I stayed only one night. For families with children I would concern about all sex clubs and sex shops in the neighbourhood. 4 min. walk from the Central Railway Station was great. The lobby area was like in most international hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My single room had a big bed with room enough for 2 persons. May be it was a […] double room. Everything was nice and clean. No disturbing noises from the rooms next door or from the corridor. Walking distance to Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest area), pedestrian street and Marienplatz.. I did not visit the restaurant or the bar, but my overall impression of the hotel is very good. Guests will really get value for money. Läs mer

I travel to Munich about twice per year for business and often stay at the Maritim because it is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and its location is just 200 meters away from the in-town subway (U-Bahn and S-Bahn) and the long distance trains to major cities. The area near the hotel has a few adult shops, but it not a dangerous area in any […] sense of the word. I have never felt uncomfortable about walking around the area at night alone. Plenty of food places are nearby and you can either walk or ride the subway two stops to Marienplatz, the city's central square. I would recommend the Maritm to anyone looking for a quality mid-level hotel that is priced competitively for the central Munich area. Läs mer

The hotel was clean and well staffed. The staff were tremendously friendly and helpful and all seemed to speak English. While the setting of the hotel is neither romantic or atmospheric, it is well run and centrally located. From Goethestrasse it is possible to walk to all of the major museums and other sites of interest. Stayed in the Maritim hotel for three nights. Location is really good - situated across the road from the hautbahnhof so easy access to/from the airport/main train station. Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant as had heard this was expensive. There wasn't a lot to offer in terms of food (other than Burger King or kebab shops) in the area, but there is […] food stations in the train station and Marienplatz is 2 stops away on the underground which has a variety of options. From the time we checked in to our departure the staff at the Maritim were both friendly and efficient. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the service in the Bar was very slow despite only a few people being there. The breakfast was a expensive for what you got.

Hotel is conveniently located near Munich's main station with excellent links to trams, underground and trains. The hotel is set back from the street so is very quiet. Everything about the hotel was excellent: reception was efficient and happy to hold bags, room was clean and spacious and the pool and sauna facilities were good. I'd happily stay here […] again. Hotel had a great location. Was only a 10min walk to the beer tents. Close to all other attractions Munich has to offer

A good, clean hotel tucked away from the traffic noise in a good location. I would recommend this hotel to Munich travelers.

I can't say enough positive about the Maritim Hotel, Munchen. The only negative with our stay was that because of train issues we were a day late arriving and when we did, we went to the breakfast room to hav brunch, and just missed it by about two minutes. Unfortunate, as it looked very good, however there are lots of other places in the general area […] a short stroll away. Being so close to the Central Train Station is really a bonus. Läs mer

Nothing special... Wouldn't pay that much to stay there again. I got stopped by a hotel person when trying to get back to my room in the evening and was asked to show my key card, give my name and room number.

Don't let the neighborhood deter you- the hotel is excellent.

If you need a hotel close to the main train station this is very close. The hotel is ok, but nothing great.

Slept like a baby...they were pouring free Lowenbrau in the lobby...breakfast was plentiful...and staff was very helpful. Price was steep but that's what you'll get during Oktoberfest because the grounds were very close.

Location was excellent. Within walking distance to Oktoberfest and the marienplatz square. Very near the train station which was nice because I had a 6am train to catch. However, my a/c did not work. I advised the hotel and was gone the entire day only to return to find it still had not been fixed. I had to sleep with the window open which was terrible […] because my room faced a street with a Hostel. The Hostel was loud and I was awakened each morning by street sweepers and garbage trucks. This hotel is virtually next to the main train station and is within easy reach of the main sites.The rooms are clean and comfortable.The staff are helpful and polite.The facilities within the hotel are o.k-the swimming pool is smaller than it looks in the pictureand the gym is very small.Yet it all works and thats what matters.It is however more of […] a 3 star hotel than 4-there is not that luxurious feel to it.Still a very comfortable place to stay at a reaonable price. The hotel was very nice, with a nice lounge in the lobby area. The rooms were clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. The fitness room had nice equipment (Life Fitness) but both pieces needed some service. The worked, but were loud. The hotel is near the central train station, which is convenient but not quite in the middle of things (Marienplatz). […] The surrounding area is decent but certainly not high end. The hotel is offset a block from a main street, so it is quiet and more private. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. Now that we know Munich a little better, we may choose to stay next time closer to the center of town, but for the money we could do a lot worse than Maritim. Läs mer

Great Piano bar. Friendly staff. Comfy rooms. Very close to Central station, but yet very very quaiet. Good price with Hotels.com Will defienetly go back there again.

Needed a hotel close to the main railway station and this was just right. Room was ok but bathroom had seen better days. Hotel staff were very helpfull.

The price was extremely reasonable for the area and the summer season, so we were not expecting much. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were a good size by european standards, comfortable and very clean. We loved the pool and sauna, as did the children. It was beautifully maintained. The lobby was modest and we didn't try the restuarant […] (hugely expensive for breakfast). We loved being close to the train station, with so many options for high quality, modestly priced options of all types (italian, german, kabab). The location was convenient to either walk to the old city or jump on the train. The other nice option, being a block from the central station meant it was easy to find our way home, if we got lost or tired. Other reviews noted the "red light" district. Yes, there were signs for strip clubs, but no one pulling folks in, no women on the streets. It really wasn't an issue for us with our children. Läs mer

The Maritim Hotel was a pleasant surprise, being less than a block from Munich's main train station but still very quiet. Very friendly staff, room not super spacious but ok. Very nice pool on the 6th floor with view over Munich. I found the breakfast buffet too expensive at 22 Euro as was internet access at 15 Euro/day.

Central location, comfortable hotel at great price.

The hotel is ideally situated virtually across the road from the main train station. Entering the foyer makes quite a good impression and the staff are quite friendly. Unfortunately the hotel bedrooms are seriously in need of redecoration and the interior design reflects the age of the hotel. We did not eat at the hotel as the €18 for breakfast can […] be skipped by feasting at the train station for a third of the cost. The swimming pool is also deceptively bigger in the photos but is clean and the facilities are quite good. I'd still recommend the hotel as a place to sleep - the town center is a 10min walk away. The hotel was very nice and our room was comfortable, but our room was opposite a youth hostel. When we tried to sleep with the window open at night (fan was very noisy, so we tried for fresh air), the noise from the youth hostel was too loud. People congregated in front of the youth hostel, so (even though it appeared that there was a curfew)the noise […] level was like a big party. Nice, quiet, clean hidden hotel with friendly and quality staff. We highly appreciated their professionalism. The cleaning crew was a bit inattentive but that was only a minor minus.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und durch die Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof ideal. Auch die Innenstadt ist fußläufig sehr gut zu erreichen.

Die Lage ist super. Die Freundlichkeit gut. Aber die Zimmer incl. der Ausstattung max. 2-3 Sterne ! Achtung Zimmer gegenüber Youth Hostel bis 05:Uhr morgens sehr laut.

Classico albergo a 4 stelle appartenente ad una grande catena. La sua posizione vicinissima alla stazione centrale lo rende meta ideale per chi viaggia in treno. Come tutti glia alberghi moderni di questa catena, l'ambiente risulta un pò "freddo" e privo di personalità seppur molto confortevole.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer optimalen Lage zum Hauptbahnhof und damit zum Innenstadtbereich. wir hatten Abends das perfekte Dinner und auch das Frühstück lies keine Wünsche offen. Das Bad bedarf einer gründlichen Reinigung im Bereich der Fliesenfugen.
