Hotell Hotel Maya - a Doubletree by Hilton Hotel - Long Beach

Allt bra även om Long Beach i sig inte är det roligaste området. Poolen lång men onödigt grund enligt barnen. Bästa fördelen var priset!

Trevligt hotell med fint läge på poolen, gratis buss runt i Long Beach. Rymliga rum, se dock till att välja rum med balkong mot vattnet, vissa rum har endast fönster och vi fick först ett sådan och det kändes som ett fängelse. Vi byte direkt rum och sedan var allt bra.

I would highly recommend this hotel from the perspective of a single female traveler. It is quiet and clean, the room was beautiful and spacious. The hotel is right on the waterfront, has a heated pool (not to miss!) and lots of other amenities that I had no time to check out. A 10 minute walk by the waterfront to the Queen Mary cruiseship and museum, […] which is a great place to visit. From there, you can hop on the free shuttle that will take you to the Aquarium of the Pacific on the other side of the bridge. You can get a combo ticket for both. If I were to go back to Long Beach, I would definitely stay here again. Läs mer

This has the feel of a 60's travel lodge. So the "bones" are a bit dated. But really a very nice renovation. Room was great. Large and nice. I actually like the Mayan theme. Great restaurant. Super location, w water taxi. All in all, would recommend.

We recently spent the weekend in Long Beach on family business. After long days, it was so wonderful to relax at the Maya. The view of the harbor is beautiful, the rooms are great, the bed is wonderful and the warm cookies at check-in are just the topping on the cake. We will stay at the Maya every opportunity we get.

What an awesome hotel.....very different decor, perfect location, every room has a view of the water. I would recommend getting a room with a balcony. The bar/restaurant has an amazing view of the Queen Mary and the grounds are relaxing to walk around. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this Hotel over Easter weekend. Pros: From the front desk to the bar, the service was great. The décor was outstanding. And overall, the place was surprisingly comfortable for a young family. We were able to walk with our two kids, 5 and just under 2 years old, to the Aquarium, maybe about a mile away. Cons: The restaurant is very pricey. […] And the building exteriors feel like works in progress, like they’re trying to rehab the hell out of an old, grimy set of buildings, and some of the grime refuses to go down without a fight. Room was clean and comfortable and guest services were both courteous and friendly however, I guess I just expected slightly more out of a Doubletree Hilton. Not that our experience was bad, it just wasn't great.

This was a great choice for our weekend getaway. With beautiful views of the Long Beach harbor, easy access to the Shoreline area and downtown Long Beach, you can choose to take a nice walk to restaurants, shopping, the aquarium or the convention center. Nice hotel, as it's situated near the port you do need to drive into long beach, but can walk to the queen Mary for a drink/meal. Breakfast good but pricey. Staff were very good, good size pool, swim lengths whilst looking at the Queen Mary, gym well equipped. Good size rooms, good value for money.

I've had to go to Long Beach several times in the last two years and this is the only place i will stay. Great rooms, good prices, great staff, and great location. Although it's a little bit off from the downtown area, it's close enough to get there for an $8 cab ride or use the free passport shuttle. Service is good. Those rooms are too humid. Gives a gross feeling. I didn't receive a chocolate chip cookie. It's okay it was close to the port so it served my purposes.

We cannot wait to book again...had an absolutely beautiful time!

finding the hotel is a bit hard my gps got me lost. Check-in went easy. Would have liked a late check-out, but nobody was picking up my call to arrange that. Also parking is $17 per night not $15 as the rate stated on hotels.com. I would stay at the hotel again.

We stayed in the Long Beach Doubletree and one in Santa Monica. I can't believe they are part of the same chain- Santa Monica was truly amazing. Long Beach Doubletree "Maya" is dismal! Issues: 1. We arrived about 8pm Sat night- no hotel staff around at all. My husband had to leave me outside with a sleeping baby, toddler and seven bags to go and find […] someone to help us- all while a group of men stood and smoked watching us. Awful. 2. Reception advised with no remorse that the bell boy was busy and would be at least 40 mins! He actually shrugged his shoulders when I asked what I should do. 3. The bell boy came after ten minutes (not 40) and took us on a buggy to building one. He helped us in the elevator with our bags. My husband and I were unsure about tipping (being from Australia) and so my husband tipped him while we were in the elevator because it was easier. When it got to level 3, the bellboy got out and simply walked away leaving us to get the kids and bags to the room. I was horrified! The bellman at Santa Monica who was simply wonderful told us that shouldn't happen and actually apologized for it. 4. There was obviously a party on our floor with loud music which woke my youngest up twice! 5. The bathroom floor flooded when I took a shower. And worst of all, I booked two queen beds and this room had two double beds. I book online because its convenient being an international visitor, not because of any deals. The online website for Maya is misleading and certainly not what you get. Beware- avoid this hotel if in Longbeach. Läs mer

One of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. Will definitely be coming back.

It was okay. Nothing amazing about the hotel, but it did have a great free shuttle stop.

We had a room with an awesome view of the harbor. Rooms were great and facilities were good as wel. Free internet and great beds.

We chose this Hotel because it didn't look like the typical giant corporate chain hotels and was close to the Carnival ship dock. It turned out to be a charming, well maintained "boutique" type property, with a lovely glassed in restaurant overlooking the bay, and pretty pool, neither of which we made use of, but they look like they would be fun if […] it were warmer. The rooms are large and clean and some have balconies overlooking the water. I suppose if we were staying more than one night, the potential for noisiness might have been a problem (you can hear people outside walking by and talking). Be aware it is NOT AT ALL convenient to town but there is a shuttle you can take that is free. As New Yorkers, the $17 parking charge did not strike us as overpriced at all. And the best thing was the service - they let us check out late and when we just missed the shuttle to the Cruise Terminal, Gopal drove us with our luggage on the little golf cart they use to take people to and from the shuttle - definitely above and beyond the call of duty. Parking is 17 Dollars and should be included. Otherwise the hotel was awesome, really clean and nice looking

This is our second stay at the Maya. Carpet was dirty, chunks of stuff on the floor - yeck! Also, Maya tried to charge me $17 when checking out for over-night parking. This was not disclosed on my online purchase. Luckily they decided not to charge me. All in all a disappointment. location not so good. Without GPS, I will never find this place. Pictures from hotel's website look better than in person. I think it is overpriced if you are paying full price.

Our family of four stayed here one night as it was close to the cruise ship port we were leaving for the next day. We were all very impressed with the location, friendliness of the staff and would certainly stay here again. There is a free bus shuttle to Long Beach for shopping, eating, sightseeing which is very handy.

Great location. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Great hot tub and pool area. And of course - the best tasting chocolate chip cookies on the planet!! Free bus to downtown makes it a breeze to check out some local sites.

The Hotel Maya is situated near the Queen Mary, making it possible to see the gorgeous ocean liner and a splendid view of the marina from your room if you select that view. Fantastic location! Large screen television and nice amenities, lovely pool and exercise facility. There is deck like seating in the pool area from which you can gaze at the ocean. The […] bathroom however, is inadequate..pretty & clean but.no counter on which to place your things, a sliding tinted glass door makes it awkward for privacy. The style is trendy..like an Ikea store. Most rooms have a balcony with a sliding patio door which makes for a fun experience, especially if you catch the sunrise. The boats on the water are just beautiful to see outside your balcony. We had a few issues and Liz, the manager did everything she could to please us, providing us with a wonderful complimentary breakfast which was very much appreciated. Excellent service. Hotel room is clean with a good size balcony. Got 2 warm cookies when checked in which is very considerate. The bellman is very helpful when told our shuttle is late. He voluntarily helped to call the shuttle company and ensure it is on the way. We stayed at this hotel Nov 5/11, we wanted a hotel close to the Carnival Cruise ship terminal. we received warm cookies on check in that was very cool and this hotel provided a freen shuttle to the ship the next morning. i would recommend this hotel and i would stay again if we cruise on Carnival.

Super close (walking distance) to cruise terminal and the Queen Mary. Awesome restaurant and breakfast bar. We loved our stay here prior to our Carnival Cruise.

Staying at this place makes you feel real relaxed and as comfortable as your own home

My room was large and clean and had a great view. However, this place is not as plush as advertised. We could hear every shower run and toilet flush; the clammor of doors opening/closing in the "hallway" (actually it was outdoors) was annoying.
