Hotell Rodeway Inn - Raleigh

This hotel advertise one thing but when you get there it is entirely different,the rooms on line say that the rooms are suppose to have microwaves and refrigerators but they don't.How ever I was able to talk them into putting a refrigerator in the room by showing them the online print out,not my best choice of hotel.

I have stayed at many a hostel and motel through the years. I can easily say this was the worst place I've ever stayed. I would have checked out and requested my money back immediately had I not been exhausted from traveling and very busy during my stay - I just didn't have time to deal with changing my accommodations. My advice to other travelers? […] Don't stay here. Just don't. Unless you really want to have the experience of staying at the worst motel you've ever seen - it will make an interesting anecdote for conversation for years to come. Why? The room was grungy in every imaginable way: There was a lampshade missing from one of the lamps, exposing a bare bulb. A wall sconce tilted to the side. Carpet was threadbare and dusty along the corners. The bedsheets weren't tucked in. There was a strange smell in the room. Alarm clock didn't work. And, of course, there was the cockroach crawling over the tv screen as I watched. Overall ickyness and run-down atmosphere. I didn't feel safe. I should have canceled my room as soon as I arrived. Because after hours on a delayed Amtrak train around midnight when I was exhausted, the front desk attendant couldn't figure out how to check me in. She had me standing there at the desk for what seemed an eternity. Once I got the key to my room and put my things down, the phone rang and the attendant asked me to come back to the front desk. She was still having trouble processing my check-in and was on the phone to her supervisor, who was at home trying to sleep. Yeah. Just book somewhere else. Läs mer

The hotels look nothing like the pictures on line. It is very deceiving. And once you arrive and try to cancel, then it always causes a financial strain on the person who has reserved the room. I was not pleased with the condition of the room at all. Bed sheets was not clean and room looked so out dated!

This Rodeway Hotel was AWFUL! The first room had no door handle on the other side so I had to look for it to get out of the room...I was then put in a second room which was next to a room that had a drug bust at midnite...so that woke up the whole floor. When reserving a hotel ahead of time, I would assume that a room was saved. Apparently however, they don't go that far. Well, there were rooms, but not what I'd been told I was purchasing. All I asked for was a smoking room, not that difficult right? I chose this hotel because of its location, cost (on a budget) as well as wifi for school and free breakfast. […] We get there, and they didn't save a smoking room for me. Seriously??? Do you not keep track of the rooms you book. It's not that I had to have a smoking room it's the fact that when someone pays ahead of time, it's nice to know that you're doing your part of the deal. Anyway, they put us in a non smoking room. Then I realize how tiny the room is. Oh well, but the bathroom light is out. I notify the attendant. An hour later he tells me that they don't have the tools neccessary to fix it.... So then we end up getting a different room. The area seemed a little sketch. When I say the word sketch, I mean I was afraid to go out of my door to get ice at night. It's a good thing I had my husband with me. Otherwise I would've ran to another place (after demanding a refund haha). I mean, just because someone pays less for a hotel does not mean it's okay to let your hotel run into the ground. The overall cleanliness was not good and many things needed to be replaced or cleaned and painted. The pool water was horrible. I got sick. However the evening staff was very pleasant and helpful. Walked in and walked right out. Room is horrible. If we stayed we would have gotten bed bugs or a disease.... No consistent water pressure. Even for the price its bad. I should have known that it was bad when i had to wait 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front dek that it was bad. Went down the road and am glad we did!!

I tryed to stay but could not. My room had a strange smell the, they need new or clean furniture. I paid and went to another hotel. I was told I could not get my money back. Never never again will I stay there and thats a long time.

Did not have any hot water for shower, they put us in a different room and didn't have hot water there either. Changed to different motel

The hotel room was in a good location and it served its purpose, "resting place." The issue I had was the linen was nasty. The sheets were washed however old stains did not fully come out. I believe if you can't wash the sheets back to its original color, the hotel should get new sheets and disposed the old sheets. This was very disturbing and nerve […] reckoning. The hotel was old and not well kept. I requested a room change because the linen in the first room was unclean. The carpet was very worn in the second room. I found the hotel to be dim and uninviting.

On the website it said rooms had refrigerators and microwaves, but I guess you had to request them and it would have cost more. Which I would've paid more or gone to another hotel. The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. The employees were all nice.

I was expecting a Continential Breakfast and the Econo Lodge had the WORST type of Continential Breakfast that I've ever had at ANY hotel that I've ever stayed. The Bagels were dry there was cereal but NO MILK,NO FRUIT,NO hot water for the Oatmeal(packaged). Overall if I had to choose a Hotel in Raleigh it would NOT be the Econo Lodge on Appliance  […] Blvd. Läs mer

Room was clean, staff was helpful with helping me with directions to the concert venue I was attending.
