Hotell Ilima Hotel - Honolulu

Ilima är ett bra hotell nära till strand och annan i Waikiki. Rummen är som många andra på Hawaii, helt ok men inget mer (heltäckningsmatta etc.) Jättebra med utrustat kök och balkong! Rummen är jättestora med två stora sängar och internet. Vi hade utsikt över floden, golfbanan och bergen (från våning 9). Från början bodde vi på våning 4 med ett hus […] rakt framför balkongen och parkeringen precis nedanför - ingen hit! Det finns en liten pool som är helt okej, men gymmet är inget vidare (ett löpband i princip). Gratis parkering. Jag bor här gärna igen, det är ett toppenhotell om man inte vill betala för mycket och vill ha ett bra rum att slappna av och sova i. Läs mer

The hotel is old and out of date. They have a nice pool and the staff is friendly. The parking garage is small and very tight to park so if you come back late there might not be any parking. Close enough to everything that you don't need to have a car although parking is free. Can rent a car at Enterpirse acorss the street. Hotel was clean, with large rooms and very friendly/helpful staff.

This hotel is situated in the mid range area of Waikiki between Ali wahi and Kuhio. Parking was very useful but very tight spaces and numbers very limited at peak times on a first come basis. Laundry room very good. Rooms were very clean and tidy and comfortable with a very useful kitchenette. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and coffee machine. […] Had a kettle which was a nice touch. Kitchen units a little old and tired but functional. Table 2 chairs and an extra comfy chair plus a balcony. View was not inspiring as surrounded by other large bulidings and we were not inspired by the area but was convenient to downtown Waikiki and Honolulu and not far from H1. We enjoyed our stay. The room was very large and comfortable. The service was outstanding. We will certainly visit again.

We stayed at this hotel in mid December. The room was relatively clean for the age of the building. We did not see any insects in the room anywhere. When we checked in, the room had a sweet smelling musty odor. Perhaps they fumigate it after each guest? The smell disappated after a day or two. We requested no room service for our entire stay -- the […] hotel had a policy that they must clean the room after 2 days -- so our request was not granted. It was nice to have a stove and fridge to cook some meals. Also the pay laundromat was handy. It is close to a supermarket as well. It was close to Waikiki beach and a in a safe location. we stayed this hotel for 3 weeks. we stayed other hotels such as hyatt and hillton, but this hotel is the best reasonable hotel !

The hotel is older, but well maintained for the most part. Some of the furnishings and appliances in our room were showing their age, but everything worked OK and the bathroom had recently been updated. Having a full kitchen is certainly a blessing when travelling with family on a budget. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's about a 10 to […] 15 minute walk to the beach. Loaner towels and mats for the beach were appreciated. The street itself can be a bit seedy depending on the time of day, but you're just one short block from a busy tourist strip with lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Complimentary parking is a bonus, although the spaces are tight. Dated hotel, but clean. Great location! Beds were as hard as rock....probably the worst bed I have ever slept in. I couldn't wait to get up in the morning to get off that thing. Parking is free, but very limited....it is on a first come first serve basis.

I was not very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The bed was the hardest I have ever slept on. The staff on the other hand was quite friendly. The location was close to shopping and the beach. The street had some rather "shady" occupants at night.

Hotel room was equiped with so old furniture and appliance, need to be renovated.

Room was clean, staff friendly, 2 1/2 block from Waikiki beach. Beds were hard / not enough pillows. Overall experience was good. Did not spend a lot of time in room. We were visiting family on Ohau.

This is the second time we stayed at Ilima. We like Ilima Hotel because it is near to beach but away from noisy crowds. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants, international marketplace, bus stop and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful, rooms large, free parking. We arrived at a busy time and the hotel staff went above and beyond in being helpful with information and anything else we needed. Rooms are very large and clean. Location is within walking distance of beach and restaurants.

Our room was relatively clean, but the bed was not comfortable and the quality of the towels, sheets and pillows was less than desired. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a convenient location. Would probably not stay there again.

We stayed in a superior studio layout facing the mountains and canal. Very spacious. We had a kingsized bed and a double bed and there was lots of room to spare. An advantage of not facing south towards the ocean was that we had our windows and drapes wide open all day and night with complete privacy and no need for air conditioning. The pool - such as it is (small) was being repaired which was no loss as the beach was where it was for us. The only nuisance was that access to WiFi was only in the lobby area. Hotel is dated, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are small. Staff is extremely helpful, and you can't beat the price for the location.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is well within reach of all the activities of Waikiki. We would definitely stay here again.

We did not plan on spending much time indoors during our Hawaiian vacation, so our goal was a low cost room near the sites in Waikiki - the Ilima worked out great. The room was spacious and clean, although nothing fancy, but was totally acceptable and within walking distance of the main tourist areas and beach. Good staff, good location,secure enviroment, laundry, Good overall, reasonably priced and although not 5 star we would stay there again anytime. On this trip we stayed in 25 hotels and we put it in the top 5.

This hotel in Waikiki isn't right on the beach ( three blocks, 5 minutes away) but it does overlook the canal and hills up towards the University at Manoa. Friendly staff and good sized room. Overall excellent, but a/c very noisy, and view over adjoining property not at all attractive.

This hotel was a short walk to the beach etc but was good value.If you have a car the free parking is a definite advantage. A week earlier we stayed at a hotel nearer the beach which was was no better but more expensive and $20 per night for parking.. All in all we are happy to recommend the Llima.

Stayed for two nights as a stopover from New Zealand to Washington D.C. Very pleasant staff, and the room on the 14th floor was large and comfortable for the price, but rather antiquated. Left a phone charger behind, and this was posted to us promptly for a token charge. Hotel quiet by Waikiki standards and handy to all facilities. The Ilima Hotel in Waikiki is an older hotel. We had a studio room that was very large. The hotel is older, but very clean.The staff is very helpful and accomodating. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who needs extra space and doesn't mind an older hotel.

Convient to all attractions with free parking. Large room with kitchen. Free mats and towels. Friendly, helpful staff. Take the Lei making class.

The Illima - though dated and in need of an upgrade - was a delightful, out-of-the-way hotel, far enough away from the street noise at night, but close enough to any desired activities. The front desk staff really made our stay the absolute best - always willing to answer questions and give great suggestions. They really made the hotel!

Location close to buses, restaurant , International market, large room with regular size refrigerator, microwave, oven with pots and plates, large flat TV. carpet in good condition no smell. For this price of hotel, it's a bargain. Staff are very helpful

This hotel was a great value. The room was large, the beds comfortable, the kitchen was very usable with the tools needed for simple meals. The location was good, just three blocks from the beach and a store two blocks away. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel provided a free lei making class which was a blast.

We found this hotel when we searched for free parking. That saved us $20-$25 a day. The hotel is a block from the main shopping street and very accessible to shopping and restaurants. While some features of our room looked a little dated, they were in good condition and well maintained. The kitchen was handy. Small, older hotel with a great price. Our room #702 faced the canal and mountains and had a wonderful breeze. One block off Waikiki shopping, so it's close but still away from the bustle and congestion. Grocery, up 1 and over 2 blocks. Lobby and rooms are super clean. I was looking for a place to stay during a three-day visit with colleagues at the university and I wanted a hotel that was not too expensive but not a dive either. Hotel Ilima fit that bill. The location near Ala Wai Blvd was fine for me because I was not interested in the beach; although, it could be an issue for people wanting close beach access. My room was on the 11th floor, so there was no problem with the usual Waikiki noise.
