Hotell Days Inn West - Nashville

The hotel was only "okay" and quite far from the downtown area and music venues. Since that is why we were there, it was a bit disappointing. We really didn't want to have to drive and find parking every time we went anywhere downtown. When we return to Nashville we will find other accommodations.

It was a good hotel for a place to sleep.

This hotel is quite old and really shows. The room in general was clean but because of the condition of the room it did not feel clean. The curtains had small holes in them, the bead spread had cigarette burns (this was a non-smoking room), and the carpet was ragged.

The stairs were in bad repair and we were on the second floor. Also stated that they had coffee in the lobby all of the time and when we checked in and asked we were told we had coffee in our room. There was a pack of decaf and regular coffee that made 8 oz. Not what we expected by looking on line

A much older hotel than most Days Inn's. Neighborhood questionable - would not stay there by myself. The "continental breakfast" consisted of not much more than granola bars. Coffee was out by the time we got there (8:30am)!

The agent who sold us the booking gave inaccurate information about the facilities available and with the inflexible cancellation policy we were stuck. It did not leave us with a good impression of hotel.com or the Motel. Breakfast was a joke!!!

This property at first seemed a little out of the way, but it was convenient to us, so we went with it. Soon, we realized that we were very close to most of what we wanted to do or see while in Nashville, and situated in a way that was easy to get to most of the roads or interstates we needed. Clean room, good management. Good price.

Easy to book online with Hotels.com, however, the customer service is terrible. Received mixed and incorrect information from staff about the hotel and the manager was extremely unfriendly and unwilling to assist with any special needs. Walls are thin and was put next to a family with several noisy kids. I will definitely never stay here again.

Neighborhood old. Exterior of hotel needs some maintenance but room was fine and beds were very comfortable.

"Worn" is the best adjective to describe the facility. The rooms are typical older motel rooms with few amenities. The continental breakfast was (Sam's) bagels, cold cereal and bananas - bare bones.

You have to understand that this was THE best rate that I found... like, less than half of what the other hotel I was looking at cost. With that in consideration, it would not be fair to expect more from this hotel. It is older, but they work to keep in clean, and everything went smoothly. I would not have tried to take someone back to this hotel, because […] it is not what you'd call "impressive." But they keep up their end of the bargain, and it was fine, really. Good hot water, comfortable bed, lights all worked, door locked, I was able to get an extra key at no charge, a newspaper if I'd wanted one. The only gripe I had is that their spot on Google Maps turned out to be about a mile and a half further up the road than they were (address was accurate). As it happened, that would have been a mile and a half closer to everything I wanted to be near. They should fix that, because it seems a little tricky, but probably isn't their fault. Maybe. We were in town for a concert at the Exit/In (fantastic venue) and needed a cheaper alternative to the hotels within walking distance. The Days Inn West was half the price of the closer hotels. Cab ride to the Exit/In was about $15 and our room was basic but clean. I booked via my phone because of a rushed trip up to Vandy to see my son. I wanted something close to Vandy but more affordable. MISTAKE!!! The room was filthy. Visible dirt and grim on bathroom floor. It was a non smoking room that wreaked of cigarette smoke. The air unit was either freezing or off. I was looking for a reasonable hotel close to Vanderbilt University because we had tickets to the U2 concert. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Very basic.

Not the Ritz but basically clean and confortable. Was close to Destination, Belle Meade and eats and close enought to the downtown area for weekend entertainment.

I rented two rooms 1 for me and one for friends. When I noticed that the clock radio didn't work correctly I tried to call the office for a wake up call but the phone did not work. ( cord was gone). I texted my friends to wake me up and discovered had to work on their tv before they could use it. Not exactly a great experience.

This was a dingy and dirty hotel. I wouldn't stay here again. We were in a non-smoking room, but found cigarette burns in the curtains (not one or two, but at least ten), the comforter, and the sheets. The bed was uncomfortable and there was hair in the drain of the bathroom before we used it. Gross. The hotel also needs a renovation in general. Everything […] was worn out. I am not a snob when it comes to hotels, I go budget all of the time, but I have a line and this Days Inn crossed it. The only reason it got 2 stars was the staff at the front desk. This hotel was very clean and comfortable. I received a great deal on the rates. It was the perfect location for the event we attended. The staff provided us with great customer service. I would stay there again in the near future.

Friendly staff, clean room although a bit musty smell in bathroom and close to Vanderbilt University.

This hotel was WAY over priced for the comfort/condition of the room. All of my clothing smelled when I checked out of the room.

Gross unmaintained mold and a poor location all add up to STAY AWAY!

I stayed here for 2 nights and was looking for something inexpensive, but in a decent area. I think this hotel is fine for someone just looking for a place to stay when no real amentities are needed. The breakfast wasn't the best, but I was able to grab a snack bar and be on my way. I would recommend this to others.

Hotel was convenient to the freeway, reasonably clean and in decent shape. The bed was relatively new, but very poor quality. If you like a VERY firm mattress, you will love this hotel.

The hotel was to be expected for the price. Surrounding area noisy. Heat limit on shower water, so shower was not hot enough for me.

i was str8, i wasnt mess up bout it. It was my 1st hotel, i stayed n 4yrs, since high school. But everything was nice. Close 2 downtown, all da food restaurant n 1 area, and its real quiet.

Everything is fine. Clean room, hot water, good service. The only issue was their bath towels. they seems have been used many times.

Two words: Pleasantly suprised... The reviews I had read were varied in opinions. Yes, the area it was in was older. Yes, it looked a little rough on the outside. Yes, the reception & continental breakfast area were extremely small. Yes, the parking lot was challenging because of the limited space. But the receptionist was congenial & our rooms/beds […] were clean & inviting. Hot water in the tub/shower. All appliances were clean & in working order. Breakfast, though not sumptious, was satisfying. Considering the price & the convenience to our area of interest it was an economically sound choice. Overall it was a very nice stay. Check in went very smooth, things went downhill from there. The parking spaces were all very narrow, not even enough room to park my small car and then be able to open both doors. Had to shoulder block the door of the room to get it open. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it smelled like smoke and there were several cigarette burns in […] the blankets. The bottom two inches of the bathroom door was broken off .... no idea what happened there ! The deadbolt would not lock and the swing lock had been broken and repaired, looked like someone had forced thier way in at one time. The room was clean. My sister and I stayed 3 nights, and it was cleaned every day, fresh towels, new toiletries. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast left something to be desired, but I don't always count on complimentary breakfasts. I would likely stay here again, if the need arose.

the hotel was fine with me. the owner was very professional. it was clean enough for me to sleep there and take a shower. two most important things for me. easy access to hospital which is why i stayed there. not even 7 min. people may complain, but with this you get what you pay for and rooms aren't expensive so don't think your rooms should have that […] look. also i want to say my GPs had no signal but believe me when i called the hotel hysterical the owner was perfecto on handling me. will go back for sure. After driving for 5 hours we wanted our rooms to be ready and clean, we got just that. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The price was just right and the location was just what we wanted. The walls are a little thin for the noise but I would stay at this location again!

very pleasant stay ...comfort was great and cleanliness was very good...location was wonderful and made our travel less strerssful... the room had all our needs ...continental breakfast and room service were great ..when we left the room on the second day of our stay and came back that afternoon , the room was clean as a pin ... /thanks hotel.com for […] the help with the discounted rate... We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. Breakfast was your basic continental, but everything was fine. Terrific hotel for the money. will definitely stay there again

Room was very nice and very clean with an added bonus of a smal refrigerator and coffee pot. Breakfast was good with a selection of fruit, cereal, danish or bagel and cream cheese, milk and coffee. The staff were friendly especially when we discovered we had forgotten something. Overall enjoyable experience. We would stay there again.

This hotel was clean, but old and in need of updates. The neighborhood was not the best. Parking was a mess. The manger was very helpful, though.
