Good hotel, maybe not 5 star all through but quite good. Excellent breakfast.

Mycket fint exklusivt hotel i barcelona. Trevlig personal och bra service. Väldigt bra frukost buffé. Dock lite långt att promenera till la rambla ca 35 min

It's a nice hotel with very clean rooms. Breakfast is HUGE, but also very expensive. If you're not into gluttony first thing in the morning, don't get the breakfast in the hotel and grab a coffee and croissant at one of the cafes near by. The reception staff behind the desk were not accomodating or helpful. The hotel rooms were very nice. I would not stay there again

For a European hotel I'm sure this is a five star hotel. Rooms are smaller than 5 star hotels in the US but the service was very good. The breakfast was incredible...great meats and cheeses, fantastic patries, and pretty much what ever you want even wine and Cava. Quality was five star. Hotel was ok, but it took over an hour to get our room, because i had requested a room in quiet area of the hotel and they said they only had one room left and it was in front of a service area and constant noise. After talking with the manager, he finally found us a room in a quiet area and it was saftisfactory. The MELIA Staff was accmmodating eventually,but initially tried to give me the last available room in the hotel [330 rooms]in a noisy area. I specified quiet area of hotel. After 30 minutes of negotiation,they suddenly found another room away from the traffic area. We stayed at another hotel closer to the Diagonal Mar area that was cheaper and really […] nicer. It was hot and humid in Barcelona but this hotel was cool, comfortable and clean. We did not eat there as we were visiting family. It is not close to the Metro but taxis were reasonable, at around €6 to €8 from Plza Catalunya. A very pleasant stay.

This hotel is more than half a mile to any subway station which is frustrating because it is not near any tourist destination. Anyone expecting US-style 5 star accommadations will be very disappointed. We are a huge fan of ME Cancun (a Melia hotel). This hotel is not to be confused with that hotel.

Went to Barcelona for a weekend break arriving at 10.45 Friday evening. Checked in smoothly and as we had upgraded to the level - a nicer room on the 16th floor which included access to the steam room, sauna, pool etc and a room which had all day snacks and drinks, decided to have a drink there first. This was an incredible hotel- clean, comfortable, helpful- great customer service! We actually needed medical help when we got there and they had a doctor who would come to us at the hotel, saving us a scary visit to an emergency room late at night! This hotel is very nice and modern. Remember to get someone to explain the elevators to you. I did enjoy my stay. However, if you are a light sleeper this may not be the hotel for you. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear people in the other rooms or out in the hall. We have just returned from Easter break Barcelona , stayed in the Hotel Melia a modern hotel with nice rooms great views, flat screen TVs, power showers, good gym, etc. However, in broad daylight and just 200 metres from the Hotel Melia, on Avinguda Josep Tarradellas, my wallet was stolen with all my cash and credit cards. Hotel staff were sympathetic […] and gave us a complementary late check-out the next day (we were too afraid to leave the hotel with our money/passports). However, the Hotel Melia should do more to warn guests not to walk in this area, especially when it is quiet. We had to go to the police station (5 minutes walk) later on but I didn't feel at all safe evening walking down there. So if you are coming or going from the Hotel Melia, please use a taxi. Barcelona is a nice city to look at ..some beautiful buildings and that but it truly is a city of lowlives where you are always worried about being robbed. I was initially impression with Melia Barcelona hotel when I walked through the revolving door into the lobby. I was greeted by friendly door men who took my bags while I checked-in. The front desk service reps were professional and the process went smoothly. I was especially impressed with my room. It was clean, compfortable, spacious, and had a great […] view of the city. Das Hotel ist super, günstig für so ein schönes 5 Sterne Hotel. Wirklich nur zum weiter empfehlen!

L'hôtel était excellent, la qualité irréprochable, mais le prix du petit déjeuner était prohibitif - ce qui est ridicule, parce qu'un croissant et un café à deux pas coûtait trois fois moins cher, et nous ne nous en sommes pas privés

Flot design og indretning..

Dette er et supert hotell for de som ønsker et rolig og komfortabelt opphold. Spesielt frokosten må nevnes som ekstra lekker; den var bare helt fantastisk. Likte også interiøret og designet på rommene. Eneste minus er at beliggenheten er litt langt nord for sentrum og at det i tillegg er litt langt å gå til nærmeste metro-stasjon.

un séjour agréable à l'hotel mélia, personnels acceuillant, petit déjeuné bien complet, les chambres sont confortables (clim, grande salle de bain). les inconvéniants: le parking de l'hotel trés coûteux (50 euros pour 30 heures) mais possibilité de se garer dans les alentours. Hôtel confortable, la suite que nous occupions était confortabe et agréable.

Jeg pg min samboer bodde på hotellet en uke og storkoste oss. Det er ikke noe spesielt billig hotell, men vi var tidlig ute og fikk litt rabatter. Det er flott hotell med gode fasiliteter. Et sparom hvor man betaler 8 euro for å benytte seg av per dag. Deilig etter en lang dag! Vi bestilte også massasje. Hotellet ligger relativt sentralt med gode […] forhold til buss, tram og metro. Kjøp en T10 billett som er det samme som et klippekort. Rommet var litt trangt, men helt greit. Det var steamdusj der, men på grunn av lavt vanntrykk fungerte den dårlig og man måtte holde dusjhode. Det var litt minus. Frokosten buffeen hadde alt fra tapas til sushi, pannakaker og vaffler, kokk som lagde egg og omelett på bestilling, varm mat og kald mat og alt av drikke. Til og med cava og hvitvin. Vi koste oss så til frokosten at vi ikke spiste lunsj noen av dagene. Middag på hotellet er dyr og fancy. Små porsjoner, men meget gode. Hotellet er flott hvis du liker litt luksus og får det litt rimeligere. Vi kunne gjerne reist tilbake, men vi liker å oppleve nye ting også. Läs mer

chambre bien equipé mais l'isolation phonique de l'exterieur est tres legere, double vitrage mais les fenetres ferment mal et on entend enormement les voitures heureusement nous avons pu changer de chambre car la 1ere etait encore moins bien isoler ne pas venir en 4x4 leur parking est trop petit il faut se garer sur d'autres parkings à coté.
