Ett prisvärt hotell som dock kunde ha varit bättre på service. Bokad rumskategori var inte tillgänglig. Ett malande oljud från någon maskin störde nattsömnen. Fick dock byta rum. Big and nice room on the 6:th floor. with 2 good separate beds.,Silent room,well functioning aircondition ( 40 C outside) Sitting group. The and coffe facilities,frige. Centraly cituated to many museums. Good Metro comunication to Citycenter

Enjoyed stay very much.

Close to the station and a parking lot. Food is really good and the price is acceptable. Rooms were clean and the personnel are friendly.

Within a short walk from the main museums, Reine Sofia, Prado and the central station the location of this hotel is perfect. Small hotel and friendly staff and faciltities that are good and OK but no luxury.

Stayed 3 nights here. Location of hotel is accessible to Atocha Renfe train station (about 10 mins walk), although we had some difficulty finding the place. 1. 1 bed that is made out of 2 beds. They can be separated with a push of a finger. 2. mini bar is not free 3. you have to pay for wifi in basic rooms if you are a tourist, you need a wifi. 4. if you are sensitive to noise. we came into Madrid on a train and elected to stay at the hotel overnight , we had a flight the next morning. The hotel was fine, the breakfast was good, It is next to Atocha train station so it was convienient. It seems like a more businessman's oriented hotel.

Overall, we had a nice time at the AC Hotel in Madrid. Probably the biggest draw was the location. The Hotel was very close to the Atocha station making it easy to take day trips via the high speed rail and also to get to the airport. The rooms were large compared to many European hotel rooms. Bathroom - outdated but not bad. Beds were very comfortable. Great location

The hotel has everything you need for a great stay in Madrid - close to transport, restaurants and within walking distance/public transport of everywhere you want to go. The hotel was located near the train station which isn't the nicest areas in Madrid, however it was central and easy to get to most places in Madrid and Spain by metro or train. The room was average, beds not the most comfortable but it was clean and the minibar is free with soft drinks and water which was useful considering the room was very stuffy.(In […] November!) Our room was in the first floor and you could hear people shouting from the street on some nights, something that we were expecting from reading reviews about hotels in Madrid. Lobby was not inviting and was mainly full of buisness people sitting in silence with their laptops. We didn't have a bad experience but it could have been any low budget hotel. very nice business style hotel just a short walk from the train station and the museums in that area. although a business hotel it is also very nice for tourists as well. possibly the nicest, hotel i stayed in while in spain.

The only grouch I had was that they were short-staffed both at reception/concierge and as regards food services. The food itself was good, though. One of the waiters had no English, even about menu items!

Great location - 5 minutes walk from Atocha Rail Station (from the back AVE train part, not the front part). Can walk to Prado and nearby sites. Nice staff - great breakfast buffet. Rooms clean and spacious. Loved it. Highly recommend.

The hotel was fine - near the station and near all the galleries and Retiro Park, but if I was returning to Madrid as a tourist I would want to be more in the centre as the area around the hotel does not have much character and the centre of the city is about 25 minutes walk or a metro ride away. Hotel is newly refurbished so the decor and cleanliness of the room was great. Free wi-fi is only available at the lobby. Close walk to the Atocha train station which is good if you arrive/depart Madrid by TGV train. A nice, clean, comfortable large room and large bathroom, free full breakfast, free mini-bar (mine had beer, and Fanta Limon soda which rocked), whirlpool bath, rainfall shower, convenient location, and nice staff all at a reasonable rate - how could I NOT like the place? The only peculiarity is that wi-fi is free only in the lobby, not incondusive […] to me, but others may take note. Also, on a lesser note, it's supposedly a 'green' hotel; you are supplied with only a packet of a few tissues which didn't get replenished. If you tend to use a lot of them, you may want to bring your own. Finally, as someone previously stated, there is an express bus to the airport from Atocha station for only 2 euros. This was a great hotel for our first night in Spain. The staff were helpful and very obliging and even with limited language, we managed to get everything we needed. Hotel´s internet is slow nd quite painful to use, so suggest you look elsewhere for this service.

On a two week vacation around Europe this was by FAR the best I stayed in. HIGHLY recommended. It is close to the Atocha train station and metro stop- providing easy access to anywhere in Madrid. Very convenient for travelling both within the City but also Spain in general as Main line Sation[ Atocha ]and bus terminal all within walking distance Bus service to Airport by bus both good and cheap. Staff at hotel very helpful Room lighting could be improved. Toilet brush please to save customers and staff embarassment.

Great location near the Atocha train station; free minibar and wifi; large comfortable room with ample closet space and desk area; great service from the front desk. I will stay here again each time I visit Madrid.

This hotel was an excellent find! Hotel looks in brand new condition, and the room itself was quite big and modern...contrast to most budget european hotels. Lots of channels on the TV, and free minibar! Was also in walking distance to the train station and the major museums. Could not have picked a better place.

Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. Clean room, comfortable bed and free minibar. (no booze). Located in a cozy neighborhood, its a fifteen minute walk to the Prado and 5 minutes to the Reina Sofia museum. 15 minutes walk to the Atocha Renfe Rail Station, which is the stop for the Yellow Airport Express bus. Booked this hotel for a short vacation. Decided on taking the Metro from the airport because I have a family of 5 and there were no taxis that could take 5 people (must have 2). The room was quite stylish; the free mini-bar (albeit limited to about eight soft drinks) was a nice bonus; the room and hotel were clean; the staff helpful and overall an excellent experience.

Overall, we like this hotel very much. They even offer the complimentary mini bar, and refill it every day. Really nice! The guy at the front desk is nice and helpful, I believed his name is called Julio. I will definitely book this hotel again.

I highly recommend this hotel for folks who are looking for a nice hotel on a budget. The people working there were very helpful and everything was well maintained. I really appreciated the added effort one employee did to help me find a converter when I was running out of options.

Walking distance to the most places you want to see: Prado, Tyson, Sol, Opera, Royal Palace, Gardens, shopping and so on. Also close to comute centers: Railstation, Metro (subway). Very, very convenient. I took the subway only for airport and used the railstation for one day gateway to Sevilla.

We spent two nights at AC Hotel Carlton Madrid. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the nearest metro station, and only 3 stops from the city center (Sol). The staff is very friendly and speak good English. We were impressed when during check-in, one staff offered us a slightly smaller room but is super quiet on the 5th floor, exactly what we prioritised […] whenever staying in a hotel so that we could have a good rest after exciting but exhausting tour every day. The air condition also works well. The breakfast is one of the best I have had in a four star hotel anyway in Europe. Not too far from the Atocha subway/Metro station, but a little removed from all of the central action of Madrid. They gave us a strange room that had a window that opened up at the floor of a tiny patio with fire escape ladders. We were only there one night, otherwise I would have asked for a room that felt safer.

This hotel is rather a good quality 3 star then a 4 star hotel. The room was very clean but the bathroom small and simple with no proper doors. HIgh quality breakfast. No free WiFi in the rooms!

Whilst I think this hotel is fine, I had a poor experience with a grey haired male receptionist who was short with me and did not come across as a bit helpful. We asked him where the nearest metro station was and he initially didn't even look up. Eventually, he grabbed his pen and circled Atocha station on my map, but did it in a way that indicated […] he did not want any more questions. It turns out there was actually a closer metro station than Atocha. Rooms are fine though, breakfast bit expensive at over €15, its only a 20min walk to the centre of the city. From an Irish person's point of view, there was not much of an atmosphere in the residents bar. Läs mer
