Overall, we had a good experience. The atrium pool space is a huge plus as a backup option in case the weather turns lousy. We lucked out with good weather, and we spent a lot of time on the beach. The room was clean, and we were impressed by the full kitchen (with microwave, fridge, and stove, as well as dishes and cooking pans) and separate living […] room space. Even though our room faced the atrium and the atrium was really busy, as soon as we shut the doors, our room stayed quiet. Only complaint is that the hotel doesn't seem to have been updated much since the 1980s, so the decor seems dated. Oh, and the AC unit in our room, though adequate, was a bit noisy. The amenities were wonderful. Schooners, the restaurant in the hotel, was reasonable and delish. The atrium and pool with the hot tubs were to die for. The creative spa - in house beauty parlor- was fantastic. I had a wonerful massage. I had a wonderful time and would go back again.

Hotel was clean and rooms had lots of space. Only issues were is pool closed at 10 pm and resturant in hotel had terrible food and horrible service

Good experience with this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nicely equipped. Didn't visit the pool or bar though. Also having a secured parking garage was great for car show week. Will stay here again.

The bed was incredibly comfy. Nice strong water pressure. The only complaint is that we weren't given conditioner along with the shampoo and lotion.

Liked the hotel, on the beach. Staff was great- very pleasant and friendly. Only issue was minor- the bathroom door in the room would not seal and lock but everything else was pretty good for the price and location.

Very nice. More expensive that the basic hotel but was perfect for our group. Nice atrium by the pool made a great area to hang out with our group.

This wasnt my first stay at this hotel, I also enjoyed a girls wknd with my friend in Oct/11. This stay, My husband, my 8 year old and my 4 year old all enjoyed ourselves on Easter Weekend! The hotel was very clean, large rooms, and the location is perfect. The ONLY thing I could complain about (being honest) is that they were very very busy. My stay was absolutely wonderful in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and very willing to help in any way they could. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The ammenities were close to being at a resort. I would defeinately recommend the Princess Royale and I will definately stay there again soon!

The room was clean, large and in a great location. The hotel had lots to offer. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is in regard to the heater/air conditioner. It was very loud and old. Other than that, great hotel for a great price!

Overall it is a decent establishment. I feel it was a bit over priced for what it is. Things were clean for the most part, but it had a very dated look and feel. The heating and air conditioning unit in our room was archaic and very noisy. In retrospect I'd have saved a ton of by staying at Holiday Inn caliber hotel and not sacrificed comfort or decor. […] I will not be going back. Läs mer

A comfortable clean room. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there and it was nice to be able to close the door to the bedroom after the kids were asleep. It was a little far to Assetegue but not everyone goes there.

Perfectly decent hotel. Lots of space, and the kitchen supplies were good. Some of the dishes can be cleaner. The big problem for me was the rather uncomfortable bed.

We stayed off-season on a Sunday night, so no restaurants or shops were open, but the rooms are fabulous and the staff is wonderful! The pool and hot tub were very clean.

Comfortable and well equipped hotel. Beds were wonderful. Frig had ice maker! Staff were knowledgeable about restaurants nearby. And the parking was free! (We did stay there off-season and right after Hurricane Sandy and everyone was very helpful and probably happy to have us show up at all).

We went to the Princess Royale based on a friend's recommendation during off-season in Ocean City. First impression, the lobby was a little cramped for an upscale hotel. The multi-level parking garage was convenient. The hotel itself surpassed our expectations. Our room was a suite, which we didn't realize when booking, so this was a welcome surprise, […] We had 2 Queen beds in the bedroom, a kitchenette, and a separate living room with a sleep sofa. Very nice! Our view was of the indoor pool, but by looking sideways or going out on our tiny balcony, we could see the ocean through the pool-area windows. The pool area was spacious with a five story high atrium. The hot tubs were relaxing: One hot tub was indoors and two were outdoors. There is direct access to the beach from the pool level. We picked this place because of their lovely pool. The pool was so cold it was uncomfortable to swim in. I asked the manager and different staff members to turn it up at least to state minimum, but in the three days we were there it stayed very cold. We were passing through Ocean City and chanced on the Hotel Royale because of location to restaurants and stores. It was off season so a lot of places were not open. Nice, clean hotel. Beautiful inside. Rooms and beds comfortable.

the sheets, towels and pillows need to be replaced with new ones...the staff was good,,but the white stuff needs to be whitened up with new ones...would we stay there again???probably not!!!!

Upon check in I asked if our room was a poolside room, was told no by the clerk. I said to my fiance that I had really wanted a pool side room, which clerk over heard and made NO OFFER to change our room. There were plenty of open poolside rooms as we discovered on our stay that weekend. I thought that was rude of her.

Our suite was quite nice with a living area/kitchen and a separate bedroom. Each area had its own TV. We had a view of the ocean and a balcony that overlooked the indoor swimming pool. The dining facilities in the hotel were quite nice and we were conveniently located close to several other restaurants that were within walking distance. Evfor side and back sleepers.otherwise everything else was great.erything was great and the only complaint we have is the bed pillows. They were either way to soft and small or way too hard and very uncomfortable. This hotel needs to replace these pillows with a quality pillow made of down and feathers that is medium

I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend. The location is great. It's right on the beach and theres a lot of restaurants and bars around. Parking is located across from the entrance in a garage and is very convenient. The room was nice, it has a kitchen/living room and little dining area with the bedroom separated by a door. The balcony was small […] but we had a view of the beach and the bay. The only complaints we had was the shower head was more of a hard spray and the ice maker in the refrigerator didn't work and there are no ice makers on the floors. We ended up turning the ice maker off but it was still noisy. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed out stay. I would definitely stay here again. Läs mer

Princess Royale was in a perfect location. The beach is right out the back door of the pool area. Pool, saunas and indoor hot tub were nice. Outdoor hot tubs were a mess and not hot; luke warm at best. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Refridgerator ice maker did not work but was fixed as soon as I notified the front desk. It was a great place to stay. We didn't use the pool but we noticed that it was busy during the day. The restaurants breakfast buffet was good. The bed was sooooo comfy! It was clean and the staff was very nice.
