Första rummet vi fick var riktigt dåligt, fläkten va lös och rummet var allmänt ofräscht, vi gick till receptionen och sa att rummet inte vad som vi trodde och kunde tänka oss betala mer för ett bättre rum. Han uppgraderade oss till ett mycket fräschare rum gratis! Bra service där! Bra budgethotell men välj rummen som ligger ovanpå lobbyn dom andra va ofräscha, i alla fall det vi fick. Bra läge 3 min promenad till stranden. Nära till allt.

Vi är jättenöjda med hotellet på alla sätt. Detta var vår bästa semester någonsin. Fin personal, vi kände oss välmottagna och omhändertagna. Hade en "hotellig" hemkänsla. Hotellet ligger vid stranden, bara med en snygg staket mellan. Poolen är också fin och ren. Baren&restaurangen i det fria är riktigt trevlig, oceanen brusar behagligt i bakgrunden. Underbar strandpromenad från hotellet till Cabarete fog ca. 30 minuten. Härligt! Vi fick fina tips från hotellmanagern om sevärdheter och tjänster. Vi kände oss trygga med den information som vi fick. Vi vill mycket gärna komma tillbaka till Barefoot Beach Pad. Härligt att det blev så lyckat!!

Don't usually write reviews so I'm going to keep it as short as I can. Don't go to this hotel. Or better yet stay away from Puerto Plata in general. I went to this resort 10 years ago and thought I was stay completely different place. Punta Cana is better for fun/tourism/ and professional staff. Not staff that hangs around all day and drinks juice from […] where the states are supposed to be getting their drinks and staff /locals that now harass u to buy things and won't giveyou a second to actually relax....No shows no entertainment......I actually made reservations for a free a la carte restaurant. they took down my info and everything which took a while. Tragical, horrible, there was no water for shower in the hotel after a hot day at the beach, and we had to check out without showering.the staff are always complaining between them of the workload and low pay. "Bad Experience"
When we arrived we were given a third floor room (we reserved a second floor room), We stayed for twenty three days. The room had two towels and one hand towel, One time in the restaurant they were out of butter another time they were out of ice and the best was when the special of the night was taco's but they were out of taco shells. The food in this place was horrible, you could smell the bad odor and could tell the food was being reused!!! The food was not fresh or tasty at all. Some of the male guests had prostitutes as their guests. One prostitue had her teen daughter and toddler son with her. "Its True What They Say..."
Planned a "Single Man" trip to Puerto Plata... Read the reviews about this place on expedia.com, Bookit.com etc. Expedia had the best rates so I booked with expedia. Ok, Saw a few reviews from past guest stating that they didnt have hot water in thier room. I also experienced this. Unable to take a "hot" shower till day#3 on a 4 day stay. (I did wash, […] it just wasnt that comfortable Didnt matter much because I was hardly at the resort in my suite. Stayed a night in a hotel in Sosua one night and they didnt have hot water iether so...go figure) Made a total of 4 calls about the hot water... Saw a few reviews stating that the food left much to be desired. I also experienced this but to the defence of the resort, Thats just how it is anywhere you go in northern DR The food is just different from the food in the US. (will make you have a new found respect for the USDA) Oh and if you can, Bring your own wine... you can drink DR wine all day long and never get happy. How they manage to water down wine? I have no Idea but if you enjoy a good glass wine you will only be satisfied with DR wine if you are the type of person who "appreciates differences" The beach was Awsome Great shaded view from my suite aswell at the restaraunt that serves breakfast. "Perfect Size! Beach View Dining! Great Time!"
We went with a group of 9 in August of 2010. Great time was had by all. It was great to be able to dine with a view of the beach. I believe this resort offers you the best beach location in Puerto Plata. You can get from your room to the pool, bars, restaurants, and beach with a very short walk. I paid for an ocean view room and didn't actually like […] the view because there were some palm trees and a basketball court outside my room which was not the ambiance I was looking for. However, the hotel staff quickly changed my room to one of my liking. I was very happy with my new room and quick customer service. The specialty restaurants were great and the buffet always had something for everyone. Only complaint came.. .only one key per room...and from the kids... no chicken nuggets... other than that we were extremely happy with our vacation. The overall experience was a disappointment. The room we eventually got was not so bad but some of the staffs(wearing blue) were really annoying be very careful of them they try very hard to sell u timeshares. Every where u go someone tries to sell u something. We went to ocean world another disappointment it was the worse don't even waste ur time n […] money. The food was awful. For 5 days i had a severe tummy ache. Don't drink the water at the restaurant .The resort was boring nothing to do. The beach was awful and dirty. They hardly speak English and does not cater for people who does, even the TV channels were almost all Spanish my daughter was not happy watching all the cartoons in Spanish. WHEN WE ASKED HOW COME NOONE WARNED US ABOUT THIS SITUATION 3 DAYS AGO, THEY TRIED TO MAKE UP STORIES IN SPANISH AND TOTALLY IGNORED US AND MADE NO SENSE. "Good for the price"
OK.. here it goes. I went for a girls long weekend. Check-in, not so great, but I expected that. If you have never been to the DR or the Caribbean for that metter - just prepare yourself for a slow and sometimes frustrating experience, then you will not be upset! The rooms were clean and the modern decor was nice. I was expecting the food to be aweful, but it was truly worse than that. The breakfast wasn't bad but the buffet has some serious issues. I had some cheese that was very bad. I lived on the amazing pineapple and great coffe. The food was ok at the restaurant. Definatley pay the $30 up charge for the lobster. You get three! The BEST meal was at the little italian restaurant outside the hotel but still in the complex. It was truly amazing, and I have eaten at many italian restuarants and throughout Italy for that matter! non so perche' la recensione che ho inviato qualche giorno addietro non compare. giudizio negativo sulla pulizia della camera per la quale ho a piu riprese dovuto sollecitarne la pulizia (polvere e formiche). malgrado la disponibilita' di alcuni camerieri il buffet era scarso (poca varieta' di cibo per due giorni sono mancati limoni). l'unico ristorante […] aperto offriva sempre lo stesso menu'. animazione scadente come pure il servizio alla piscina. assenza completa di servizio nella spiaggia. la cosa peggiore e' stato il disinteresse del responsabile gestione che non si e' minimamente degnato di chiedere i motivi delle lagnanze rappresentate al servizio al cliente. in tutto il periodo del mio soggiorno non penso di averlo mai visto. per un soggiorno che prossimamente faro' nella stessa zona ho pensato gia' ad altro hotel. Im grossen und ganzen genügt es Minimalansprüchen. Das Buffet war immer dasselbe und nicht sehr fein. Das Serivcepersonal ist bei hoher Auslastug der Hotels überlastet und nicht im Stande einen guten Service zu bieten (Nicht genügend Besteck, Servietten, Kaffeetassen). Die Drinks an den Bars werden mit den günstigsten Sorten von Alkohol gemischt. Im […] ganzen Hotel bekommt man keinen einzigen Naturfruchtsaft ( Schäbig in einem Land mit sehr viel Früchten).
