This property is the best one for staying on the beach near St. Augustine. The staff are so warm and friendly and there to help in any way needed. The property is very well kept. On Friday 5/3 the water/sewer system failed and the hotel failed to inform guest in timely mannner ..I had extended my stay due to the weather and business conference. The hotel did not offer any guest incentives.

It was very nice and clean the only was the TV remote did not work and some amenities we had to ask for. The breakfast was okay. They had egg bagel sandwich instead of scramble eggs and bacon.

Average hotel at best. We had a beachside view, which was nice; however, one bed's mattress was wornout (we kept sliding to the middle), refrigerator was very loud (unplugged it at night) and breakfast was just ok. We were on 3rd floor and pipes made loud dripping sound whenever room about us ran water. IMO, rooms are overpriced (especially this time […] of year) for what hotel has to offer. hotel was picture perfect except for one thing, our room was right next to the elevators and the maid service area which is tile floors(heard carts rolling around at 8AM). Wouldn't be a problem if they would start cleaning bout 10 am but i know that's not possible. Next time we will be getting a room that's not 5 steps from the elevator. We were a little surprised at the condition of the property. We fought to get the door open as it scraped on the floor so bad you had to put a shoulder to it. The shower head was broken and the sofa bed was so worn that you could not sit on it.

I would rate it straight 5's except for the noise generated by neighboring rooms with jacuzzi tubs. Pretty noisy! However, the tub itself is great, as was the ocean view, the room, the desk, etc. GREAT location.

My husband stayed in this hotel and took a street side room since it was jsut an overnight stay. When we looked at the ocean side rooms we realized that's what we would be booking next time. We havejust booked the oceanside King suite for 2 nights and can't wait. Hope weather is sunny....,

We very much appreciate Hampton Inn's amenities -- free WiFi, free breakfast, the assurance of clean duvet covers and sheets, etc. -- all at a reasonable price point. This particular hotel is right on the ocean front. We had a good stay.

Great hotel front staff was really nice. We asked for a late check out and they actually gave us till 1 and we actually left before 11 cause my husband had to go to work. Breakfast was good. Very nice place and definitely would stay again and would like to stay longer. Would be great for a romantic getaway!

Arrived at 4:15, several people waiting to get checked into rooms, as rooms were not ready yet. When we did finally get to our room, first thing we noted was cleaning items left in the bathroom. Additionally, cigarette butts on our ocean view balcony. Finally, when we sat on the bed we noticed it seemed very crooked. We contacted the front desk and […] they immediately came to fix the bed. I booked a jetted hotub room. It was really nice. Great access to a very wide beach. The bed was very comfy. Best coffee I had in Florida, in a hotel. Only issue I had was about 10 pm there was a fairly loud machine noise in my room and the hallway. I tried to call the front desk but they were not answering. It stopped after after 7,8 minutes.

We loved staying at the Hampton Inn @ St. Augustine Beach, Fl. Nicole at the front desk was very friendly and we were given a lovely room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Unfortunately, because of recent beach renovations, you couldn't walk to the water; there was a 6 foot drop off. Having stayed here before, I was really shocked. However, someone […] had created a sand slide to get down and we used that and then walked down the beach to get back up to street level. This is one of the most beautiful beaches around. The local restaurants are delicious and priced well and this hotel is a short drive to the Historic District, the Bridge of Lions and several other tourist attractions. We stayed at the Hampton Inn because it was close to the beach and I have stayed at Hampton Inns before and always had a great stay. Well the stay was great here as well once we got checked in. The check in process took over 3 to 4 hours because they were renovating all the rooms on the 3rd floor and our rooms were on the 3rd floor. I had called the […] night before to make sure that they had our reservation because we had booked 2 King whirlpool suites and had requested the 3rd or 4th floors and also that our rooms be on the same floor, they never said anything about renovating the rooms, they only said that our room reservation was confirmed. We got to the hotel at 3:30pm and they said that check in wasn't until 4 and that our rooms were not ready but would be ready in 30 minutes. Well 30 minutes turned into 1 hour, then 2 hours and so on. We kept going up to the desk and asking why other people were coming in and getting rooms and they said that their rooms were ready but ours were not. We said we would take any room on any floor because we were tired of waiting and had traveled all day with a 3 year old who was pretty patient until he started getting tired and hungry but all they kept saying was that we had to wait for these particular 2 rooms that they were renovating. It all did not make any sense, we were so upset and tired, we finally went to dinner around 6:30pm across the street and when we got back around 8:30 our rooms were finally ready. Läs mer

The WI-FI signal in the room was extremely weak. Was pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the room and a large dorm fridge included. Hotel rooms still felt a little "old" although they had put some effort into freshening them up.

A extended weekend away with my wife. This was the updated room with ocean view and in room Jacuzzi. Very comfy bed, very nice view of the beach, very convenient to a great restaurant across the street. Only negative is that the place is a bit noisy with lots of hallway chatting and slamming doors. Would go back again but sure wish housekeeping would learn to read the do not disturb sign. Clean.. yes, nice staff... yes, but our room was by the stairs which means you hear everyone running up and down, locks were being changed on the doors so we had to listen to drills all day, room smelled of cigarrettes.
