Hotell Aqua Waikiki Wave - Honolulu

Rummen städades så sent som vid 17-tiden. Rummen var lite slitna men det var vi beredda på så det var OK. Skulle nog inte varit lika nöjd utan erbjudandet vi fick.

Låg bara några gator från stranden och i närheten av shoppingcentrum samt närhet till hållplatsen till trolleyn. Kan vara störande ljud på helgerna om man är känslig. Vi var där under Halloween men hade inga problem, låg även öronpluggar på rummet om man skulle behöva. Väldigt trevlig personal. Finns pool, som är mycket lite, inget som hotellet ens […] berättar om. Men varför pool när hela havet finns i närheten!? :) Internet fungerade till och från i rummet, i lobbyn var det bäst. Läs mer

Personalen otroligt vänliga och tillmötesgående. Ett litet minus var poolen som var vedervärdig men vad med pool när Waikiki beach ligger inom 5 minuter. Nära till allting!

Our stay at Aqua Waikiki Wave was pleasant and the location is great. Nice and close to the beach, shopping and entertainment. Parking was a bit questionable with a first come first serve basis - at least there was compensation when the lot was full at the public parking lot next door.

They gave me a huge two-room suite with two balconies and three queen-sized beds on the 10th floor. It was just me staying by myself. The bed I slept on was very comfortable with quality sheets. Being a Wednesday night, there was free live music in the lobby, and staff was serving free pineapple juice-champagne drinks.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the heart of all the action in Waikiki so nearly everything is within walking distance. Especially great places to eat! The rooms are amazing and have a fantastic view from their balconies over Waikiki! The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay and the price is well worth it. Perfect location hotel, being only a few blocks from the beach and right in the middle of the shopping and dining. My bed was super comfortable and the staff always helpful. It can be a little loud on the weekends, however I had no problems sleeping. The Aqua Wave was in a good location although it was very noisy in the early hours of the morning due to a nightclub being next door. The room was very clean when I checked in and I was upgraded to 12th floor, however housekeeping was practically non existent during my stay from 4-8 April on the 12th floor, I had to ask for my room to be cleaned every […] day, it was never cleaned until after 4pm, I did stay from 11-14 Aril and upgraded to the 15th floor and the housekeeper on that floor was fantastic - Merilyn was very good and even left a little note welcoming me and another note before I left to wish me a safe flight home etc. Overall the hotel is fine in a good location near abc store, restaurants and not far from the beah. Oscar in reception was very nice and efficient but can't say much about the other checkin staff, I actually found Michael to be very rude and abrasive. They don't go the extra mile. William the porter was very nice and so pleasant and I think he did a very good job, nothing was too much of a problem and he was very polite. I would stay again because of the size of the rooms and the location. The rooms also have a decent size fridge and microwave which is very handy. Very large rooms for Waikiki hotels. Most comfortable beds and good room servicing. Great location with easy access to beach and public transport. No issue with noise at all! Found the front desk/ bell staff not very obliging. Lifts soooo slow. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are clean, but they are infested with huge roaches and when you complain they do nothing for you, not even a return phone call. Stay somewhere else.

We knew about this old hotel, "Coral Reef" under a new name "Aqua Wave". However, the old saying, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it looks the same", applies. It is actually perfect for location, and if you have no car, even better. On a very positive plus note, the rooms are spacious, well designed, and comfortable. A short walk to Kalakaua Avenue […] and the hip expensive areas at your finger tips. Now then.......As to the Front Desk Staff....well.....I would dismiss them all and start over. Waikiki is a competitive market, and this staff lacks every possible aspect of Customer Service. Isaac was the worst Front Desk Representative I have ever met. Mind you, I have flown 4 Miliion Miles, stayed at Hotels in 60 Countries and 480 Cities and accumulated over 2000 nights in hotels, and this was the poorest of service I have seen. I would have left before check in if were not for our need to stay for an important Travel Industry event. Attitude is everything in Hotels, and at check in this was the worst I have ever seen of brand representation. Aqua Wave......do yourself a favor....start over, hire new passionate staff , and regain credibility in a product that is good, but brought down by every one at the Front Desk. Your staff hate what they do, it is tangible from every one I have surveyed. Watch one day from the Lobby discreetly, and see how they mistreat the Customers. As management, you would be embarassed. The only employee that shines was the late night security staff that offered to repark our car, (Since most of your staff took the few spaces available in the underground carpark to park their cars while working), yet after we paid $20 a day. This guy was a best professional of all we met. Reparked our car after the Chef went home, left our keys at Reception, and assured our car was safe. Well done. very updated rooms..i was very impressed by what they had in the rooms for the guests..all was wonderful.the only thing i would have liked was a hospitality suite for an hour to freshen up before going to the airport late afternoon and having checked out by noon..other than that, i will stay here again and again and recommend it to friends

Easy walk to the beach and all the shopping spots. It can be a little loud at nights, but I didn't need ear plugs. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The bed was super comfortable!

Hotel is nice just a few things Very nice people and large rooms with queen beds but the house keeping wasn't done until 3pm or later and most days they forgot to give us towels but brought them right up when we contacted the front desk. The pool was closed but it didn't bother us because the ocean was only a block away

Noise was unbearable even with earplugs. In my view the noise factor was just too much and I would not stay here again. On the other hand if you're going to be part of the noise and sleep all day it's fine. I would then rate it a 4. And to the hotel...sound proofing, vegetation (bamboo) on front roof with water features to mask the noise...or redo the […] windows...or both. Läs mer

The surrounding area was filled with loud music from bars and nightclubs. My room was trembling from the bass sounds at 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. .Also the street noise was also very loud. Not a good hotel for those looking for a quiet night's rest.

Convenient location in Wakiki. Close to beach, restaurants, shopping, bars, etc .... Can be noisy at night due to bars and night clubs near by. Doors are slammed closed rather loudly by guests within the hotel. Could smell cigarette smoke from guests smoking on their balconeys although it is a non-smoking hotel.

Don't miss Kimo playing music in the Lobby on Wednesday's late afternoon. He's awesome!!

We were only in Honolulu for one night and wanted a basic, decent hotel. The Waikiki Wave served our needs perfectly. Restaurants and the beach are within walking distance, the staff was friendly....overall, a good option for a quick overnight.

This hotel is on a very busy street , if you want close to night life this it it. It's so loud you can't sleep with window open, they even give you courtesy earplugs! The hotel is getting old & kind of rundown but service is great. sign is no noticable so it's hard to find while driving

While the Waikiki Wave is not on the beach strip it is close enough to the action and suited us as we had done a a cruise around the islands and had stayed 7 days on Kauii and we were winding down before flying home.

When we go to Hawaii we usually stay in a hotel that is on a somewhat more quliet street, so I were a little concerned about the Aqua Waves location. But our experience could not have been better. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful, the room was large, clean and comfortable. And the noise from the street that I feared never happened. In […] fact the location proved to be great for us because my wilfe likes to shop a the internatinal marketplace and loves a resturant that is only about a block away. Cozy hotel and staff was very nice. Why I chose this hotel was because we had 3 people in our party and they have rooms with 3 Queen beds. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Little noise due to the club next door. Request a room from floor 9 and up to avoid the loud noise. Would go back again for the comfort of the room.

Our stay was good for 7 days. The location is the best so far . For those who complain of the noise it's expected since it's in the busy street close to shops, bars,walking distance to the beach, to Kalakaua, near a church, etc. The staff are very helpful. I will stay again at this hotel if ever will have the chance to go back to Honolulu.

Great hotel to start our Hawaii Vacation!!

We were upgraded to a corner room. brilliant place.

Stayed here for two days on vacation. It's right in the heart of waikiki and the rooms are pretty nice. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean. Would recommend this place to friends. Only bad thing was the concierge wasn't helpful helping find things to do. Besides that, everything was awesome.

We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time. Hotel staffs were friendly and rooms are clean. Maids are very helpful in providing something that we lack. The hotel also hosted afternoon drinks on Wednesday afternoons to provide an opportunity for guests to mingle and know each other as well as have a chance to talk to hotel staffs. Good stuff Aqua. The location is ideal, no more than a few blocks from everything of interest in Waikiki, We have stayed there several times already and been very happy with it.

Having stayed in MANY hotels in Waikiki (25+ trips) I would rate this as an average older Waikiki Hotel. It was clean and tastefully decorated. The beds and bedding were comfortable. It is LOUD at night and the housekeeping gave us 1towel and 1 face cloth each day for 3 people staying there. It was WAY over priced and the lock on our balcony door did […] not work at all. We enjoyed our stay at Aqua Wave. The location was very good and we weren't bothered by any noise except we were opposite the lift and heard it open and close all the time. Housekeeping staff were very good but the porter was abrupt. We arrived at 9am after 22 hours of travel but weren't allowed in to our room until 3pm. Nice room, recently remodeled. Do not recommend for families or older folks. Non-stop partying on the streets til 4am. The ear plugs next to the bed should have been a clue!

The windows are not good enough to keep the street noise out. Well, ear plugs are provided. The pool is too small and kind of dirty.
