Hotell Opera Hotel - Prag

Allt fungerade enligt förväntningarna, förutom en sak. Det står på hemsidan att det är badkar på ALLA rum, men det är det inte. Vi fick dusch, och ingen mer förklaring på det. Annars bra hotell!

Vi var mycket nöjda! Perfekt rum, jättebra service, trevlig hotellbar. Det enda var att det låg ca en kvarts promenad från centrum, så vi bodde inte "mitt i smeten", men vi föredrog det och tyckte att det var skönt att komma bort lite från myllret. Skulle absolut rekommendera och kommer troligtvis att bo där nästa gång i Prag.

Hotellet ligger bra till i centrala Prag trots ett relativt billigt pris. Rummen var även helt okej, frukost detsamma. Vad som var dåligt var att det är en motorväg precis utanför hotellet(stör inte så farligt), lite halvsjaskiga kvarter precis utanför hotellet. Sedan att personalen var sisådär på engelskan var även ett minus även om de var trevliga. Dock, […] skulle jag själv välja att åka tillbaka igen om det är lika billigt nästa gång. Hotellet var fräscht och låg ok till rent geografiskt, nära till det mesta. Däremot var trafiken lite störande på kvällen, det gick inte att ha öppet fönster. AC:n gick inte heller att ha på nattetid (blev för kallt, ingen möjlighet att justera temp) så det blev varmt under natten.... mindre bra. Mycket slitna rum med smutsiga väggar.14 tums tjock-tv med få engelskspråkiga kanaler. Ingen papperskorg på rummet. Sängarna är smala och korta. Hade tåspetsarna utanför sängen och jag är 180 cm bara. Lakanet täckte bara 90% av sängen. Hotellet vetter åt en motorväg på ena sidan med trafik dygnet runt. Sista natten hörde jag grannens snarkningar. Urtrist […] receptionsområde med vare sig fri Internet, dator, tv eller engelskspråkiga tidningar. Enda positiva var ett fräscht badrum och ett fungerande AC. Ok för priset men definitivt inte ett 4-stjärnigt hotell. Läs mer

Vi skulle kunna bo på Opera nästa gång också. Bra läge och bra service. vi fick god hjälp med bokningar av turer, taxi m.m.

Ett trevligt hotel med bra läge i utkanten av gamla stan. En kort promenad bort från centrum. Trevliga närliggande restauranger. Fina ljusa rum, trevlig personal och riktigt bra frukostbuffé. Skulle vi åka tillbaka skulle vi bo på Opera igen! : )

Really good location. One block from downtown and 4 min walk to the shopping mall Palladium. Supermarkets, McDonalds and KFC in the same neighborhood. Ok bars around the corner, but the case in Prague is looking for the cheap pubs. One can make good bargains in the vicinity of the hotel such as bags and shoes. The hotel was above expectations, neat […] and tidy. And the breakfast was very good to be Prague. Different toppings, a variety of rolls, fruit, pastries and more. Bra läge, gångavstånd till centrum och till kommunikationer. Bullrig storgata. Mkt bra frukost. Internet kostar extra, i rummet finns bara kabel, ingen Wifi.

Vi var mycket nöjda med hotellet, rummen och frukosten. Men personalen skulle kunna gå en charmkurs. En del av dem var inte speciellt trevliga.

This is the place if can walk five to ten minutes to Prague old town. Conviniently located near the subway and at half the price of the places inside the old town.

The Opera Hotel is great value on the eastern border between the old town and new town. Its also bright pink so very easy to spot! There's a tram stop right outside, but I walked everywhere with the old town square only 10-15 minutes walk away. Free (wired) internet in the room was fast, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was […] large and clean. TV was small with only a couple of English language channels, but you shouldn't be watching TV on holiday! There was only a shower, and no bath (which wasn't a problem for me). The only criticism I have is that my sheets weren't changed one day for no apparent reason. Staff were helpful providing maps and advice and checking out at 3am! Not an enormous range for the breakfast buffet, but all the main breakfast options you would expect were there. Would highly recommend as an inexpensive place to stay in central Prague. Läs mer

The hotel was only a ten minute walk from the main train station and was easy to find. It's also only two blocks from the Florence subway station where the Red (C) and Orange (B) lines come together. If you're flying into Prague, there aren't any rail lines running from the airport to the main (central) train station. You have to take a bus which drops […] you off at Dejvicka Station on the Green (A) line. Jump on the subway, it's only going one way (Southeast) from Dejvicka, and get off four stops later at the Mustek Station where the Green and Orange lines converge. Jump on the Orange line heading east towards "Cerny Most." You only go two stops and get off at the Florence station. The neighborhood looked a little intimdating at first, graffiti everywhere, but the more time I spent in Prague the more I realized graffiti was everywhere. The hotel is only a fifteen to twenty minute walk from the Old Town Square so you're not really in the heart of things but on the outskirts. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was okay and internet was available in the room using an ethernet cable. Wifi was available but only in the lobby area. The bathroom was nice, a little small but very clean and the television was about as small as they come. All-in-all, the hotel met my needs and was a comfortable stay. I'd stay again if I come back. the Hotel may have been a four start when renovated ten years ago, but it is mostly a three star now. When checking in the clerk was rude to us for no reason. the bar was open but the bartender always seemed to be missing. Breakfast was very good. Bathrooms were nice, but all the towels seem to be from 1950 or so.

The hotel is 15-30 min walking from the historic center. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. It is difficult to find if you are driving. Car parking is quite expensive, it was approximately half the room rate. The hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast was tasty and the food selection was good.

We were very happy with the service and the location was very convenient. It is truly a Value for Money Hotel .... we would high recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague without any hesitation

The hotel was a very clean three star. Apart from the crabby dark haired woman with glasses in the dining room, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The included breakfast wasbquite satisfying.

Overall everything is good. Hotel is near to metro. My room is in good condition, with air condition, shower is strong, breakfast is good too. One thing that I am not satisfy.. I stayed here for 5 nights, but it seems that no one vacuumed the carpet floor,but only the floor of bathroom.

easy walking distance to must-see sights. Tram and train stations at door step. Breakfast provided a great start to the day. Staff friendly and helpful even with language limitations. Great value for money.

Easy to find. Get off at the Florenc metro stop, walk to the other side of the freeway and you can't miss the big pink building. I was told to give an hour notice when I wanted to use the hot tub so it could heat up. I did, but it was still wasn't hot, just warm. The water was low so it didn't cover the tops of the jets so when you turned the jets […] on a bunch of water just sprayed far up and out of the hot tub. It wasn't worth paying money to use the hot tub. Thin walls - I didn't have my TV on most of the time so I could hear the couple in the room next to mine talking pretty clear and they weren't being loud. Besides those 2 complaints I liked everything else about the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. Dinner one night in their restaurant was good. Friendly, helpful staff! Beautiful historic building. Reasonable rate in March. Walking distance to historic city center. A delicious complete breakfast was included.

We spent 5 days at Hotel Opera in Prague and can absolutely recommend it. The rooms were spacious, beatiful bathrooms and very nice staff, good breakfast. Trams and Metro near the hotel, with easy access to the Old Town and Center. We bought a 5-day ticket at the airport, this was valid on all public transport. Even though the hotel was a 10 minute walk from the centre of the action , my husband and I loved it. The people were friendly, the breakfast delicious and the location very convenient to the station and other amenities.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Opera Hotel. The room was clean and spacious, the location was pretty good (only a few minutes from the bus station/metro stop, about 15-20 minutes to Charles Bridge/old town/other big sites), our room price included breakfast which was actually pretty decent, there were a bunch of really delicious and decently […] priced restaurants in the neighborhood, and the staff were very friendly (most spoke at least a little English). I have two complaints, however; there was no wifi or free internet (I would think that that would be a general service today) and they charged us for use of the hot tub and then again for the sauna which we thought was strange. We assumed that amenities like this were free (as they generally are in just about every hotel) and used both the hot tub and sauna and then were surprised to find that on our bill at the end. Not a single person mentioned there were would be a charge and we didn't see it posted anywhere. I suppose it's really our mistake for not reading the hotel guide well enough but we thought it was strange that no one mentioned we would get charged...We also thought it was overpriced for what it was. The towels were like sandpaper. Bathroom was very modern. Room itself somewhat austere. Had an issue one evening with the restaurant - although dinner was advertised to be from 6 to 10, when I presented myself at 8 I was told it was not possible to serve me because they had a large group booking: at the very least residents shouild have been warned […] . The Hotel Opera could be very pleasant indeed. The building is attractive, everything works, the decoration is in good condition and it's very clean. However, the service is not so much poor as non existent, and the hotel feels as though the staff are inexplicably off duty at the same time. When staff do appear, they seem to be going through the motions […] at best. As the location is a bit marginal - it's not particularly attractive, but is within walking distance of the centre, and very close to a metro - it needs a little something to make it appeal. Sadly, despite its good condition, it fails to find that spark. Pluses include spacious, up to date and exceptionally clean bathrooms, and a very good breakfast (other than hugely disappointing coffee). So while our stay here was perfectly acceptable, we feel sure that there are nicer places to stay in Prague. Läs mer

The hotel is conveniently located, five minutes walk to the Powder Tower. I stayed in a deluxe double room on the fifth floor which was very comfortable with a queen bed and a sitting area, air con and all the expected facilities. Breakfast is good, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant, it seems to be a family run hotel, […] and nothing is too much trouble if you need advice or help. Internet access in the room is limited to cable however, and the wireless, available only in the lobby, is slow. I sometimes walked to McDonalds down the street when I needed high speed internet e.g. to use Skype. I stayed there happily for seven days. Läs mer

Ticked all the boxes as a good base for a weekend break. Excellent value

We very much enjoyed the hotel and the fact that it is close to activities but not directly in the center. It gave us easy access to Prague with a really peaceful, environment in which to sleep and relax. My only complaint is that the coffee served with the hotel breakfast was terrible. It was completely undrinkable. Location is right off the highway, managable walk into the old city and St. Charles Bridge. Parking through a 3rd party is two blocks from the hotel in an open lot and is 350 kc per night. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The surrounding buildings were very run down and we did not feel comfortable out after dark. It was a short distance from Old Town and had no problem walking there during the day.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a great time in the lovely City of Prague. The hotel was very clean and had a delightful entrance hall. The staff on the desk could of been a little more helpful, when trying to book taxi home to airport tried to get us to pay for a more expensive firm instead of the one we wanted to use. Our room was […] overlooking the small park, there was a interchange near by but it didn't cause us a problem sleeping. The room had air con, mini bar, internet access and safe which was free. Our bathroom was to die for, we had a small dressing room along with room and bathroom all very clean, cleaners came in every day and you could have you sheets changed daily if your requested. The hotel buffet breakfast had a large selection of food from cooked to salad. We had a couple of evening meals at the hotel which were excellent value for money, 3 courses for about 27 Euro's which also included a bottle of house wine. It was a short walk to most parts of the City, there was a tram stop outside the hotel and the metro was only 5 minutes walk away. The main problem is difficulty sleeping because of the constant sound of traffic (including ambulances)during the day and all hours of the night. First time visitor to Prague. The hotel wa a little difficult to find as the signage is on the side facing away from a one-way street. The staff spoke good english which made it easy on us. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but nice and clean. We had a great view of the downtown area. For the price, we would stay there again.

The hotel was fantastic, the bar and restaurant were both brilliant. The breakfast was very good. All the staff were very helpful and I could have no complaints whatsoever. Fantastic hotel!

Nice stay, very clean, close to metro stop Florenc. The area is a bit "un-sophisticated and not posh" but never felt unsafe.
