Riktigt fint hotell med bra service. Vi kom dit direkt från Waikiki och stannade på hotellet fyra nätter - vilken skön anvkopplande föändring det blev! Starkt rekommenderat.

The hotel is the perfect location for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The free shuttle to and from the airport was a big convenience and they will even take you to the airport to go pick up a rental car if you decide not to rent from the on-site Enterprise location. You really won't need a car, although there are tons of great things to see […] and do around the island. The beach out front is perfect for kids or those who just want to splash around, and there are several great restaurants within walking distance. One of my favorite hotels/resorts. The pool is next to the beach. Beautiful place, yet quiet. Koi pond and all natural beauty. I will definitely come back for sure.

The Marriott is a nice hotel located near to the airport (but you do not hear any planes). The pool is very nice as is the beach. Overall I really liked this hotel but following my stay there I moved on to the Hyatt which I have to say is the better of the two. Location wise the Marriott is great for a base as the north shore is well worth visiting […] and it is closer from the Marriott than from the Hyatt. Läs mer

Everything and Everyone was nice. My only concern was the $24.99 charge for some kind of resort package which I never asked for and never used, but was charged for. It was added to the welcome package without telling me there was an additional charge for it.

Not too quiet, not too crowded. A perfect resort for families or couples. We also rented a car on site for enterprise and explored the island. Dukes is a good dinner place and there is an ABC store just off to the side of the resort for drinks and snacks. Located in a larger resort setting which includes a golf course and residential development, the grounds of the entire complex are stunning. Add to this the beautiful bay on which the hotel sits with a well protected bay, and the setting is great. We wanted to visit both the Na Pali coast in the north and the Waimea Canyon in the south so his centrally […] located resort served us well. Excellent hotel. One of the best we've been to. The room was excellent and comfortable. Staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Resort facility were brilliant. Location is very close to the airport ao you wont have to rush for your plane. We would definately recommend this hotel to any travellers.

Beautiful very well kept hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful always ready to give directions to anywhere on the island. The hotel concierge, Toshiko, was very helpful. Kukui's at pool side is a great place to eat breakfast, if you are willing to pay the price. The hostess, Gina was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu. Duke's is just […] down the walkway and a great place to go for dinner. For dessert order the Hula pie, you won't be sorry. Be sure you make reservations. We chose to stay here for our first night on Kauai and it was perfect. The quality definitely matches the price. Highly recommend. Great place to relax and get away from it all. The one downfall would be that you get too comfortable at the resort and miss out on all that Kauai has to offer.

In spite of the push to upgrade, we stuck with the economy standard no view -- and were quite pleased with the lovely view of grass and trees. Very comfortable, resort is lovely, location excellent.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The pool was great. The beach was lovely. Dukes restaurant (on the grounds ) was really good. The Italian restaurant was snooty, and the food wasn't very good. Service was slow and bad. My only complaint about the hotel is the rooms were far from the lobby and the restaurants (a 15 min . walk). Also, when we pulled […] up to the hotel and was greeted by the parking people. They told us there was a fee for parking and valet When we checked in (registration is far from where you pull up to the hotel), they told us parking is included in your resort fee. Just didn't find the wow in it, beautiful views, pool was amazing. Think the wow was just lacking staff wise. Above and beyond is missing.

Everyone was a delight, nothing was to much trouble. The continental breakfast was excellent overlooking the pool area. Lots of water sport activities maybe a little expensive. Excellent pool side service. We enjoyed eating at Dukes upstairs was a better menu and the grilled fish is a recommendation. It would take a lot to beat this hotel.

This was a great hotel. Initially scary as you take an escalator down to the lobby but then appears just like on the website. Had a great isolated beach.

This hotel is like a lovely person on the outside who is a disappointment on the inside. First the good points - The hotel has an exquisite art collection. The gardens and grounds are immaculate. The pool is very nice and the centerpiece of the hotel. The restaurants we tried (Kuiko's, Kalipaki, Portofino) were all excellent. All of the servers we […] encountered were terrific. Now the issues. The beds are torture devices. So soft and squishy you sink towards the floor when you sit down. The pool boasts 5 hot tubs. These are great BUT there is NO ONE enforcing any rules. So they are all full of kids all the time. Note for travelers or those who have problems getting around: This is not the place for you. I injured my back in Hawaii alas and was using a cane. The hotel is very spread out . Imagine a cruise ship butterflied. then imagine walking it. There are few elevators and an access ramp only on one side of the pool area - so you have to walk all the way around the pool (which is far) or take 25 stone steps to get to lobby and bar area. The staff is apologetic and you get the impression they hear about this a lot. WORST OF ALL. There is no room service between 11am-5pm. And no soda machines on the floors - just ice machines which are as loud as a small jet. The sundries shop is a mile away in the lobby area. The bar is CLOSED - it is open open in the morning for coffee and then again at 5pm. Very odd. Läs mer

Family of four (2 teenagers), spent our Christmas holiday at the Kauai Marriott resort. Lovely. The beach was perfect for playing on the boogie board. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. The kiddie pool wasn't something we needed, but it looked nice and the kids that were there seemed to enjoy it. The food in the restaurant is good. Prices are […] a bit high, we spent about $100/meal, however, portions are big, I would recommend sharing (although there is a charge for that). Real negative was food service. Hotel Restaurant was over priced for the food and service provided. It was embarassing that Duke's which rents space in the building, had better pricing and food than the hotels own restaurant. We loved all of the natural beauty surrounding the hotel (the flowers, trees). The kids really enjoyed the pool which is a very good sized pool. Our room had an extraordinary view from the balcony where you could see the pool and ocean. The beach at the hotel is very nice with one of the calmest waters in the area which is ideal for children.

The restaurant on the property is incredibly expensive - avoid it as much as possible. Plus, they add an 18% gratuity even for groups of 4 people automatically. Also, the pool towel boy is very rude / racist. He gave me a lecture about taking only 2 towels per card (I had 2 cards and asked for 4 towels, so not beyond the limit) while giving other people […] as many towels as they wanted without asking for any cards. My husband and I went here on our honeymoon over Christmas. What a find! I literally almost cried when we walked into the hotel for the first time. Starting with a beautiful tree-lined drive, free parking, and ending with a fantastic view from the room. There is an incredible koi fish pond that is fun even for grown-ups to look at. The human swimming […] pool itself is AMAZING! Donut-shaped, with real palm trees and chairs in the middle island, and spraying fountains. There were several hot tubs around the perimeter of the pool (watch out for the middle one - the only reason it's always empty is because you have to get back in the pool in order to get out! Brrrr!) which was nearly always empty despite being peak travel season. The whole resort environment was really relaxed. The in-house restaurant had great food, highly recommend their Christmas buffet, and the nearby Duke's restaurant was also delicious! Try ordering La Piña and drinking out of a whole carved out pineapple! The staff service was phenomenal. My only complaint here was that they did not respect the rule that "hanging towels means do not replace." I try to be a serious environmentalist, so this irked me some...but hey, if an excess of clean towels is my biggest complaint, then you can tell what kind of place this was. The rooms themselves were comfortable and well-maintained, with coffee pot, refrigerator, and awesome pillows. I could go on about this place. If I ever go back to Kauai, I would love to stay here. We recently stayed here just a few days before Christmas and I must say what a beautiful resort. For starters, the pool view we booked was sold out so they upgraded us to an ocean front at no charge. Kalapaki beach is no special gem but it was really nice. The waves kept coming in, not big but consistent. It is a great place for beginning surfing or […] boogie boarding. The pool is gorgeous but a bit chilly. The front desk said that the heating pump went out but they were in the middle of fixing it. My 1 little ones stayed in the kiddie pool with the slide. They have 5 hot tubs all different temps so you can fin just the right one. Breakfast buffet was really nice. Omelettes made to order fresh fruit juices and lots o other fresh food. There was even a dessert bar with fresh tropical cakes. Right next door is Dukes restaurant. Fantastic place to dine. Every entree comes with a salad bar. Fresh Cesar fruit and about 30 other things. I highly recommend this resort. Such a beautiful place to spend some quiet relaxing time. Läs mer

Great location! Quick drive from the airport via shuttle provided by the hotel. Beautiful grounds. Pool is very nice, spacious and kid friendly. Beach is peaceful with plenty of chairs and gorgeous views. Restaurants on site are very good. We ate at Duke's for dinner. Reserve a table and you're seated immediately at the best tables.

1. Additional charge for self parking & internet are mandatory (even if you don't park and use internet) - so add that to the room price you are quoted. 2. Pools were supposed to be heated but they weren't. When we inquired, they said there is a missing part - and it wasn't fixed during the 4 days of our stay. 3. We were overwhelmed with everything - our first trip to Hawaii. Two of our daughters and their partners also joined us and they kept us busy with sightseeing, helicopter ride, several dinners in and out of he Hotel. This was our first trip with a baby (4 month old). Location was convenient ie short drive from airport, walk onto the beach, great pool etc. Food options were limited and subpar quality. However, service at the restaurants were quick and friendly. Can't say the same for the front desk. At check-in they did not tell us about the resort fee (which I knew […] about from reading online) or what it included (we didn't find out until near the end of our stay when I looked it up). We asked for late check out as we had a red eye flight with a baby. We were told to make the request the day of check out. When we asked again 2 days before we were to check out, we were told there was a "waitlist" - well this meant we were near the bottom of it now! My husband was quite adamant that they move us up on the list given that we had a small baby and that we had asked at the beginning of our stay. At the end, we were able to stay in our room till 6pm (for an extra $75). As others have mentioned, the layout of the hotel is very odd, especially the entrance. We rented a car on site and the lady that we booked from was rude and rushed. Once you walk off the hotel grounds, Lihue is not that nice nor are there any nice shops around, just a dingy mall with run down restaurants. There is also a nice golf course on the grounds that my husband enjoyed. Overall the Marriott is a always a safe bet to stay at, we really enjoyed the hotel, just not the attitude of some of the staff. Läs mer

The hotel was great, especially if you have little ones. My son loved the slide at the kiddie pool and the hotels beach is protected from the big waves that seemed to be everywhere around the island when we were there. My daughter and I started a new tradition for Thanksgiving. This was our first holiday in Kauai. The Marriott is wonderful. The front staff valets were friendly. We took an early morning flight and arrived well before check in but our room was ready which is a fantastic courtesy for the tired traveler with a child. We had been to Oahu before at a cheaper […] hotel thinking that since we would be outdoors most of the time, lodging was not a top priority. At the Marriott, you get it all...comfort, amenities, convenient access to the pool and beach and serenity. We wandered around the area but stayed mainly on the property. It is a relaxing and fun place without crowds, traffic and noise. This was a great trip and my daughter is already asking when we can return. I recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely return. Recommendation - the bus is a great alternative to driving. Läs mer
