Hotell Comfort Inn Butler - Butler

I am writing this letter to inform you of my wife's & my recent stay at the Butler, Pa. Comfort Inn. My wife is from Butler originally, so when we make the trip to visit her relatives, we stay at the Comfort Inn. We have always enjoyed the rooms, the staff, and the continental breakfast provided. We arrived at approximately 6:00 p.m. As my wife entered […] the lobby to check in, she was taken aback by the breakfast area being gone. She joked with the desk clerk on duty about "whoa, what happened." This young lady was not cordial. She never offered an apology or explanation as to what was going on. When my wife inquired as to whether or not the breakfast was offered, the clerk pointed and said, "Down the hall in the meeting room." She was not cordial and had a very blasé attitude. I explained to her that we have stayed there before and that it was a shock to see everything in such disarray. After driving 8 hours, we were tired and did not see the sign on the door with the apology, but did see it the next day. We went to our room with our belongings and were in utter shock! Having to use the bathroom facility immediately, we couldn't believe there was absolutely NO room to close the door while standing. Once seated, there was no room to open the door. We could step into the tub from the toilet and step out of the tub and sit down on the toilet. If someone was having a problem in the bathroom and the door was shut, there was no way to open the door to check on that person. My wife is 5 ft. tall and she could not reach the sink to brush her teeth without bending so far over the sink that it hurt her breasts. The new furniture is beautiful, but is entirely too large for such a small room. There was one waste basket only in the entire room - of course, there was no room for one in the bathroom. Possib ly the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in

Good hotel, but they need to upgrade thier brakfast. Breakfast is just lacking a lot for the price I paid for the room.

Due to a clerical mistake (we booked the room through hotels.com) we got a smoking room. We asked for a room change to a non-smoking one and were assigned a room on the same floor which oddly was partly smoking and partly non-smoking. Despite reassurances from the staff that the room was a non-smoking one, we could barely breathe in the room. Every […] single towel, pillow, sheet, curtains, etc was smelling of smoke. If it were not midnight by then, we would've tried to find another hotel. When we complained about the smell, the staff was sympathetic but either helpless or simply didn't care - the simple explanation was, half the rooms on the floor were smoking, was difficult to get rid of the smoke in entirety. If all you are looking for is a cheap place for a night, it might work for you. But if you are worried about the overall quality, especially air quality, I would not recommend it. We had a very uneasy night and were really happy to check out first thing in the morning. If you like the smoke, breakfast was fine. While the staff was polite, there was only so much they could do. Quite satisfied

Had a very nice stay. The hotel is really nice since it's a newer hotel then most in the area. The only complaint is the hotel pillow are very small and not very comfortable but if you bring your own then you will have no worries.

Very good hotel! Will be great when they start serving their full hot breakfast.

It is a new, clean and nicely run establishment and it is very convenient to Butler and the surrounding area. I would stay there again.

If you are driving through Pennsylvania going North to Canada from D.C. and need a place to stay over night, then the Comfort Inn is just right. The staff is friendly and efficient, the room is clean and the shower is wonderful. However, the bathroom is very small. Staff was really nice and helpful. The pool/gym was open till 11 pm. Hotel is top of a hill- nothing close within walking distance. Was on a shopping trip so for us would have been better to go to Pittsburgh.

The room was comfortable and quiet even though it was nearly full. The service was excellent....front desk, housekeeping, etc. Thought it was a bit overpriced for the location, but I would definitely stay there again.

Room is quite adequate for a one night stay, safe, clean, in good condition, nice breadfast buffet, included free internet. Avoid the room opposite the ice maker, a bit noisy.

There is a hot tub in the room!!! Nice clean place. Waffles in the morning are a nice touch.
