The facilities were well maintained but old. Televisions in the room were at least 15 years old. No internet capability in the room. The heater / Air Conditioner had a constant rattle that we had to pretend was White Noise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and surprisingly good. The local town, Hawley, has nice antique stores and was pretty. On our last day, I fsaw a centipede in the room and that freaked me out a little. I've always wanted to stay at a place like this. Mirrored walls, circle bed, heart shaped pool and champagne tub jacuzzi. I guess I should've asked what was included in the all inclusive. Bring your own strawberries, whipped cream, candles, bubble bath and liquor coz it wasn't included. All in all, great get away!

Check in wasn't until 3:30 pm on Friday. Lunch was NOT included on Saturday. We left right after Breakfast on Sunday. Would not refer this hotel to friends.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was hesitant to keep the reservation, But I'm glad I didn't cancel. We Had a great weekend getaway; it was raining So we took advantage of the indoor activities That we would have never done at home. first time at this resort....did the all inclusive..was well worth it....food was awesome and everyone at the resort was so friendly and helpful....and lots of stuff to do without leaving the resort...would go back for sure

Having not been to this all-inclusive couples resort since an anniversary nearly 25 years ago, we were pleasantly surprised at the upkeep and quality of service provided by employees that genuinely seem to enjoy working there -- in fact one dining waiter was impressed when a couple recognized him from a stay 14 years ago.

Had a great time. The food was excellent, the people were nice, and the entertainment was great. The place could use a few cosmetic updates, but overall, a fantasitc place and a fantastic vacation weekend.

First, i was a little concern about some of the negative reviews posted but I decided to check it out for myself . I am glad I did. My husband and I enjoyed outselves. Took my husband for his 40th birthday and we had the best time! We stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple (Room 119) After reading all the reviews I was a bit hesitant to stay here, but I am so glad I did. We went up to Cove Haven this past weekend to celebrate on our honeymoon and we had a wonderful time! The heart shaped jacuzzi tub was absolutely to die for and despite the fact that it was too bitter cold and windy outside to do anything outdoorsy we didn't have any trouble finding ways to spend our time indoors. The lake was beautiful. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and sitting in the hot tub while looking at the views. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice area, very pretty with the leaves all in colors. But the resort had an indefinable air of neglect about it. Repairs were neglected or done cheaply. Dinner was 'New York Strip Steak'. This resort is in need of maintenance. There were plants growing in the gutters on the roofs. The water amenities were not available, they had drained the area and there were no paddle boats available and you could not get near the water. We ordered Penne Alfredo for dinner and the amount of garlic in it was overpowering. We could not eat it. On the […] plus side the room was nice and clean. OK for a Quick cheap getaway - u get what u pay for........

Great room - received a free upgrade - staff was very friendly - a bit far from the highway - directions a little tricky but if you have a GPS you'll be fine. lots to do. shopping close by. food choices were pretty good. would recommend to other couples. didn't like being placed with other couples - make sure to ask for your own private table for breakfast […] and dinner. otherwise be prepared to talk. great resort! My husband and I chose Cove Haven as a weekend getaway. The room was clean but need a touch of "newness"..meaning upgrade (tv, curtains, bedspread, a new bed, new decor, etc..". The food was good and plentiful. We enjoyed the entertainment and activities. We would definitely come in...

Before i booked my room, i read multiple reviews with had mixed opinions. I must say the property does seem to be little outdated with the room decor but makes up for it with excellent ambience's and location. It sure is a good getaway for couples to spend some good quality time together...in summary would sure recommend to try at least once.

I booked this resort as a birthday present for my girlfriend. We usually make fun of people who write reviews, but I thought that it would be worth writing one in this case. In short, I expected a lot more for the price and a Caesar's resort. Things that I liked: breakfast in bed was on time and well done, the in room jacuzzi was nice, the area is […] secluded, the jacuzzi/spa area is open 24 hours, dinner was good, staff is very helpful for the most part. Things that I didn't like: its like of like a time warp into the 1980s/early 90s with the style - even the bad poster of a couple getting married posted on the main drive is clearly out of the 80s, the outside looks like a motel/interstate rest-stop, the room was musty (but clean), the room appeared cheaply done with cheap aluminum columns and the facade over the bed had a mirror which allowed you to see (in fact you couldn't help but see) the carpet end/glue on the other side because of the mirror, you have to pay to play the video games - annoying because its supposed to be all-inclusive, it was a very nice day but the marina was closed (Oct) so we could not go paddle boating, the lunch area reminded me of the college dining cafeteria. We are really not hard to please, but we will not be returning to this place. We just expected more for the price. I would have been much happier staying at a nicer hotel and ordering room service. The hotel was in a nice and quiet area. The rooms need to be renovated. It was hard to find out the activities that where available while staying there. There was a nice pool hall, swimming pool. I would stay there again simply for the quietness and Jacuzzi tube in room.

The bed was very old and uncomfortable. There was a empty soda can between the sofa cushions. There were someone's filthy sandles in the closet. There were dirty socks behind the dresser. There was trash on the floor in the corner of the room. When we complained they just said that they will bring it up in a meeting!

He hotel was tucked away, very quiet, romantic. Perfect weekend getaway. I lvoed it, it had everything I needed and wanted! The food was delicious, drinks, and entertainment!

We had a great stay here, it was just what the love doctor ordered! The resort was a little on the cheesy side (round beds w/ mirrors on the headboards) but it was very secluded and romatic. CLEAN ROOMS...COZY...EXCELLENT GETAWAY FOR COUPLES...ENJOYED EVERY LAST MINUTE..FRIENDLY STAFF.

I have to say i have heard alot about this place and that it was a must see at least once in a lifetime. I really enjoyed every aspect of the stay. I would definately recommend this place to everyone. Very romantic, cozy, and clean. Loved every minute of it.
