Very friendly exklusive hotel, fun for kids. Stupid and outdated that it has no fre wi-fi, you have to pay an extra $ 14.95 for it!

We stayed here for two weeks. We fell in love with the area and the staff was so kind. A park close to the hotel where you can work out, lay in the sun or just walk around. Plenty of shopping can be made because there is a nice outdoor "mall" (The Grove) close to the hotel. A beutiful place. I recommend this hotel.

"Very Disappointed"
Was traveling for business. Picked this hotel because it had internet, a business center and a pool. When reserving my room I was convinced to upgrade a pool view room. When I arrived the hotel was completely under construction. The pool was not filled with water and was unusable. I could not even sit on my balcony because of the construction noise. […] Most importantly, the internet was spotty and when I had to print something out at 10 at night I was informed that the business center was also under construction. Most of these problems are probably due to construction. However, they were never mentioned to me when booking my room. When I checked out I was not even asked how I enjoyed my stay. "Close to our destination"
The hotel staff was very friendly, yes this is an older hotel, family friendly. Our only complaint was the walls were paper thin, could hear the guests in the room next door all night. "Big room"
To be fair, for the price it is not a bad place. The room was clean and the maid service was fine. However the air conditioning unit made crazy loud sounds every few hours throughout the night and the TV was an old massive CRT one (not flat screen). The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast room service was good. No safe in the room was […] disappointing. The pool area was ok but the pool could use some attention. No room service after 2pm was surprising! The location is ok but with anywhere in LA you can't walk to anywhere - you need a car. A taxi ride to Universal Studios was just under $20 without tip but the hotel lays on a free shuttle van to and from the park. Overall I was satisfied but don't expect luxury. "clean, comfortable, convenient"
Stayed here last weekend for our annual family trip to universal studios. I like the location since its further away from a lot of the crazy traffic and touristy areas. Its still very close to a lot of great restaurants, and theta a grocery store and a Starbucks right across the street. Having the shuttle service to and from universal is very nice. […] We purchased the head of the linepass.... Made it through the park in about 5 hours, went on all rides, saw all attractions. I will always pay the extra money for this. "Great outdoor amenities"
Our stay at the hotel was great. The pool was very nice, although the hours could have been extended another hour in the evening. Our room overlooking the pool was wonderful, but our son stayed in a room near the hotel's front door and was bothered by the noise during the night.Verifierad gästrecension

"Universal Studios for Spring Break"
Our stay was pleasant. Staff were great. Room was clean. The only complaints we have are 1). There is no free breakfast. They have a café there but they should at least offer a free breakfast to their guests. 2). They charge $11 per night for parking, so try to take advantage of the free shuttle. Otherwise, you will have to pay another parking fee at […] Universal Studios. 3). They charge $20 per stay for a refrigerator, if requested. But they don't have a microwave available. So, I suggest to bring an ice chest for cold refreshments. 4). Room service was limited. 5). Shuttle service was great but again limited (No shuttle service between 12 pm & 3 pm). Plus you need to reserve a drop off & pick up time. However, staff was very kind to offer to drop us off to Universal Studios during no shuttle service time. Olympic size pool was awesome for the family to enjoy. If you are planning to go to Universal Studios & if you need a hotel that is clean, at a reasonable price (compared to 4-5 star hotel), and a pool to enjoy, then this is the hotel to stay at. "Location was the plus"
The hotel was nice, nothing spectacular. Didn't like that there wasn't a safe in the room, we had our passports with us and it's nice to be able to lock them up. We were first given a room on the first floor that we were told overlooked the pool - it did not over look the pool and having no safe in the room we didn't have that "safe" feeling. We asked […] for another room and were given one on the 3rd floor but the view was overlooking a roof top, not too happy about that but the staff were definitely very friendly in helping us get another room. The location of this hotel was great, very close to Universal Studios and the main streets - Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Strip. The section we were in was in need of renovation. The hallway carpet was visibly worn and the room decor was dated. There was no refrigerator in the room. you had to pay to use the computer in the business center. I booked my stay without knowing anything about the hotel or neighborhood and everything turned out great. We attended the Northern Trust PGA tournament, and 2 tapings of sitcoms at the studios. "Can get to CBS Studio City by bus"
It was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't like that the restaurant closed at 2 pm but I knew that going in and there is a restauarant to the right of the hotel that is affiliated. Closes earlier than I would have liked during the week with the shortest being at 9 pm on Sundays. There was a funny smell on the carpet but it might have been […] just cleaned and it was the cleaner I was smelling. The guy driving the shuttle to Universal was very helpful, waited for me when I ran to get something I forgot in the room and picked me up earlier than scheduled as it wasn't too busy that day. It was extremely kind of him. I was going to a taping at CBS studio City and could get to it easlily by bus from this hotel. Really nice pool area and garden with 2 waterfall, it was beautiful. Ice machine was a bit of a hike. They only have the one so it was a bit cumbersome. The extra blanket was ratty but I didn't say anything until I was checking out. they told me I should have let them know and they would have replaced it..so they would do anything to make your stay more comfortable. No free comptuer access..have free internet if you have a computer but not a computer to use for free...there was a charge..can't remember how much but if you were just using it for brief time to printout boarding pass it wasn't too bad a charge. "Blast from the past"
This place is a time warp. I stayed here because it was close to a show I wanted to see. I can't call it retro ... because it wasn't ever updated. It's just old. You can see how this place would have been a really cool in the 50s and 60s. It's recently renovated, but it's window dressing. They made the common areas retro cool, but the rooms are ancient. […] The faucet in my bathroom had peeling chrome and leaked. It's probably 50 years old. The carpet might have been too. Bed uncomfortable. "WASTE OF MONEY AND A HASSLE"
This hotel has a CANCEROUS MATERIALS sign on the door when you walk in. They CHARGE EXTRA FOR EVERYTHING!! $20.00 for a fridge (that cost $70.00 at Costco), $20.00 for a microwave, $11.00 for daily parking, etc., It's an absolute joke. At the end of the day the money I spent equaled staying at a much better hotel in LA. I WAS DUPED and the only reason […] I stayed was for business purposes...it was a central meeting place. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL. They should have closed it years ago but Hollywood keeps renting the parking lot and keeping this DUMP alive. Any HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS is 100 times better than this place.
