This Hotel surpassed our expectations! The hotel was so close to the airport-city bus shuttle 1 min walk, that we couldn't see it at first! Staff are very friendly the room was great (though we did get upgrade) but friends normal room was just as pleasant. Away from the rabble of temple bar but only 15 minutes walk if want to be there. Great pubs […] with Irish dancing just just around the corner. On the door stop of the shops and a breeze to get to the hotel from the airport even my 75 year old nan found it OK. Loved the hotel. When I arrived (early) they got me right in. The first room was a bit small with only a twin bed (my fault, I should have read the description better) they upgraded me for free. The next room was huge and had a great view of O'Connell street. Everything was within walking distance. The staff was pleasant and courteous. Food in the restaurant […] was very good. I stayed 2 nights at this hotel at the end of my trip to Ireland. I got a good price on the hotel, and overall it was a fine place to stay, but I do have a few complaints. First the positives: The location is wonderful, easy to walk all over the city, and plenty of restaurants and bars close by. I’ve been to Dublin a few times before and never stayed […] north of the river, so I enjoyed the change of scene. Also the bus to the airport is very close by in O’Connell street, which makes getting in and out of the city so convenient. The reception area and bar are nice and well kept. The gym is average, but definitely useable. Now for the problems: basically it can be summed up by saying the hotel is old and you should expect normal issues that you would encounter in an old building. Upon our check in were given a smoking room, which is not what we requested. Our windows were open when we arrived, which was nice to air out the room and cool it down a little (the heat was up too high and we couldn’t turn it down on the thermostat). We went out for dinner, and came back several hours later ready for bed. It was at this point that we discovered we could not shut the windows because the latch was broken. Below us in the corridor was a gang of people shouting and singing and laughing loudly, and there was no way we could have slept through it. We called reception and they demanded to come up and look, not believing it was really broken, and then accused us of breaking the window, once it was determined that it actually wouldn’t close. Eventually we were given keys to a new room. We moved all of our things in to the new room and were settling in when we realized the radiator was making clicking noises that would not stop. It was kind of like a mechanical drip noise every minute or so. It was very late by this point and we were both so tired we did not want to deal with requesting a new room, so I slept restlessly with earplugs, which didn’t drown out the noise completely. The best parts about this hotel were: the location (about a 2-3 block walk from the airport bus drop off) and then easy to walk to downtown sightseeing spots and the early check in. Just as other reviewers had noted, when we came in from international flight at about 11:00 am they had an open room and got us right into it- so appreciated. The downside […] was that we could hear the people through the walls - when our neighbors arrived home at about midnight we could almost hear their entire conversation. In comparison to other places I've stayed in and around Dublin (locations closer to Temple Bar & Trinity College) I think Cassidy's is the best place I've stayed - hands down. Excellent location, while a bit of a walk to Temple Bar it's still a centralized location within easy walking distance and serviced by efficient and continuous bus service to […] all the major tourist attractions without the chaos and noise of Temple Bar. We got an excellent rate for three nights around Halloween weekend through hotels.com. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was larger than I expected, clean, up to date and seemed to be on the newer side. Can't comment on the bar or restaurant as we didn't visit either but otherwise a great reasonably priced spot on the North Side of Dublin. Läs mer

Great location, within walking distance of most sights. Extremely close to the airport bus stop, as well. Like other guests, I was given a room as soon as it was available -- around 9am, which was great after a flight from the U.S.! I was a single, and they upgraded me to a large room facing the back with two beds. Very quiet, although I could see how […] weekends could get noisey with the Dublin party scene. Hotel seems really secure as they lock the door at night and you have to ring after 11pm or so. Maid service was great and unobtrusive; never saw her, but my room was always made up whenever I left. I read all the reviews for a few hotels. I decided on Cassidys because it had a high rating and the price was better than the others. The location was great and the staff was pleasant but our room had some issues. Damaged furniture, stained carpet, dirty walls, and a shower that was tempermental. The shower took at least 20 minutes to become adjustable […] and until then, it was only somewhat warm. We also could hear everyone else's door slam in our hall and the what was worse was we could hear the neighboring room talking (it was perfectly audible) and even coughing. I realize we didn't pay alot, but I would have to say that we overpaid for the quality of the room we had. And we spent minimal time in our room. Next time I would have no problem shelling out at least $50 more just so we have a better hotel than this one. The only plus was the breakfast that was included in the room rate we paid. But even that was somewhat strange. There were lots of choices but the hot food wasn't ever cooked/heated correctly it seemed and the food wasn't that good. Cassidys is an old building about four blocks from the river. Heating/AC is negligible and the old windows allow noise from the neighborhood. The breakfast was excellent.

Room was good sized and comfortable but bedding and rugs need to be replaced. Breakfast was hearty but exactly the same for 3 days. Staff was efficient but not particularly friendly.

NIce room, small but clean except for the teapot, it had some old water in it, but that seems to happen at every other hotel I stay with. Housekeeping rarely checks coffee/teapots?? No water pressure in the shower, that was about the only bummer. Staff was very nice.

Quirky layout, go down a level, across a hallway, and the up to rooms, only entrance & exit was via this process. Rooms are very large for a European city. Recently remodeled. Room was very queit until some rowdy neighbors came in on last night of stay. The hotel is in a good location, on the north end of O'Connell street and close to many public bus lines, tour bus stops, and the Luas light rail. The beds were a bit soft for my taste, but most travelers might prefer that. The room and the overall hotel were clean, if a bit dated. Also, the full Irish breakfast is worth the money for carnivores. Vegetarians […] might want to seek a better value elsewhere, but Dublin (and Ireland in general) can be challenging for vegetarians, anyway. Our three-year-old daughter got along pretty well, too. Cassidy's was a good hotel for the price we paid. The bed was comfortable only on one side and had impressions on the other side of the mattress making it uncomfortable. The room was a little gloomy and dusty and the bathroom was clean and functional. The location is excellent and is close to many city attractions and public transportation.

The Hotel service was great. We arrived very early (0930) and asked to store our bags. They had a room available so they let us check in right away. The only downside was the breakfast buffet got quite busy during certain times and some people had to wait for a table but we never did. Great location, very easy to get around from the hotel.

Everything about the hotel is superb especially its central location in the middle of 'the happening' in the City. The only little setback was, we were given a non-sound-proof Room 233 which is facing the main thoroughfare of the city. Being summer, noise from the street below carried past midnight. Otherwise, its thumb up all the way.

This hotel was in a really good location at the top of 0'connell street, just a 2 min walk from the airlink stop. I arrived at 115 and was able to go straight to my room. I was really impressed with the room, very clean and nice toiletries. Only downside was there was no bath. As i was travelling alone i was expecting a very small room but i got a standard […] double. The veiw wasn't great but was very quiet for a city hotel! Breakfast was ok, i've had better, but for the extra price when booking was worth it as dublin is very expensive. My husband and I love this hotel for 2 reasons: 1- We arrived in Dublin after an overnight flight and were exhausted and sweaty. When we arrived at the hotel at 8am to drop off our luggage, they let us check in!!!! This mad us so incredibly happy because all we wanted to do is take a nap and shower. 2- The location was great! Although it isn't in City […] South and in Temple Bar, is was easy and quick to walk to the main areas and quieter at night. The hotels only faws were: 1- While still quieter than Temple Bar,there was still some street noise on a Saturday at 3am. 2- No air conditioning, and on a July night, it was a bit hot and sticky. IF I WAS GOING BACK TO DUBLIN I WOULDN'T GO LOOKING AT HOTELS I WOULD JUST BOOK CASSIDY'S. I AM SURE THERE ARE OTHER REALLY NICE HOTELS, BUT THIS REPRESENTED EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY, A GOOD LOCATION, COMFORTABLE ROOMS AND GREAT BREAKFAST.

Its and easy walk from Cassidys to the main pub areas of Dublin. Hop on and off bus stops right in front of the hotel. Airport bus is a short 3 block walk. In spite of its central location the rooms were quiet. Huge all you can eat Irish breakfast is included in the price of the room. Breakfast dining room was extremely well run and highly organized. […] Thus no delay getting breakfast so we could manage our flight on time. The hotel has central air conditioning, abundant hot water and adult sized towels and beds. All this contributed to a wonderful Dublin experience. Great location, right at the top of O'Connell's street. I was able to jump on the Bus Tour bus literally right outside the door. Temple Bar is an easy walk away so is Croke Park. Bodies:The Exhibition was right across the street. Very accessible in means of transportation. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet and dinner. Veldig hyggelig og serviceinstilt betjening. Ligger veldig sentralt. Bor der gjerne igjen.

Medarbejder staben er veldig fokuseret på at hjælpe - super service og behagelig atmosfære - ikke sidste gang vi har været på Cassidys

Net hotel, dichtbij het centrum niet te duur, goed ontbijtbuffet.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht im Cassidys während unserer Rundreise, doch insgesamt hat hier alles gepasst. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, nettes Personal, ganz nette Zimmer und ein echt gutes Frühstück. Wer hier ein gutes Angebot im Internet findet, sollte auf jeden Fall zuschlagen, da die Lage unschlagbar ist.

Das Hotel ist so ideal gelegen, dass praktisch alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuss erreichbar sind. In der Nähe des Hotels befindet sich ausserdem die HOP-ON HOP-OFF Station, von der aus man mit dem Doppelstock- Bus bequem Dublin erkunden kann. Ebenfalls innert Kürze erreichbar sind die wunderschönen Einkaufsstrassen, die Liffey und das Post Office […] . Läs mer

Ligger fint til i sentrum av Dublin. Svært god forbildelse til flyplass og jernbane. Utsikt til bakgården er IKKE bra! Ellers et billig og bra hotell..

Cassidy Hotel med god placering tæt på bycentrum med alle de gode pubber. Fin parkering til bil mod betaling.

Hôtel bien situé près du centre de Dublin, sur la ligne de bus de l'aéroport, et bien desservi par des bus à proximité. Gentillesse et professionnalisme du personnel. Petit déjeuner très bien.

tres bel hotel ou nous fumes tres bien acceuillis le personnel est tres sympathique le cadre agreable et la situation geographique dans Dublin bonne car proche de tout et un peu en retrait dons calme en resume c'etait tres bien et à mon prochain passage à Dublin j'y retournerai

Très bon accueil, chaleureux. Hotel splendide et idealement situé au coeur touristique. Nous sommes meme rester diner a l'hotel tellement nous nous y sentions bien: super repas et service irreprochable! En résumé qualité exceptionnel, foncez sans aucun doute.

I have to say that I´m extremly satisfied with Cassidy´s. I expected a "medium" hotel but this hotel has a high standard. The bar is nice and well sorted, the staff is absolutely brilliant and serviceminded. The rooms are very comfortable (seriously, I wanna know where to get one of those beds). Værelset var dejligt stort eftersom jeg boede på et enkeltværelse og havde en lille dobbeltseng, skrivebord, lille kaffebord og tre stole. Beliggenheden var superb i forhold til restauranter, pubs og ikke mindst shopping. Derudover er der fri adgang til deres fitness suite, samt frit internet. Stikkene på værelset er anderledes fra Danmark, men det […] kan man låne mod depositum i receptionen. Hotellet ligger rigtigt godt tæt ved centrum. Det var dog ret slidte lokaler, men rent. Det besværligt mht parkering da der ingen pladser var ved hotellet. Der manglede en minibar på værelset. Det var et ok hotel til en god pris
