Ett av dom trevligaste och bästa hotell jag bott på, längtar tillbaka

Ligger mittemot järnvägsstationen med flygbussarna. Mycket bra klass på hotellet. Lite tråkigt närområde (som det kan vara runt järnvägsstationer), men bara någon km från de historiska sevärdheterna.

Helt OK hotell, snygg design, vänlig service

Bästa läge, trevligt hotell, utmärkt service, mycket trevligt rum, allt fungerade perfekt

I was pleasantly surprised by this lovely hotel. I stayed for one night for business and was able to access WiFi in looby area. Breakfast was nice in a large room. I stayed at the Starhotels Excelsior this last weekend with a friend for a quick two-day trip to Bologna and Ravenna. The location could seriously not be better for the train station, you can literally see it from the doors of the train station. Unlike many hotels in Italy, it's not at all hard to find. We arrived quite early during the day, around […] 9am, but they still let us check in without a problem. The rooms are spacious and extremely well-furnished. I've become used to rather worn hotels/B&B's in Italy and was happy to find myself in a hotel more reminiscent of the USA or England. Everything worked and was clean - which is often not guaranteed in Italian hotels. All of the people we interacted with were more than kind and helpful. Livio at the front desk directed us to a lovely pizzeria called the Rotunda after we asked for his recommendation - it was wonderful. Probably the best pizza I've had in Italy, good wine, and great prices. The included breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. Most hotel breakfasts in Italy are composed of a cafe, a croissant, and maybe some juice if you're lucky. At this hotel there is an enormous spread with just about every breakfast item you could want - including eggs and bacon. We were in heaven. I was a presenter at the Bologna children's book fair taking place every March. The hotel is situated just outside the train and central bus station, very convenient to anyone who arrives late at night. The room and the hotel were just fine. The staff very helpful, especially a person by the name of Luka who made a few local phonecals for me. Can't […] understand why there isn't a descent Internet connection in the public places and why a cab should take over 15 minutes to arrive. They tried to charge an extra 30 euros to upgrade our room to fit in the babies cot-even though Hotels.com had phoned the hotel on my behalf and booked one. When my daughter told them in Italian that we would phone Hotels.com they backed down. The reception person was not pleasant at all.

This hotel is conveniently located opposite the train station, but a bit of a trek to the Piazza Maggiore and the central area of Bologna. The building is modern and clean, but is sadly one of the few buildings in the city to be completely devoid of any character whatsoever. The rooms are fine, a little small, but a decent amount of storage space and […] the bathrooms have a very good shower, but no bath. Breakfast is served in the basement level restaurant, and I would say it is well below average for a four star. The hot offerings are some very thin bacon, hard boiled eggs and an intensely yellow tray of scrambled egg. It was very uninspiring. There are a few cereals, yoghurts - some of which were out of date, croissants and a couple of cakes, plus a collection of tinned fruits. The bedrooms are equipped with a small safe which I would highly recommend not using as I had a significant amount of cash go missing from mine. We had a lot of bags and the hotell offered us a free upgrade (without we asked for it) so we could have room for everything. The staff was really friendly and helped us with anything we wanted. The breakfast was nice but small, they didn't have any salad, tomat or cucumber at all but they did a plate for us when we asked for it. Friendly hotel staff, comfortable room, nice breakfast selection and located opposite train statioin which was handy for exploring Bologna.

You can't beat the location right across the street from the train station, so it is a perfect option for a stopover between Florence and Venice. It isn't cheap, but it is extermely clean and modern, and much roomier than expected. The bathroom is much larger than you find in the typical Italian hotel, with full bath tub and television. And the complimentary […] breakfast is also far superior to budget options. Free wireless Internet in the lobby is ideal for cheking in via laptop or smart phone. Lovely hotel. We were given an upgrade to a suite which was amazing. Hotel located across the road from the railway station and only a short walk from the centre. Very quiet despite the location and AC worked wonderfully. Staff pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good. Bar prices were inflated. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall it was hard to fault this hotel. The staff on the front desk were very helpful, the public areas in the hotel are smart, and the bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel is very convenient for the main station and only just over 10 minutes' walk from the main square in Bologna. The only adverse comment I'd make […] is that there were some loose wires from the sockets in my room and one of the light fittings was dicky. Very good hotel a stone's throw from the train station and only a ten-minute walk from the centre of town. Reasonably sized bedroom with excellent beds and a particularly nice bathroom. Nothing else is great about this hotel, but if you neeed to stay right in front of the train station this is the one!

my husband and i stayed here over a weekend trip to bologna. location was ideal to get to/from airport and into the city center. good breakfast, modern decor, clean and stylish rooms & helpful staff. would definitely go back!

This hotel did what a hotel should do best: Provide a stress-free travel experience. Everything just, well, worked perfectly. The front desk staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful at every turn. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, with one of the biggest bathrooms we've seen in Italy. The bed really comfortable. I expected the sound to be a problem, since we faced the train station, but two sets of double-glazed windows meant we heard nothing from outside. For train travelers, the location is perfect -- really, directly across the street. For others, maybe not so great; there are certainly more attractive streets. Got a good deal on the internet. Was over for a wedding so me and my mate got a twin bed room and was only charged for the room, not per person so very very reasonable. Top quality for the price. So much better in every way than the other hotel next door which is supposed to be of similar standard(stayed one night there). Great breakfast! So handy. […] Across from Central train station. Comfortable hotel, very friendly and responsive staff. We chose it because it is right across from the train station, but it's also only a short walk to the center of the city. There was a hot water problem which the hotel addressed as soon as we pointed it out. Rooms were well-appointed.

Right across from the train station so very convenient, especially if travelling to other places by train. Aerobus from airport takes you to the train station for 5 euros. Very nice & clean and would definitely stay there again if the price is right at the time of travel.

Hotel is a short walk to train... Not a particularly freindly Staff, very very small room, very small and tight, I suspect because I prepaid for the room. No ice available unless you wait for the room service person. Very good breakfast included.

We chose this hotel from 2 because the other hotel had a review that cautioned that the AC was poor. Unfortunately, the AC in this hotel room was EXTREMELY poor. It was so hot in the room that we couldn't wait to get outside in the heat where there might be a breeze! We also found the staff somewhat attitudinal.

Great location, close to the train station and with a great walk to the piazza. Very clean and kind of mod hotel with great views and wonderful amenities and good breakfast! A perfect stay for those coming to Bologna by train.

Good service in general, very clean room, good breakfast. However one is asked to sign a form to state that passport details are to be kept and passed onto their hotel chain, otherwise cannot stay at hotel...Not exactly optional then.

Being in transfer from abroat to Bologna Airport, and to another city, this hotel is perfect. Very close to railway station and airport buses. And the hotel is efficient, modern and with very nice staff. Very nice with high quality breakfast Perfect for my travel needs.

The hotel is located right opposite the station which makes it ideal to travel from the airport (via the aerobus) and for day trips out to other cities. The lobby was very modern so the entrance was very nice. Only thing about the rooms is that the chairs were very uncomfortable. The restaurants in the hotel were too expensive however this was not an issue as there were plenty of restaurant even within 5 minutes walking distance. The biggest downfall was their breakfast. There really was not much to eat, and even more so restricted if you are a vegetarian. The menu was exactly the same every day! 駅が目の前なので、移動に便利です。 無料Wi-Fiがロビーでしか使えないのが大変不便でした。

Lage direkt am Bahnhof. Das Zimmer war kofortabel und geräumig, tadellos sauber, die Nasszelle sehr praktisch. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig. Ich habe am Hotel nichts auszusetzen. Als kleiner Mangel könnte genannt werden, dass das Internet nur in der Lobby/Bar kostenlos ist.

室内は清潔に整っていたが、ベッドの幅が若干狭い。換気がもう少しよいと良かった。部屋臭にはじめはなかなかなじめなかった。

感じの良いホテルです。駅の前、歩いても２分で到着、至極便利。市の中心までは１５分ほど歩きますが、イタリアの街はどこでもそうであるように街歩きそのものが楽しめます。　ただし、物乞いはいます。これも同じく絶対スキを見せないこと。　部屋は広く清潔で快適。静かで空調も完璧。何よりもありがたいのは、電気ポットが備えられており、部屋でゆっくり、カプチーノや紅茶を楽しめます。街のカフェも良いのですが、日本人としては時には自分たちだけでくつろぎの時間を持ちたくなります。ローマやフィレンツェでは四つ星でも電気ポットは見かけなかったので、余計ありがたかった。フロントでwashing（洗濯）したいのでcoin　laundry（コインランドリー）を教えてほしいといったら、cashingとcoinと関係すると誤解して […] か、銀行への道順を教えられ１時間ほど歩き回ったのも、笑える思い出です。再度確認して、歩いて２５分のところにあるコインランドリーを教えてもらい、無事洗濯は済ませました。 Läs mer

Hotellet ligger perfekt i gå afstand til det turist atraktionerne. Utrolig flot foyer med bar, og personalet var meget venlige. Værelserne kunne godt trænge til en opfriskning, vi havde bestilt Deluxe room

Hôtel très bien situé, face à la gare et à 5 minutes de la Piazza Maggiore. Moderne, accueil très correct. Par contre, chambres assez petites pour un 4 étoiles et décoration assez ancienne mais très propre et très confortable. Autre petit bémol: la température des chambres: malgré plusieurs tentatives pour régler le chauffage, il faisait une chaleur […] incroyable dans notre chambre. Petit déjeuner servi à partir de 7h jusqu'à 10h, très copieux, grand choix en sucré et salé. En résumé, nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Läs mer

bon situation, proche de la gare et des arrets de bus, pratique pour circuler. A quelques pas du centre pour se restaurer et même faire du shopping. Bien que sur une grande avenue, aucun bruit de la route perceptible. Dommage que le wifi soit payant.
