Hotell Starhotels Splendid Venice - Venedig

Perfect location. Not the best service in Reception. Small and few people working - long waiting times for checking in etc. Breakfast could be better. Not top quality. For example no vegetables and if you asked for a sliced tomato they charged you 5 Euros. Unbelivable. The room was big and comfortable. Angelica, Stockholm, Sweden

Bättre hotell har vi aldrig bott på. Hotellpersonalen var mycket hjälpsam och gav service med högsta klass. Rummen var vackra och rymliga med utsikt över kanalen. De var också väldigt barnvänligt och restaurangen serverade god mat och frukost.

Ett jättetrevligt hotell mitt i Venedig.Perfekt mellan Rialto och San Marco. Lugnt trots centrala läget och verkligen nära till allt. I stort sett var allt MVG, förutom lite uppstressad frukostpersonal några morgnar och golvlutningen i vårt badrum som gjorde att det "översvämmades" vid varje dusch. Superläge mellan Rialtobron och Piazza San Marco. Det är bara att kliva rakt ut från hotellet och följa strömmen av turister åt ena eller andra hållet så hamnar man rätt. Vi tog båttaxi från flygplatsen och blev avsläppta precis utanför dörren. Dyrt men bekvämt, och båtturen innefattade resa på Canal grande och genom de många småkanalerna. Underbart!! Bra […] storlek på rummet och badrummet var jättefint. Personalen var trevlig, artig och korrekt i bemötandet. Vårt rum var fortfarande inte färdigt när vi anlände en timme efter incheckningstid men vi blev bjudna på hur många drinkar vi ville, så allt är glömt och förlåtet. Suveränt läge mitt emellan Rialto bron och San Marco. Condoler och kanaler alldeles utanför entrén. Romantiskt hotell fast med relativt små rum. Trevlig frukostmatsal, fast frukosten saknar den spets som man förväntar sig av ett hotell i denna prisklass. Läget med nära till allt, rekommenderas.

Jag kan verkligen rekommendera hotellets restaurang. Den kan klassas som en "stjärnkrog". Hotellet är mycket bekvämt beläget med miniavstånd till det mesta.

This 4 star hotel has a great location in the heart of San Marco but if it had been a 2-3 star hotel with a price based on the standard of a 2-3 star hotel - we would definitely recomend it, but it is a 4 star hotel and what you get for that is absolutely NOT worth it!! Me and my boyfriend looked forwards to celebrate our anniversary in Venice with […] a nice romantic room, we had upgraded 4 categories to a deluxeroom with a canal view and we paid a fortune for that - so our expectations were ofcourse high.. We were VERY VERY disipointed when we saw our small room on the 5th floor overlooking some roofs, not even if bended over the tiny balcony could we see the canal underneath us . The bed was also broken, so we had to phone the reception about that and there were loads of smashed dead mosquitos with blood stains on the walls and cieling - not very pleasent to look at... This was definitely not what we had paid for. For the same price we could have stayed at any 5 star hotel down by the Grand Canal, but we picked this hotel due to the great centre location and with the expectations of a big and very romantic room overlooking the canal with gondols and boats - which we had read that it was suppose to be when booking it. We would never recomend it to anyone spending that money for what you will get, better off booking a 3 star hotel in the area and not to have to high expectations. Use the money instead on the very expensive food and drinks that Venice has. In general though, Venice itself was one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen and we had a lovely time. Trevligt och stilfullt hotell i centrala Venedig. Mysiga och fina rum. Badrummen är superfräscha med marmorgolv. Servicen jättebra. Frukosten mycket god. Kan verkligen rekomendera hotellet.

Hotellet var svårt att hitta så se till att skriva ut en ordentlig karta innan. Trevlig personal, rena fina rum och framförallt snyggt och rent badrum. Klass-hotell med nära till allt, inklusive gondoler, vattenbussar, St Markus-platsen o Grande Canale. Lite svårt att hitta till första gången.

This was a return visit to the hotel where we had spent our honeymoon 30 years ago. The hotel is lovely, the welcome was warm, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals we had in the restarant were also very good. We hope to return again and do not plan to wait another 30 years......

Stayed there for 3 nights. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very noisy location- were woken up several times by drunken screaming people in the streets. But close to sights. The worst part about the stay was no customer service. In our entire 3 1/2 days there we only saw the guest relations/concierge there once. We were never able to ask any questions […] unless we waited about 20 minutes at the reception as the receptionists were checking people in and out. We needed help with directions one time and waited so long that my husband left and went to another hotel and got help and came back before I was able to. Läs mer

We were very pleased with the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay there. It was very convenient to the main tourist area & they upgraded us to a better room than we had booked originally.

A first class hotel with first class staff, location, service and accommodation. At breakfast - both food and service were excellent and the receptionists that assisted us with check-in, and finding an emergency chemist on Easter Sunday were more than helpful. I particularly like the warm atmosphere of the art deco sitting area around the hotel lobby. The hotel is located near all major attractions within a few minutes walking distance. We have dinner in the restaurant which provided an excellent service with a reasonable price compare to other restaurants in the area. However, it is located in a narrow canal, […] water bus cannot go directly to the hotel front door. It costs us 80 euro to get a water taxi to ride us from the train station to the hotel front door. Alternatively, you can get water bus get off in Rilato stop with only 6.5 euro and walk through the narrow streets for about 5 minutes. But be prepare that you would easily get lost in the narrow streets while you are finding the way going to the hotel. Get a city map figuring out the way to walk to the hotel would make it easier. Staying at the Starhotel Splendid Venice made my honeymoon the best ever. They upgraded us to a King's suite with river view and deluxe King's bed and also a box of chocolate, this is really sweet of a small boutique hotel can offer! Room is big, nice, neat, clean, great. It is absolutely better than a 3-star hotel and I would say they have 5 star service […] and worth a 5-star hotel! Only 2 minutes walk from San marco square, close to everything. starhotel splendid venice was a wonderful hotel great size for a venice hotel, very well decorated newly renovated, clean, bathrooms were terrific beds were very comfortable, maid service perfect dinner in the hotel was great for thanksgiving hotel front desk needs work. assistance was limited. knowledge of resturants and sites was not addressed with […] great interest in the guests. we were sent to the resturants they were "given" as good ones. they were NOT good and expensive. this hotel will be perfect when they hire front desk management that trains staff to care about their guests. internet was given for free for 30minutes a day in the lobby. what person doesn't need to connect each day. Great location ! great rooms ! Everything nice except the service for breakfast and the breakfast itself. You have to ask for drinks many times and waiters might be quite unpolite. Breakfast buffet was very basic and everything has to be ordered and paid as an extra.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's Sq. It's also a 5-minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The staff was very helpful. Shopping all around. Room was very clean and the beds were amazing. Breakfast was everything you would normally eat at home, including eggs, bacon, breads, pastries and fruits. We definitely stay there again.

i must say this hotel is wonderful and comfortable to stay, very clean and in perfect location. the breakfast is lovely and healthy. this hotel stand near the square and shops. i would go there again.

We had a wonderful weekend in Venice and the hotel was beautiful. It has a lot of atmosphere. It is close to everything, but without the feeling of being in the center of a larger city. A small complaint could be that the breakfast was very small.

Terrible chinzy, minimal breakfast. Dreadful fresh fruit selection, lack of cheese selection, Especially deficit was the fresh fruit. The Starhotel in Milan was far better in the breakfast dept. The problem with you hoteliers in Venice is that you have no real compeition. Need some international level hotels so that overpriced, remodeled palazzos can […] be eliminated altogether. Clean hotel in the heart of San Marco. On small canal and hence, taxis don't like to take you there, using the excuse that the water is too high and bridges to low. However at hotel, taxis come and go freely. Staff professional but unpleasant; you are doing them a favor by staying with them. The staff at this hotel definitely went above and beyond, especially the front desk people. If you are looking for a convenient, central location, this hotel cannot be beat. 2 minutes walks to great shopping, St. Mark's square and many other tourist destinations.

Very nice hotel, good location, nicely remodeled. Very large room (by europian standards) Very pleasant dining hall where breakfast is served (was included in room price), decent selection of dishes. One problem - ventilation in the bathroom did not work. And wasnt fixed during our 2-night stay.

This hotel is beautiful but the bed was as hard as a rock! We both woke up in pain the next day making it difficult to sightsee. Great location and lovely accommodations but the bed and the very poor concierge servce make it difficult to whole heartedly reccommend.

I am an Italian American, have been to Venice many times..and this truly was the best. I have stayed in the most expensive in Venice but they all felt snooty and old..not antique. The Splendid Hotel and its location were wonderful! Close enough to all, so that we could escape the midday tourists and heat, quickly, then head back out. We were able to […] stay in luxury but see all sights within walking distance. The only thing I did not like is not having or allowing an iron in the room. Such an amazing place,dont second guess this place even for a minute. An absolutely wonderful Stay.

We had booked 3 triple rooms and they ended up giving us 3 suites that were located at the end of the hotel with a single entrance so no other guests ever passed our rooms. The size of the rooms were fantastic and quite frankly we were shocked as the pricing was well below what I expected for rooms in Europe. The only issue we had was that in one of […] the rooms I am guessing that a rodent had met its demise in the air conditioning system. Each room had two thermostats so we ended up only using one of them in the room with the problem. Internet pricing was reasonable and the breakfast buffet was included in the rate. The buffet was far from stellar, but it included cereal, breads and fruit which was enough to get us going each morning. The location was great as we were a short walk to San Marcos square and we were able to get water taxis to and from the hotel for departure. The staff was friendly and we were able to get all of our requests filled. They arranged a trip to Muarano to go to a glass factory which was appreciated as we had recently seen it on TV. If you buy enough they will give you a ride back. If you don't, you have to take the public boats back. Be prepared that the taxi boats cost quite a bit to and from the airport so be prepared. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night (July 5/11) during a day excursion to Venice from Florence. The hotel was an easy walk from the water bus terminal at St. Marcos Square and is located on one of the small inner canals in the center of everything. You can walk anywhere in 5-10 minutes. The room was smallish and almost had the feel of a yacht cabin, but was exceptionally clean and modern looking. The buffet style breakfast included in our package was also very good. The price is expensive, but consistent with the generally higher rate in Venice. We loved our time in Venice and staying at this very nice hotel was a big part of that positive experience. From the time we reached the hotel by water taxi to the time we left we found the hotel and its staff were efficient and helpful. The hotel is next to shopping experiences, I even bought a pair of Italian shoes which were fantastic. This hotel is well known from the watertaxi and has easy access by the small canal. This is a great advantage. I would recommend this hotel to my best friend.
