The hotel is okay, it is convenient to downtown. It is old and therefore doesn't have the modern amenities." Breakfast "was a disappointment, and no coffee pot. However for the price it is fine.

As a graduate student every penny counts especially if you're unemployed. The EconoLodge was $64 for a queen and $74 for a double and I stayed in both in two days. It is located .62 miles away from the Sacramento Convention Center which was walking distance, so I did not to pay for parking. The owners were kind enough to print out two maps for two places […] I needed to go to and on the second day they allowed me to leave my car parked there after checkout into the evening. The hotel is located a few blocks from the Heavenly village, where you can find food, stores and some places to hang out It's an old place but kept updated as much as it can

was a comfortable stay for the price yet was not as close to the train station as I hoped! When I travel to Sacramento in the future I'll have who I'm meeting get my room and relax till I arrive!

We stayed for the Easyrider Bike Show at the convention center. It was only 3 blocks away (walking distance), so the location was very convenient. And we just needed a place to lay our heads. For the price we paid (lowest around), it was a nice stay. Heater worked great (temps were in the 20's) and kept us very warm. Nothing special but no roaches. Parking lot is small and in bad shape every spot floods up in rain. Cable didn't work channel guide was wrong. Only one light worked in room none of the lamps by the bed worked

The stay wasn't too bad. The price was too high for that quality and service. We found a drug pipe the the room. The room had a urine smell.. the bed sheets are sprayed with febreeze... and I was waiting to leave I seen a cleaner just shake the bed sheet n switch over.. that is gross... did I just slept in a dirty bed? I will never go there again.

There is nothing fancy about this hotel and the condition of the rooms and building are a bit worn. That said, everything worked for my basic needs: the room was clean; it was relatively quiet; the staff was friendly and helpful and most of all it was inexpensive for a hotel in the heart of Downtown. Everything that is except one thing - they use some […] sort of air freshener on steroids in the rooms. The smell was so strong, I could smell it before opening the door. Once I walked in it was overpowering to the point of being a slight irritant to my eyes and throat. To be fair, I am a but sensitive, but I looked at other reviews and saw mention of it and have never experienced it in other hotels. If the managers read these reviews: Please fire whichever vendor is selling you that stuff. You have a good bare bones motel that I would stay at regularly when in Sacramento for business, but that scent kills it for me and knocks a star from my review. Läs mer

This hotel does not cost what I paid for it Everything is way outdated there is no ventilation in the bath room ! It smelled awful and the smell did not go away ! The TV was off color and was showing double the blankets were pretty disgusting . Great location. We cabbed to a great Jazz club/bar/restaurant downtown called The Shady Lady. Then walked back to the hotel, stopping at bars and clubs on the way, and also stopped at the Capitol Rose Garden on the way to smell the roses. Other reviews complained about the shady people walking around. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary for […] a major city. Ice machine was not free. Water vending machine was stocked as far as I could tell. Worst part of my stay: The carpets were dirty and had some major stains. Felt gross walking in the room bare foot. Our bathroom view was looking at the building next door, what appeared to be apartment bathroom windows (saw shampoo bottles etc on the window sills). The shower had two settings, jet spray and spray all over except on your body spray. I selected jet spray. Sheets were clean, bed was comfortable. Would I stay here again? We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I needed somewhere close to the theater, within walking distance of some bars & with no frills or expense - this was it. It was clean, easy to find, convenient parking, the beds were comfortable and the service friendly.

The first thing that stood out to me was how aweful the bathroom was. The tub was in horrible shape, huge chunks & chips missing from the enamel, the safety handrail was all scarred up with screws coming out. Several of the light switch plates were broken or cracked. Honestly, I think that this hotel is great if you plan on oly using it for sleeping. The beds were extremely clean and so was the shower. It was SO convienent to everything in downtown. We had tickets for an event at the Memorial Auditorium. This place was less expensive than the other downtown hotels so our expectations were not high. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, friendly service and convenience of this motel. There was even a mini-fridge in the room!

Standard rooms, but very clean. I enjoyed the nonsmoking attmosphere. Close to the Conference Center, so I could walk to the conference each day and saved on parking. Very affordable price.

Econo Lodge is very budget. My room had a very bad smell and wasn't extremely clean. It seemed old and didn't have a good desk if one needed to work. Breakfast was extremely meager and there was no where to sit so I had to take my toast back to the hotel room. I stayed 1 night for a conference the next day at the Sacramento Convention Center. Everything in the room was clean and in good working order. The room temperature was comfortable. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which was enough for me as I was not planning to spend money at a restaurant. If you want something more than the pastries/bread/toast […] and fruit offered at the continental breakfast, you can bring your own food. Even though I checked out of the hotel at 7:30 am, the hotel staff let me keep my car in their parking lot until my conference was out at 5pm. It was only a few blocks to the convention center. The people who run it are VERY nice. It is a bare bones hotel. Mostly, it is adequate, but Saturday nights are hellish. I have stayed there twice on a Saturday night (I'm there for business) and both times it was awful. Loud. Screaming. Partying. Running up and down. Honking horns. Swearing. Doors slamming. Totally awful. The second Saturday night was […] worse than the first time. The people do not answer the front desk phone late at night. I had to call from an outside line and even then, it only quieted down for 30 minutes before it started all over again. The hotel is comfortable with good amenities: breakfast, free parking, refrigerator. I'd stay here again next year. It's close to my running event and restaurants. The front desk person was very pleasant and friendly, so were the housekeepers. The rates were very good.

I recently stayed here while I was in Sacramento for the Cal International Marathon. All I cared about was a clean room with a functional bed & reasonably good service close to the start & didn't want to spend a lot of money, & the Econo Lodge delivered. The people at the front desk were super friendly & helpful. No, the room is nothing fancy, but […] it was clean & well-maintained & served the purpose. I ended up checking out about an hour late, & although I'd been told when I called the week before that there was a $20 / hour late check out fee (which I was fine with, considering what I paid to begin with), they didn't charge me at all.
