshotel is not that bad, free coffee on the room is actually kind of nice. But if the bathroom floor looks and is dirty and the room looks like it should cost you at least 100 Euro per night less then its clear that you are not that satisfied with you choise of accomodation. I have […] been to 79Euro per night business hotels that are way better then the swisshotels. Its not that I am the most detail oriented person (like my girlfriend who is much more dissatisfied with the hotel then I am) but it was obvious that you can not take that kind of money for this hotel. The location though is amazing but then again, Amsterdam is so small that it really does not matter much. Over all I would say, not that bad for a hotel but REALLY not worth the money!!!! Läs mer

The Swissotel in Amsterdam is ideally located near all the Central city attractions. The Centraal train station is 10 minutes away. The Flower Market is close by. You can walk to a broad range of restaurants. The hotel is clean and modern by Swiss standards with comfortable beds, superb bathrooms and large windows. The staff is professional and helpful […] and can speak any language needed to help the guest. I was able to get help with directions to a local market and restaurants. A very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable. The location was outstanding. Close to everything. One little bad point was that my room was looking out into a shop stairway where people were always looking in but didnt spend much time in the room so wasnt to bad. I would stay here again but would ask for a room with a view.

We enjoyed our stay at the Swissotel, has everything you need. Staff friendly and helpful. Very good location on Dam Square. Excessively priced internet but they have a business centre with three computers and printer which was handy. Can hear other guests coming and going and cleaners in the morning - rooms could be better soundproofed.

Great hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff. Great location. Only gripe is that there isn't an electrical outlet near the bed (I use a breathing machine to sleep). Had to move the bed across the room to plugin my machine.

Step out of hotel into the middle of everything fun and exciting. Look out your window and see the hustle and bustle of the city. Internet room stayed stocked with yummy treats. We had 2 types of apples, mixed nuts, white and dark chocolate, PLUS unlimited orange juice and water.

Great hotel to stay at! Clean and right in the middle of Dam Square, which is right in the middle of everything! The junior suite i got was amazing, huge room and completely comfortable, exactly what i needed to end my wonderful stay in Amsterdam. The staff was freidnly and the connecting restuarant was great at delivering room service fast and tasty! […] I would defintiel;y stay here again and probably get the same room, that room was just so nice, they have pillow serive too, which i fell in love with, their support pillows are great, i need to go buy me one! The shower was perfect, adjustable height of the shower head and it wasnt a fixed one so it was great when i washed my long hair, i could use it handheld! The water pressure was also nice and hot water stayed hot the whole time, and i take long showeres. Läs mer

The hotel is in a very noisy neighborhood with street musicians with amplifiers playing outside the windows until 2 or 3 in the morning. the expensive internet systme only allows one isp address so you can not use your computer and your iphone - a truly stupid system that limits the hotel as a business hotel. very dissappinting.

The hotel staff where very friendly and polite, room was comfortable but on the very small side, no where to unpack the case and store clothes or the suitcases. The in house safe was locked by a previous occupier and only the Manager could reset but he was obviously very busy and we had to wait a few hrs for it to be reset. Other than that, the room […] was clean and comfortable with lots of little touches that made you feel welcome - bottles of water and mints left on bedside cabinets, little essentials like nail files etc left in the bathroom. Great hotel, great location. I would stay again. The only down side was the noise from the workmen below. So if your about to go make sure your not on the first floor at the back of the hotel.

I consider myself as a traveller who has travelled extensively and the staff of Swissôtel Amsterdam is one of the best I ever met. Location is excellent. The room was big and confortable, airconditioned with a city street view. We got two free bottles of water every day (except Sat) and we got a Bowl of Fruits from the general manager at the first night […] and a welcome letter. I liked it. The room can hear the street at night but there were no cars it was only voice of people, but no impact if you are tired after a long day. Is still the first choice next time Läs mer

Excellent location right next to the palace in Dam Square and within walking distance of shops and central station. The hotel was under remodeling and the decor of the interior hallways spaces were a bit dated, but otherwise the rooms were clean and updated and the service was good. If you can get a good rate on the room, this place is a good place […] to stay. Right in the heart of the action, so don't stay there if you're looking for peace and quiet. Läs mer

location of the hotel is very central on the main happening street,very good rooms with terrace,cleanness and hospitality of the hotel staff.very near to the central station,shopping streets and the places must to visit.

My fifth trip to Amsterdam and I've stayed in a different hotel each time. Without a doubt this was my favourite hotel by far. Perfectly located with extremely helpful and friendly staff I can't recommend this place enough. A bit more expensive than most hotels but worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Nice hotel, and close to everything. Breakfast service could be improved, but who really goes to Amsterdam for breakfast?

We recently stayed 5 nights at the Swissotel in Amsterdam. We really loved it. The rooms were very modern, clean, comfortable, well equipped and on the large side. Even by American standards they were fair sized. The staff at the front desk was continually cheerful and helpful, they were a real plus. Breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. The […] exercise room had good equipment for a hotel, I was able to do a surprisingly large part of my normal gym routine. And the price was very reasonable. At the time, they were renovating the public areas, so part of it looked like a work in progress. Perhaps they lowered the rates a bit for that, altho it really didn't affect anything. The location is worth mentioning. It's right at Dam Square. This means it's very conveniently located and you have immediate access to the square and everything around it. It also means that it's pretty young, crowded, and back-packer oriented. The energy around it is pretty positive and happy, not threatening in any way, but if you're looking for a genteel or upscale environment, it's not that. Think of Times Square in NY. Läs mer

This hotel is VERY expensive indeed. For the money I paid I expected a LOT more for my money. The room was very basic indeed. And to top the high price the mini-bar wasn't inclusive of the price of the room, £3 for a can of coke!. Can't fault the location, right in Dam Square ideal starting point for visiting Amsterdam.

The hotel was right in the heart of the city. Aside from some minor cosmetic things due to remodeling, it was very clean and nice. The room was small, but very comfortable and had all the necessary conveniences. The pillow menu was a nice touch. Would stay there next time I go to Amsterdam if possible.

The hotel offers a terrific location right on Dam Square with lots of action right at hand. Restaurants, bars and shopping abound in the area. The service is excellent and the executive rooms are nice even if gkod Internet access ios pricey. Stay away from the exorbitantly priced laundry service.
