We used the hotel as a place to sleep while visiting with relatives. It was quiet, clean, and breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed one night. The desk clerk could have been friendlier, but that's always the case. You never know what he was dealing with just before we walked in. Although we booked a non smoking room, the room we were given did not have a no smoking sign by the door (other rooms did). But the room was very clean and the only evidence that anyone may have […] smoked in it was the "frebreeze" odor. We stayed put, and it was fine. The hot breakfast was good and the woman setting it up at 6:00am was working hard and was chipper. Fake eggs that are pretty much standard now were the only letdown. With a fresh, hot continental breakfast of choice every morning and mini-coffee makers in every room, staying more than one night felt like being at home. From front-desk, to housekeeping to breakfast hostess, everyone on staff was warm, interested in us as individuals and eager to take our stay with them over the top.

Really friendly staff. When they found out that we were in town for a funeral, they discounted our room. Pillows could be a little firmer, but the rooms are very nice. Free full breakfast - not continental. Would stay here again.

Upset because of the $50.00 incidental charge against my checking account. Room was prepaid, I got there about 10 at night, left early in the morning, told the person there would be no incidentals, and still $50.00 was removed. Don't like that, and let your manager know. Other than that, all else was fine.

My fiance` lives in Atlanta, GA and on this past week he and my father had plans to go to lunch to discuss some things for the wedding. This was a very nice hotel. Fresh cookies at the reception counter and a more than adequate breakfast. Nice room - bed was very comfortable and shower was great! We were moving our daughter to Summerville and needed a place for three adults to stay. Hotel clean, showing some wear however not enough to cause concern or issue. Room comfortable, clean and quiet. Rates very reasonable. Staff excellent and friendly. Everything about this hotel was excellent. The staff made you feel like family, especially the front desk staff Mindy and Eugene. The staff who took care of the continental breakfast also did a very nice job and were very pleasant. One of the best hotels in the "bargain" class. Very clean, coffee & tea available most of the time as well as cookies too. Breakfast service was good and room was large and well lit with windows for natural light. Would definitely stay here again.

I liked how we were on the top floor. (No elevator but didn't mind because at least we got exercise.) Liked how we had a quiet room! No screaming kids and couldn't hear the TV next door which is nice.

We traveled down to the Charleston area for our 10 year anniversary and chose this hotel based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. Great hotel for the price, and close to everything. The staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay.

The room was adequate in size and furnishings. We heard no outside noises to disturb our sleep. The continental breakfast was outstanding in the variety of offerings and the quality of those offerings.

Very central location, excellent morning buffet, service beyond expectations. Our mini fridge worked to well, froze everything, when we told the front desk they replaced it within 20 minutes with a brand new model, will stay there again.

Let me preface this that I would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel is clean and comfortable. The Pool area well maintained. Breakfast was included and plenty for all tastes. However, it does not have an elevator nor is the fitness room in the main part of the building and you are near the Walmart and Quality Inn, very […] close to the Highway. Oldest Hampton Inn I have stayed in, lots of updates are needed. Lumpy blankets, old crooked furniture. I was not very impressed. However the staff was very pleasant and they had a nice breakfast spread.

Very clean, nicely decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean and everything worked well. (not a lot of counter space in bathroom though-no big deal). breakfast was well done and clean and tidy and staff was friendly. The drive into historic Charleston was only about 25 min and well worth it to stay here.

Very nice hotel, in a convenient location. Breakfast was adequate, although at times things were running low and had to ask for it to be replenished. The one negative which I found in both Hampton's we stayed at during this trip is lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

I loved my stay. Very friendly service and will come back. The only reason why I would rate it a 4 out of 5 is because there is no elevator and my mom needed more help due to her fibromyalgia . It is an older hotel but very well kept up. I will visit again.

I saw that this was the top rated hotel in the area and I could definitely see why. After staying for only 2 days we had decided to extend our stay one more night because the experience was so pleasant. After just one day we were already on a first-name basis with the employees, and they had a blast with our 1 yr old daughter, going out of the way to […] ensure that we had whatever we needed for her. The free breakfast was far better than a lot of hotel breakfasts that we have had. The choices change on a daily basis, and it is not simply a cheap continental set up. The Hampton Inn was very comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and the location was perfect for us right between Charleston, Columbia and Hilton Head. The breakfast was nice and the lady who took care of that area, kept everything nice and clean... The "robust" coffee was great!!!
