Trög inchekning. Näst intill omöjligt att ta sig till 10 våningen (Penth house) Dålig tillgång till pool område. Omöjligt att ta sig via hotellet till strand och pool innan 11.00 Långt till affärer och restauranger.

Good Htl 4 the money.. You need a car to take you in to town/art deco but you can take the bus to, is right outside the Htl. It's a old htl with alot of History my parents stayed there in the early 80's..

I had of course read all the negative comments about the hotel here on the site and was even about to cancel it, but decided to give it a try anyway, mainly due to its location. I found the staff to be friendly and professional and not rude, as has been described. The rooms were very simple, but mostly clean (some minor detail as a dirty TV-set though). […] What irritated me was the fact that it was not possible to turn the AC off without pulling the plug, nor regulate its temperature, but hey - I was not supposed to be all the time in the room anyway... They did NOT charge me the extra "spa fee" nor extra for the breakfast (very simple), but 11 USD per day for the parking (which is ok, considering the location). Vi fick ett dåligt städat rum, AC pajade så det blev kokhett på natten. Fick byta rum och i det rummet var sängen så dålig så det var svårt att sova. Godispapper och skräp under sängen från tidigare gäster.

Not too expensive, but quality related to that level. Front desk was not clear about how the wireless internet worked but we found out by ourselves. Breakfast was expensive and not very interesting, staff quite bossy on the verge of impoliteness. Very nice pool and pool area; short walk to the very nice Beach.

Bra läge vid havet men lite off från annat närutbuid. Skitig bassäng och maten var nog det sämsta vi upplevt under hela vår resa.

Bra läge på hotellet om man vill bada och sola. Brist på matvarubutiker och resturanger i närområdet. Städpersonalen va ett inget roligt kapittel. Dom städade ok, men vi vaknade varje morgon till skrikande, sjungande och gapande städpersonal precis utanför dörren, (07:30) personalen bar även med sig kommunikationsradios som va uppskruvade på högsta […] volym. Ett mycket stort minus. Vi fick även sura miner vid frukostbordet när vi inte hade frukostbiljetter, efter lite frågande fick vi veta att personalen hade glömt att ge oss dessa. Inte lätt att veta. Slitet men ok hotell på beachen. Stora rum som var rena och fräscha. Skaplig restaurang som serverade en bra frukost, naturligtvis mot tillägg. Kräver att man har bil för att komma till nöjen.

Grymt bra hotel med bra läge om man vill ta det lugnt o slippa stressen i stan, 1 mil ner till Ocean Drive men här finns bra pool och fin strand.

The Hotel was old and poorly maintained. Rooms are noisy as you could hear neighbors coming and going. The continental Breakfast consisted of cereal and toast only. There was no fruit, juice etc... The pool Bar was terribly overpriced.

Terrible stay experience. No help at all if you need info Unsatisfactory restaurant. My wide forgot 3 expensive jackets in the closet. We drove down. When we noticed Them missing we were too far to turn around. Someone in housekeeping stole them.

The hotel was comfortable.There was no exauhst so, the bathroom stinked.Everything else was fine.

Amazing Russian Spa for Hotel Guests is only $15 a day.

Affordable and fairly decent for a place to sleep. Might want to consider another place if want want more than average luxury, comfort and service.

A great location, close to Bal Harbour Shopping, but unfriendly staff , and rooms that belong in a century old hotel. I paid for a Junior suite ocean view, was given an old room with side ocean view and the front desk employee kept insisting that that was a Suite, asked to see a regular room to compare , he refused.

very nice and comfortable place that i even been on the sort with good price and pretty nice services.

clean and very quite place, excellent for people who will like to have a piece of mind, parking available and close to a park and beach.

The phone was not working when you called the front desk. The rooms & hallway smelled like mold. The front desk service was extremely slow. The parking lot was very crowded, there were many cars parked outside the plot. Had to be extremely careful when you drove through the parking lot. Nice location, good price.

Bathroom full of hair , pool very dirty , full of hair and bugs ... Looks like good but it is not... Never more !!!!

I bet it was great when it opened, but now you do not even get a decent land telephone in your room. I switched rooms because the first one was a smoking one and I could not have a conversation with front desk from any room due to static in the lines. If you are in need of any help in this hotel, fat chance. The operator just keeps you on hold for a long time and when you call back, I believe she notices your number and puts you back on hold without answering. Perhaps the hotel need to pay them more. You are better off with a regualar hotel room facing the ocean becuase it really isn't that muchh more space and it has almost the same equipment--my friend stayed in one. It is not a bad hotel, it is just that if you are looking for a classy, beach experience, this is just not it. Spend $20-30 more and just get a completly upgraded hotel altogether. You has as matter well stay in the Days Inn or one of the independent hotels in the area which are more reasonably priced and the same outdated infrastructure as this hotel. On a scale of 1-5. Hotel was right on the beach with its own access! Loved the pool and poolside bar. Food was very good in the restaurant and the waitresses were great. The downside is the location of the hotel for shopping, which was not in walking distance, but a short bus ride away down or up the strip!

The hotel was old and falling apart, the rooms smelled like a combination of mold and bleach, the staff was rude and had no customer service. Even the continental breakfast was terrible. Never would recommend the hotel. Tried to check out early and could not get my money back. Only advantage is its location on Miami Beach

Paid for the hotel on the phone. made sure to gt an ocean view, got to the hotel and come to find out they said i only booked a standard room, i was so angry i didnt get what i paid for. overall nice hotel.

It 's a good place to rest for few days w/family, a very quiet place, the room should have a litle more comfort mainly the matress and pillows, the floor of the pool need little repair& if you reinstal the mini golf that used to be next to pool years ago, would be another amenity for guest.

i stayed in this hotel 35 years ago... so if ur looking for something modern this aint it... however well maintained and very friendly staff and beach front property without all the extra charges makes this hotel a value

I have stayed here several times haven't been in 2 yrs. was pleasantly surprised I guess its under new management and they are doing a fantastic job. The abiance and service was great,location only a few minutes from south beach and ventura mall. I am looking foward to going again very soon. We had two rooms for our stay and everyone was great,esp. Pilar. she helped use with our next stay, after our cruise.

everything in the hotel was great the service,food,spa,room,bar,jacuzzi,beach,tikki huts on the pool it was very nice my family had a great time.

I must say that the service was truly terrible. The only pro was the location which was in a not so great neighborhood but near the beach. Now, how to begin describing the cons. When we get to the floor, the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke just made my whole family cough, Thinking it could not get worse, the keys would not open the door. The concierge set up the keys to the wrong room. After getting all that taken care of. The room that was given to us had the stiffest mattresses and the most pungent air freshener smell that still could not disguise the smoke scent. We reserved a non-smoking bedroom to our surprise. After waking up from a nightmare of a mattress, we went down to grab the so called "free breakfast." Let me say this, if I gave you a cardboard box and called it a home, you would feel disappointed or even furious. Well, if you give me a toast and called it a breakfast, I would be disappointed and furious. I feel embarrassed to have taken my family there. We booked this hotel after we got off our cruise at Port of Miami. It was actually pretty far away.. but they graciously let us check in about 4 hours early. We were grateful..had luggage and no car!! Room was spacious and clean. Location was not optimal for going anywhere since we didn't have a car, It's pretty much just surrounded by other hotels. […] But the pictures aren't lying, it's right on the beach!! It wasn't a very nice day, but we did sit out there and listen to the waves, which was nice. The hot tub and pool weren't very clean, which may have been from the rain earlier. My family and I stayed in a junior suite at this hotel for a week. We could hardly wait to get home aside from the beach. The location was ideal, the beach was great but thats it. The restaurant service was poor and the food was not bery good at all. House keeping was poor in service and the room felt unsanitary as a result. The rooms are old and need […] to be updated and properly marketing on the websites. This hotel looks like it has not had a single update since the mid 80's. I booked the ocean front room, and the beach view was gorgeous. The free continental breakfast was enough to get your day started. The beach was good too, but its not clean, there were lot of seaweeds floating in and around the water. You get the beach chairs to relax on the beach. Overall nice experience.

Upon check in, front desk fine. Easy check in. As we got out of the elevator to go to our room, we can hear arguing inside one of the room, which was 2 doors down from ours. When we got into our room, we could still hear the arguing, it got louder and louder, it sounded like there was riot going on in that room. We spent no more than 5 min. in the room, […] when my husband suggested we change room immediately. We told the front desk our situation, they sent security up. However, the front desk was helpful and understanding and changed our room, to an upgraded room. When we checked in, it wasn't as nice as the first one. But we were tired and decidedbt to change again. A few min. later the room next to us, had an unruly child, crying screaming, parents yelling at the child. We figured it's Friday night, but hopefully it would not cont. it did for most of the evening, but stopped around 12 pm. My husband put ear plugs to drown out the screaming child. Also noted, there were no elevators or ramps to carry your luggage to the lobby. Only stairs or the bell boy could be called to do it. Not good if you have heavy suitcase!
