This was not a well maintained hotel. The room smelled musty. The pool water solders to be well past due for a cleaning and was cold. Sat down on the bed and the headboard fell off the wall revealing that it had been attached with a few drywall screws in the past that all managed to miss anything solid in the wall. This property was a 1 Star property on its' best day. The room was from 1980; the comfort level sub-par. No quesion that this was a case of "you get what you pay for". I wouldn't visit this property again.

Short stay. Room was not bad Could use some updating (lightening up). TV remote did not work.

The room we stayed in was very musty almost smoky smelling. We had specifically requested a no smoking room. Had to sleep all night with the windows open to air it out. Not that it was the hotel's fault but a train came through at 6am and blared it's horn for over 15 min. Hotel was a decent price and the waffles in the morning were good.

It was clean, handy, and personal were great. I had two problems they gave away my one queen bed. and I had to update to a king. The second problem was the same I reserved the room as I checked out to be back onTuesday the 20th late and they gave my first floor room away again. I had to update again, plus no soft pillows. Keep in mind that there is no elevator, if you have trouble with stairs. This place would've been ok, but the front desk girl was very rude. We don't do well with bad customer service.

Very uncomfortable beds, couldn't sleep, woke up with a severe backache, also horrible pillows. Staff was very unfriendly. Pool didn't open until 9 a.m. when check out was 11 a.m. Should be earlier

dirty pool, dirty spa, dirty room, sauna was not functioning they used it for tool storage. Our friends stayed there too and had bug bites. We'll never stay again and neither will they. Very disappointed.

booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room at check in. they said that the smoking room was the last room and since it was paid for we had to suffer in the smokey room. when I book a non-smoking room I expect to get a non-smoking room.

Affordable and clean, nothing fancy. Was a busy night when we stayed but did not have noise problems or run out of food in the morning at the continental breakfast.

The promised sauna doesn't even work. The breakfast was sad, esspecially the "dining room" itsself. The hallways stink so bad after smoke. We were not happy at all!

This hotel was dirty, the shower had mold in it, the shower curtain was dirty. When I requested towles they didn't have any clean ones. When i recieved them one was dirty. They gave me a different room then requested. The breakfast didn't have any choises ffor my children.

The motel was clean, but smelled of cigarette smoke in most of the halls and guest rooms. I booked a no smoking room because I have allergies and so do my children. My no smoking room did not have a sign on the door, but many down the hallway did. When I asked about this I was told all the rooms were now "No Smoking". I was shocked to see a person standing […] in the door of the room next to mine puffing away on a cigarette and was told it could not be enforced because of no sign on his door either. I took my allergy meds and opened a window for fresh air! If it weren't so late, I would have looked for another motel or hotel. Good breakfast, nice pool, free wifi and cable. We had a room right above the pool. One night they were so noisy at the pool until 11pm, we couldn't even hear out t.v. Other than that its was great for the price

Staff brought in a portable heater when we reported the room heater did not work.

This hotel was good at first glance, but after staying there I wouldn't recommend it for the money. The air conditioner cycled on and off constantly, the bedspread was gross and in the morning we went down to have our "free breakfast" and literally couldn't get to the coffee because of the waffle maker being in the way. This hotel was convenient for going to the Canterbury race track and Mystic Lake Casino. The rate was good and the room appeared fairly clean. The only issue I had was that the room was very noisy. It was loud when other guests on the floor above us walked around their room.

We stopped at the hotel late morning to check on our reservation and our room was ready so they checked us in. The office staff was very helpful in planning our day and gave us helpful cost saving tips for our trip. The hot tub was dirty and the pool closes early, but the pool area was clean. Hotel was pretty much what I expected. I was a little annoyed that they put me in a smoking room when I requested non-smoking. The smell wasn't too bad, although I did wake up with a headache- - not sure if that was from the smoke smell or the drinking from the night before. Overall, I'd stay there again. Definitely a no-frills stay.

Pool & hot tub were basic but in good condition. Nothing great but my kids enjoyed it. Stayed in a room with 2 beds. Room was a little small but clean & comfortable. Overall, a good stay. Nothing to get excited about, but a good place to stay if you are not spending a lot of time at the hotel. Price was great for what you got. Good location.

The staff was not helpful; especially when breakfast was going on. They acted like they have never worked there before. Only a couple people down for breakfast and still no plates or milk. I asked the woman in the front desk and she basically did nothing. I went to purchase amusment park tickets and they were cheaper next door at the Best Western and […] we weren't even staying there! everything about this hotel was perfect for us. We needed a cheaper place to stay and the hotel room was worth way more than what we paid. It has a great location. Very close to Valleyfair. Overall this hotel was amazing!

This hotel had poor service at the front desk. The room was just tolerable. We needed to call maintenance 5 times for toilet repairs. Major updates and revisions are needed.

We had reserved a non-smoking room but the room first given to us smelled like a well used ashtray. We asked the person who signed us in if we could possibly have another room. She was very accommodating and took us to another non-smoking room. This room was terribly musty smelling and she said she wouldn't stay in this room so she took us to another […] room. Thankfully, it had little odor to is. Also, the one thing that surprised us most was that the side door from the parking lot was always unlocked. At other hotels, you used your key card to get in. Picked hotel for quick stay. Was what i would expect for the money. breakfast consisted of convenience store quality cupcakes and rolls. Room was quiet and a decent enough size. Nothing special about the room or the beds. Was easy to find, easy to access area attractions.
