Rekommenderas. Stort, snabbt och ligger mycket bra till. Från SFO tar du BART till Civic Center. Kliver av och går 10 meter till hotellentrén. Till US är det gångavstånd eller bara 2 dollar på spårvagnen.

Riktigt charmigt hotell. Personalen var mycket trevliga och tillmötesgående. Bra bar och restaurang. Lätt att gå downtown men svårare att gå tillbaka då hotellet ligger på en höjd men bussen stannar precis utanför dörren.

Superbra läge om du är ute efter att shoppa och se de typiska sevärdheterna. Nära till allt samt lokaltrafik. Hotellet ligger mitt i smeten verkligen. Eftersom det ligger mitt i city så är huset inträngt mellan andra vilket gör att utsikten är mot grannhuset. Ingen utsikt alltså. Inget vi led av på något sätt. Rummet var väldigt litet, verkligen litet inte mycket mer än sängen fick plats inget vi led av men kan vara bra att veta. Men städat fint och hade det som behövdes. Frukosten var simpel men helt okej, ovanligt att hitta hotell med frukost inkluderat i Kalifornien, så det var ett plus hur som helst. Otroligt bra hotell för att bara vara två stjärnigt. Rekomenderas!

Ett litet och enkelt hotell där en enklare frukost ingår,men som man får äta på rummet då det saknas matsal. Även fri parkering och internet ingår i priset vilket är bra då parkering i SF är rätt dyrt. Rummet var rent men toa var väldigt liten och det är ganska lyhört vilket märktes mest på helgen. Det tar ca. 20 min till Fishermans Wharf och då kan man även gå förbi den krokiga delen av Lombard Street.
Läge.
King George Hotel - Union Square ligger i hjärtat av San Francisco på gångavstånd till American Conservatory Theater, Union Square och Westfield San Francisco Center Shopping Mall. I närheten finns även Universitetes konstakademi och San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Stora märkesbutiker ligger tätt kring Union Square bland små butiker som säljer västkust-design. Chinatown börjar vid Grant Avenue och Bush Street. I Nob Hill finns egendomar som härstammar från guldrushens dagar. Söder om Union Square ligger mässområdet och här finns bland annat San Francisco Museum of Modern Art och Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Spårvagnarna går runt både Powell Street och Market street och sedan tillbaka till Fishermans Wharf.
Visa alla hotell i San FranciscoLångsamt wifi, trevlig personal, nära shopping och frukostställen, de flesta kommunikationerna fanns inom några minuters promenad. Gammal stil, små rum, rent och städat.

Hotellet var personligt och mysigt. Inte modernt och kanske inte superfräscht men rent. Synd att det inte fanns frukost. Trevlig bar.

Vi är mycket nöjda med hotellets läge. Otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rummet var litet men helt ok. Det enda vi kan "klaga på" är att det bara finns 1 liten hiss och den går inte fort. Men om man inte har bråttom så är det inga problem

Bra läge i stan, värt pengarna vi betalade. Minus var att man hörde grannarna prata och folk i korridoren prata lite tydligare än vanligt.

Vi bodde två nätter på detta hotell då vi turistade i SF. Perfekt läge centralt och med gångavstånd till det mesta. Litet rum utan luftkonditionering, men det funkade bra ändå. Enda svagheten är att det endast finns en hiss, vilket gör att man får vänta länge ibland.

Ligger på kanten mellan tenderloin och union square, så det finns gott om hemlösa, men området känns inte osäkert (rekommenderar dock inte att man promenerar ensam västerut längs ofarrell eller sidogatorna efter mörkets inbrott.) Flera mathak i närheten, åt mest på Chipotle och Lori's Diner, båda helt ok. En rätt lång, men trevlig promenad är att gå […] öster längs o'farrell och sen vidare mot chinatown och genom det till fisherman's wharf (istället för att vänta en timme på att få ta en cable car.) Är dock värt att vänta i den kön en gång och ta cable car till fisherman's wharfsjälv hängde jag på utsidan med kameran i ena handen och ett mycket fast grepp i en stolpe med andra handen. Läs mer

"King George Hotel SF - smart alternativ"
Hade en trevlig veckas vistelse på KIng George vid en konferens i San Fransisco. Konferensen pågick på närliggande Westin - stort, mörkt, opersonligt och dyrt. Rummen på King George är små, liksom badrummen, men trevliga och allt finns som man behöver. Gratis internet access överallt ingår liksom tillgång till datorer och printer i receptionen. Där […] sitter också en trevlig man och hjälper med turistattraktioner. Kaffe och te gratis reception, enda nackdel är en vidrig muzak i bakgrunden. "King George mitt i smeten"
Bra hotell med trevlig och hjälpsam personal. De har valet parkering för de som vill, finns även ett parkeringshus tvärs över gatan. Det är ett äldre hotell så lite skavanker har det men känslan i hotellet är då också större och jättemysig. Det är rätt lyhört så för de som är känsliga för ljud är det inte att rekommendera.

Fri WiFi på hotellet är mycket bra. Datorer finns även nere i lobbyn och det är gratis att skriva ut. Hotellrummet var rent men lite trångt. Nackdelen är att det fönster som finns på toaletten inte är något riktigt fönster utan enbart en slags glaspersienn. Detta gör att det kan bli väldigt kallt på natten i rummet. Stäng därför toalettdörren på natten […] :-). Läget är annars mycket bra! Du kan snabbt ta dig till fots till Down Town eller åka Cable Cars till Fishermans Warf. Också mycket nära BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) en federal tunnelbana så att du på ca 40 min tar dig till flygplatsen (SFO). Läs mer
"Standardhotell med taktiskt läge vid Union Square"
Helt ok för pengarna, men räkna med dragiga rum och hög ljudnivå från gatan. Pyjamas rekommenderas året runt då SF är kallt året runt! Obs! Om du har bil så tillkommer kostnad för Valet parking (rekommenderas) med ca 30 dollar per dag.

Mysigt litet hotell jättenära Union Square. Personalen ansträngde sig verkligen för att svara på alla frågor vi hade. Rummet var ganska litet, men trevligt. Dock ingen frukost och jättedyr internetuppkoppling i receptionen.

Very close to Union Square, activities and shopping. Many restaurants nearby, from fast food to sit-down. While the rooms can be small, they're very comfortable, clean and well maintained for an older property. Parking rates are comparable to nearby hotels. "Good hotel in good location."
We stopped at the King George for one night and it was absolutely fine. One of the cheaper hotels in this area, the staff were very helpful, there was free Internet and access to a printer, the room was nicely decorated and of a good size, and there is lots nearby. Would stay again.

This place has great SF character. The staff was amazing, the location is in the heart of shopping in Union Square. We had an easy walk down to Fisherman's Wharf and took a taxi back. Well worth it and I WILL stay there again.
It was as expected...older hotel, with small rooms, but clean enough for me to stay there again for the price...

very pleased with a night at the King George ... a short walk from Powell St Bart and a great location for a short stay in San Francisco. Rather than breakfast at Lori's Diner try the place over the road on the corner of the street for a change, either are good, but the latter was great.

"We Really Enjoyed The Hotel!!"
The hotel was very clean, our room looked freshly painted and well maintained. The room are smallish but we had no issue with that since we spent most of our time elsewhere.The staff was very accommodating, they brought a cot for our daughter to stay with us a night since she lives near by. Also provided us with a small refrigerator too. The location […] is good, near the BART, Union Square, bus stops, restaurants, China Town, need I say more? The price was very fair for SF I think. "Location is great"
Although the room is small, this is a great location for a last min. get away and explore San Francisco. The location is close to Powell Bart rail system, Union square, and various Bus lines. I recommend this hotel for those who are planning a 2 day adventure in the city.

The hotel is very close to Union Square and the cable cars that run down Powell. I could even hear the cable car bells from my room from time to time. The staff was attentive and helpful. They were even kind when I stumbled down stairs and asked them to point me toward the nearest Starbucks. The room was small and not fancy - but it was comfortable […] and clean. I have stayed at the King George before so I am a repeat visitor. It is so convenient to Union Sqaure, the Bart, and everything I want to do in San Francisco. I had some challenges with my arriving flight and the concierge service made sure that my room would be ready for me when I finally arrived. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly. "St Paticks Day"
I had two nights and three days for . Fair value for the room BUT the union at one of the neighboring hotels were on strike and were loud and I asked to be moved. The Hotel staff at King George Hotel accomodated quickly and I was moved to the opposite side of the hotel where it was nice and peaceful. "A bit shabby"
I would guess there are many tourists who would find this old building charming, but it mostly just reminds me of the old badly-maintained rotting building I lived in when I had an apartment in San Francisco. It's cleanliness objectively fits the star rating, but there's just something about it that makes it feel a little more shabby. The doors don't […] quite make a seal, you can hear just a bit too much of the neighbor's rumblings, and the bedding just isn't comfort-inspiring. The free wifi is usable for looking up addresses, but don't expect to get any work done (and definitely don't expect to make a skype call). The neighborhood is half Tenderloin, half Euro backpacker. (Though very convenient if, like me, you really like Thai food. It's abundant.) The shower puts out consistently hot water, which is lovely. The complimentary ring of soap is impossibly clever. But these are the highlights. If it's your first time to SF, stay somewhere nicer, so you don't get too bad of an idea about the place. Or, for the price, just stay at the hostel next door. You'll have a lot more fun and you won't have to suffer through Sir Churchill staring you down as you wait for the elevator. Läs mer

1 svar från King George Hotel - Union SquarePeeling paint. Lights did not work. Room was dirty and full of odors. One small slow elevator accommodated a 9 story hotel. Parking was $33 per day. Hotel was dated and had not been refurbished in decades.

Great location. Old and ugly hotel/rooms. I guess it is clean, not even sure. It just looks so horrible. Notes: - I could clearly hear the neighbours talking - I had to call three times to get their old heating system working and I was still cold... Appart from the location, nothing good in this hotel.

Having the floors refinished in your home is a daunting task, as you have to move out, even if it is in your city. We picked the King George because of the location, price and the history. The public bus system is excellent in San Francisco and on one of our forays to North Beach and back, the bus stopped 1 block from the hotel. "Good Location but very noisy"
we stayed here for 1 night. We booked this hotel as we wanted to be close to Union Square. The room was ok but we could barely sleep at night because the walls very VERY thin and we could clearly hear people in the adjacent rooms. It was quite noisy. The staff is not very friendly either. Overall disappointed with our stay.

Our room was small but clean. The pay movies offered were not available due to some undefined technical issue, so no late night entertainment. We ordered breakfast the following day in our room and it never arrived. When we inquired, we found out that they did not know which room had ordered the breakfast. The bed was comfortable, room was cozy but however, the heater is not functioning and no non-smoking room available as there was a convention on going during the week I was there. Walking distance to shopping areas at union sq and market st.

My only gripe about this place is that they advertise that the rooms have "candy jars", which sounds really fun and like an unique amenity. However, when we got to the room, there was just a jar full of mints. Perhaps that is nitpicky, but I don't really think of mints when I hear "candy jar".

This hotel is convenient to Union Square, very clean, nice staff and serviceable rooms with free Internet. But my room next to the elevator overlooking busy Mason street was extremely noisy and sleep was nearly impossible.
Kind of an old style hotel, located very close to most of the attractions in SF. Stayed there for 3 days. The rooms are clean and the hotel employees are very helpful. Has free WiFi. It was very cold & rainy. The heating radiator in the room did not work our last night we were furnished with a space heater. The staff were excellent.
