Over all the Conrad was a good place to stay with ocean view. I found it expensive but we were paying for the view. Housekeeping could be doing a better job.

Very nice. Great room and very well located.

We absolutely loved this hotel! Our stay was from 3/11/12 thru 3/19/12 and hated to leave. The hotel was exceptionally clean and a 5 star in eyes. The staff were so friendly and most everyone spoke English so there was no problem with communication. There are 2 pools both are very nice and there are plenty of chairs for all. The food from the restrauant […] near the pool was really good and not too pricey. The hotel lobby was a bit pricey so buy your snacks, liquor and health and beauty aids at CVS or Walmart. We rented a car for the week and parking at the hotel is $16/day extra not included in the room. We brought our kids for their Senior class trip and not much for nightlfe at the hotel but if you have 18-20 year olds be sure to go to Club Bravo Disco at the El San Juan Hotel. Old San Juan is only 10 minute dirve and definitely worth visiting. Many different bars and restrauants. Crusie ships come in almost daily. We ate at Senor Frogs and the Fetticine was excellent. Be sure to tell them if it your b-day as you will get a special treat! Drove to the rainforest and it was worth seeing. The trail is a cement trail so makes it easier to get down. Took the ferry to Isa Culebra which was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. It is 1.5 hour drive to the ferry and then 1.5 hour on the ferry. Be sure to take your dramimine! Front desk service needs more staff.

The hotel delivered on the promised ocean front room. The room was nicely appointed in a modern style and the view from the room and balcony was beautiful, with the waves crashing on the shore right below. The grounds were very pleasant. The food was a highlight. The Cafe Caribe was excellent for breakfast and lunch, the Japanese restaurant near the […] casino was a good change of pace for dinner. The Aqua cafe nears the pools had nice casual ambiance and decent mofongo and churasco steak. Room service was good, too. We did not go to either of the really high-end restaurants at the hotel, but they have excellent reputations. Not surprisingly given the location, the food was not cheap. Cab rides to Old San Juan were pretty quick, but cost about $15-20 each way. Staff was friendly and generally accommodating. Overall, a very good introduction to Puerto Rico. Läs mer

Great location, Pikayos is a great restaurant. Gustavo is a superb bartender. Service is very good and hotel rooms and the ocean view are great.

Great hotel,staff very friendly and informative. Told us about a bus to take to Old San Juan instead of a taxi for $15 versus 75 cents. Pool area is big and beautiful. Our room was on the lagoon side--wonderful large balcony and great view. Beach area is small and open to the public. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel itself was "ok"...expected better. The above questions/answers #1 refers to the fact that they broke the wheel off our brand new large suitcase....and in a round about way denied doing so along with the fact of almost saying that we did it and were trying to blame them. Yeah right... I broke the wheel off so as I could carry the frig'n thing […] for the rest of the trip. They offered us a gift card in their SMALL gift shop!! An enjoyable hotel in a good beach front location

The hotel was lovely but the best part of our stay had to do with the staff at the Denny'S Restaurant They were fun and good at their jobs. Made our party of 6 feel very special. Waited on us like we were in a 5 star restaurant. If I were to return to this hotel it would be because of the guys at Denny's.

Pikayo Restaurant on the Mezzanine floor is very elegant and delivers service and great food. The lead Bartender at the bar is Gustavo and he is the best in the Island. Great place for business meetings as well as relaxation and vacation. Close to Old Sa Juan and only 20 minutes from the airport

It was absolutely perfect.

Friendly staff provided reasonable service. Room was not perfectly cleaned and needs some maintenance. The shower door did not close properly, resulting in a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor whenever you had a shower. Wonderful outside pool area with a small public beach. Although the overall hotel is in need of a bit of TLC, the vibe of the hotel is fun. With the location so close the ocean, there is quite a bit of rust and general decay on the exterior of the building due to that environment. Additionally, the building is in need of a deep cleaning (inside and out). We stayed on the "ocean" side of the hotel and that […] wing was particularly noisy. We didn't get a good night's sleep in 4 days we were there. I would recommend staying on the "lagoon" side of the hotel. Our friends stayed in that wing and had a much more enjoyable experience. I would recommend this hotel with the following qualification - if you are interested in a great location in Condado, close to the bridge to Old San Juan, this is the hotel for you. We had the best of both worlds. The pools and pool area is nice and it is close to the beach. (All beaches in PR are "public" but the hotel security staff does a great job of keeping your beach experience as close to a "resort quality" as possible.) Bottom line: If you are looking for a 4 star experience, I'd consider looking elsewhere. If you want to be within a reasonable walking distance to a lot of entertainment options, this is the place for you. (1/2 hour or less to good restaurants/bars in Condado and within 45 min walking distance of most of Old San Juan) Läs mer

We stayed 5 nights on vacation trip. Hotel exterior look was nice but our room was very nicely decorated and updated recently. Bathroom was great. All staff was warm and friendly. Breakfast restaurant was good and service fast. Starbucks attached to hotel was convenient. Hotel gym was neat and had sauna,steam and whirlpool. I would have given the hotel a 5 on everything but unfortunately the front desk staff need an immense amount of coaching on being friendly. I was with some other hotel guests in the lobby and overheard them discussing the very same thing. Extremely curt, stiff and no smiles. Unfriendly

Nice, clean, modern hotel. Didn't write a better review because the shower head was missing, and they took a while to fix it.

This was a good deal. The price for the overall package we got was great. The area is good and has high police precence to keep things in line. There is a great selection of food available and it is very close to Old San Juan. The property is good and the view was great. The only issue with the location is you do have a good amount of Light Aircraft […] traffic departing from an adjacent airport. Läs mer

I'd say that the best thing that this hotel has going is its location on the beach where there is variations in the the terrain. There is a rock and sand beach as well as a number of trees behind the hotel. For the most part, the staff was friendly and accomodating. It is a higher end hotel so there is the agrument that you get what you pay for.

First of all our room was FANTASTIC, we had a corner room with views of ocean and lagoon, perfect! The room was VERY nice, had a great bathroom and also loungy couch and great patio! The staff was nice (well for the most part). When we checked in the person that waiting on us was very nice. There was a misundertstanding of our credit when we checked […] out and the person waiting on us then was also very helpful and was willing to make a adjustment for the discrepancy; even though we paid more then what was originally told to us. It still worked out. We just had one experience with a person at the front desk that wasn't as friendly when we asked a question that I guess should have been asked to the concierge, the staff out by the pool could have been more attentive as well, maybe they thought they shouldn't ask if you wanted a drink or something they were more interested in hanging out and chatting amonst them selves. But overall outside of that everything about the place was great! We didn't have to really leave the hotel. There was a fun bar down the road along the ocean and also some local places to eat outside of the hotel that were nice. We did LOVE our room though! Läs mer

Got a GREAT deal on 2 rooms, however, our rooms weren't ready until past 5pm, it was probably because it was new years eve, but after a red eye flight from CA, all we wanted to do was shower and rest! Other than that the hotel was beautifully decorated for xmas, it was clean, the staff was nice, the pool/hot tub area/beach was amazing!

Elegant and wonderful hotel. The lounge and the lobby is beautiful. There is not club to dance. The pool is great and steps a way from the beach. The food also was great. Overall a great hotel for the price.

HAD A WATERFRONT ROOM. VERY SATISFIED.

My stay at the Conrad Plaza in Condado was amazing! The hotel was accessible to great restaurants, entertainment. , shopping. I felt safe walking the street and I also took the bus or a taxi cab right outside of the hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had several restaurants, but I chose to spend my time trying many of the restaurants […] on the strip. Great shopping on Ashford, it was like Rodeo Drive. Old San Juan is a must for dinning, shopping and clubing. I was there for the San Sabastian Festival 2012. I plan on visiting again next year. Love Puerto Rico!!!! Läs mer

I loved our stay! Our room was nice! The pools were terrific and accessible! The location was terrific and the fact that they had a 24 hour taxi service directly outside of it was awesome! We really enjoyed the great beds in the rooms after our cruise. The pool and patio area are top notch with beautiful palms and tropical plants. The Caribe Cafe is great for lunch with very good service. We had fun playing the slots in the large casino. The next time we visit San Juan, we will stay at the Conrad again. We were there for the New Year vacation and our stay was memorable. Ocean View room is the best. It has got good restaurants and casino. Service was good and everyone was courteous. The Hotel is located in one of the best views of the city. I would choose this again if visit San Juan again.

Since The hotel is located edge of the san juan main streat, Limited restaurant Choise around the hotel in walking distance. Wave hight at the hotel beach is mild. It is good for small children but less exciting for boy's and girls.

Amazing view, friendly staff...bathroom water pressure was great!!! We did a lot of adventurous activities in PR...this hotel room was perfect to come back to! Loved it!

Hotel staff and hotel accommodations were above standard. The staff was considerate and the room was very clean and modern. The outside area of the building would need some additional "sprucing up" because several blocks between buildings were not in good condition. It seems that the overall area is in a transition. The pros: the hotel is in a convenient location - near lots of restaurants, close to both the resort part of San Juan, Old San Juan and the airport and has great views of the ocean or lagoon (depending on your room). The cons: it only has a tiny beach that is not only adjacent to a busy street, but is also accessible to members of the public; - hence […] there is no privacy at all; and the swimming pools are small and crowded. We also had a negative experience - on one of the days there, our room was not cleaned/made up despite reminding them 3 times. They had promised us that the manager will call to provide an explanation but he did not. Instead, they sent a cleaning crew to our room at 10:30pm, after we had retired to bed! While the people working there are all pleasant - it would be great if they could step up and improve their quality of service. Little touches like providing complimentary bottles of water in the room would be nice (we were provided 2 botles of water on the day we arrived, but nothing after that). I would perhaps recommend the hotel for business travellers for it's convenience but not necessarily for romantic get aways. Läs mer
