Hotel was in a great location near the Berri UQAM Metro. Easy to get to Old Montreal and the Crescent St. and McGill areas & St. Denis. Croissants, bread and coffee/tea are delivered to your room if you wish in the morning. It was very hot when we arrived and the air conditioner was very small and did not cool down the room at all after two days. Either […] there were not enough BTUs or the air conditioner was too old to work properly. It also made noise like a jet taking off which made it hard to sleep. The room was fairly small but there was a fridge. The bathtub was scratched and the tile in the shower needs to be replaced. Some upgrades would make this a much more comfortable place to stay. I went because of location price and the emphasis on bi lingual multicultural openness. As a non French speaker I was kind of nervous. The people were great! The basic breakfast delivered at my preferred time was basic, but sooo nice! The neighborhood is the gay area, but who cares, everyone was so nice and location was prime. Convenient location... close to metro & bus station... only 4 metro stops from train station. EXCELLENT staff... very impressed with the customer service. Comfortable room. Bed was firm. Simple decor. Bathroom a bit outdated, but clean. Good value for the money. Would stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Le St Andre. It was within walking distance of everything I want to see. The room was very clean and you can't beat the free continental breakfast served to you in your room! I will be back!

This was my second stay at the Hotel Le St Andre and once again I found it to be a perfect fit for my needs at a more than reasonable rate. The staff are all very pleasant and most accommidating. They even suggested to me where to go to find the most secure and least expensive parking within walking distance of the Hotel. Service: was great, everybody was very friendly. Condition of the hotel: old, small rooms, you can hear what's going on in the rooms beside you/hallway, bed's are too small, washroom was clean. Location: walking distance to down town.

This Hotel is Close to a Lot of Interesting things to see. We stayed here because the Hotel we wanted was booked. I would stayed here again, but only if there were no other Hotels in the area. The Staff is Very Friendly, and Helpful. They're also Bilingual, and eager to assist. The downside is that the Rooms we stayed in, although Clean. Were not Modern. […] No Large, Flat LCD screens or Fancy Beds. The Hotel could use a Major Investment to Upgrades. But, everything does work! Plus, we were surprised that they actually Delivered our Continental Breakfast to our Rooms. And it was Good and Fresh! The Hotel has no Parking of its own. The hotel is centrally located on St. Catherine street and great space for exploring and enjoying the area. The staff was really friendly and helpful with local resources such as parking. The room was fair condition. The bed was comfortable, however, I think the room could have used a little better cleaning.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful when asking info for tourist landmarks. The room was clean, perfectly warm and there was a thermostat so you could adjust it. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and well illuminated; but only the hot water took a while to heat (probably because of the old building). I loved the breakfast delivered to the room every morning at the time I asked. The room was clean and tidy every day when I returned at night. The location is perhaps the best, just 2 blocks from the Berri Metro Station and one block from two 24 hour open big pharmacies where you can get anything you need, and I think about 4 blocks from the bus terminal. When all other hotels were over $100...This was a DEAL! Freshly painted room. Clean sheets. The mattress was newer, but too firm for my taste (not their problem). Cordial (not convivial) staff. The hotel says free parking but there is not, you have to get up at 6 to move your car or get a expensive ticket from the city. Also bring soap, every time they clean our room there wasnt any soap. The location is not too bad, do not leave any values in the car, there are junkies around who love to smash car windows. The hotel is very old and unkempt. Room was small and in bad shape. Parking was free but in an unprotected lot. Breakfast was included but not good. we skipped it altogether. With same price or a little more, much better options are available in nearby hotels.

I got this place at an unheard of cheap price for a non-hostel environment (no bunk bed, no shared bathroom etc.) through Expedia's unpublished section. Minor issues with the room: blinds a bit beat up and a bit of rust on the electric heater cover in the bathroom. […] Overall much better than I expected for this price and to me the most important things were there there: a clean bathroom and a clean room in general that is in good condition. Only two blocks to the Berri-UQAM Metro station so easy to get anywhere in Montreal. Serve nice continental breakfast brought right to your room. Free parking available in a limited-sized lot so get there early. Could use a little upgrade in room furniture, lighting and TV. WiFi worked reasonably well.

Great location but not worth the money. While the location is fantastic, this hotel is definitely not worth the rate we paid. The staff were very friendly but the condition of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. A fresh coat of paint is needed everywhere as are new carpets. Went for 3 nights to this hotel. Cleanliness of the room was disappointing - there were someone's hairs on the pillows, although covers looked ironed, lots of stains on the floor everywhere, and condition of the room leaves much more to desire. Guy at the reception kindly offered us another room (smoking one), and we couldn't stay 5 mins there, so just […] simply exchanged pillows with our first room (no one was in the hotel to change the bed dressing at 11pm). Breakfast is awful, nothing eatable, and coffee is junk. Parking is a plus - saves about $10-15 per day, few slots almost always are available. But be careful entering, must have some tight parking experience. Another plus - is 5 mins to the metro, which takes you to any place in the city. And their wifi works really great all over the hotel. Overall, except for parking, location, and friendliness of the staff the hotel is very bad, I wouldn't go there next time. Läs mer

It's true, as I read in other reviews, that the rooms are very small and the walls are thin. But the location is great and the staff is very friendly. I recommend this hotel if you're going to spend most of your time out and about in the city - not in the hotel. As a place to crash, it's cute, clean, and friendly.
