Ett bra övernattningshotell på gångavstånd från Gare du Nord. Mycket avskalad och stilren design. Ingen på hotellet visste varför det hette Suede. Tyckte dock inte att designen kändes särskilt svensk. Rent och fräscht på de små rummen, men kände en viss lukt av mögel och klor. Överraskande tyst på rummet, när man väl stängt fönstret, trots all trafik […] på gatan. Enkel frukost i det spartanskt inredda frukostrummet för 8 Euro. Rent och fräscht, men väldigt små rum och spartansk frukost.

Behövde ett rum för natten då flygtiderna inte stämde för mig. Byggstök i receptionen men rummet var nyrenoverat och fräscht med helkaklat badrum. Rummet låg inåt gården så det var förvånansvärt lugnt och tyst för att vara Gare du Nord-området (4 min promenad till stationen). Hann inte äta deras frukost. Jag och min 11-årige son har haft en fantastisk vecka på detta hotell. Vattenkokaren perfekt både på nattkröken och morgon. Lagom promenad till Sacre coeur där vi åt frukost på trappan. Njöt av vyn och alla uppträdanden. Hit återkommer vi nästa vår.

Rummens standard mkt bra för sitt pris (trivsam och fräsch inredning, allt inkl. trapphus kändes nyrenoverat och omskött. Städningen och receptionsservicen var utomordentlg bra och trevlig. Dock vill jag uppmärksamma en allvarlig brist. Hotellet hade visserligen informerat om att man f n renoverar frukost och receptionsdelen. Men efter ankomsten blev […] jag varse om skälet till renoveringen på ett plågsamt sätt. Vi fick rum 601, på översta våningen,. Rummet visade sig vara mögelangripet, vilket jag kände på lukten i rummet, och senare såg svarta fläckar på nymålad vit vägg, Efter en natts sömn i rummet hade jag plågsamma huvudsmärtor, kraftig nästäppa och andnöd. Samtalade med receptionen om mitt problem i rummet. De gav mig efter några timmar väntan två alternativa rum att byta till, rum 501 eller 503 (med antydan att rum 501 antagligen inte var ett alternativ för det troligen skull ge mig samma symtom. Bytte till rum 503, som var beläget i en annan del av korridoren. Rum 503 var "friskt", och vistelsen på hotellet blev därför därefter helt okej. Passade också på att titta in i rum 501 (rakt nedanför 601) och fick bekräftat att det luktade fukt och mögel. De "sjuka" rummen, jag tog del av , låg rakt ovanför den frukost och recemtionsdel på gatuplanet som f n var under totalrenonvering. Med anledning av min upplevelse vill jag uppmärksamma Hotels.com och kommande hotellgäster att kontrollera att hotellet har renoverat taket som uppenbarligen har släppt eller släpper igenom vatten, samt att rummen rakt nedanför åtgärdats/s från hälsofaran som vi gäster annars utsätts för. Min upplevelse var att hotellet till viss del var i full färd att vidta åtgärder för den inträffade fuktskadan,men kanske inte förstod eller mäktade inse vidden av behov av åtgärder, på det till synes nyligen renoverade hotell. En annan brist som inte stämde med utlovat var att hotellet inte kunde erbjuda "safetybox", genom receptionen (som var angivet), då sådana inte fanns på rummen. Som skäl angavs Läs mer

Jag blev positivt överraskad! Hotellet kändes nyrenoverat & fräscht, speciellt badrummet. Vattenkokaren, gratis Wi-Fi & HD-tv:n var pricken över i:et. Det enda jag kan anmärka på är att jag tycker att frukosten var lite för dyr för lite bröd, flingor, kaffe/te & juice...

Good location if you come in late from Charles de Gaulle and Gare du Nord, also close to center Paris. Easy to find nice bistros with breakfast close. Very noisy though, slamming doors at 5 am, almost every morning.

Väldigt fräsch och nyrenoverad kännsla. Jag hyrde deras Cosy-variant, det är ett jättelitet rum med toalett och dusch. Inget hotellrum man hänger så mycket på men det ger å andra sidan mer utrymme för gästen att utforska denna underbara stad. Servicen var undermålig och området lite ruffigt. Nytt och fräscht badrum samt AC på ett enkelt men fullt ok rum. Läget med bara någon minuts promenad till antingen Gare du nord eller Gare du l'Est kan inte bli bättre!

POSITIVES: 5 mins walk from Gare du Nord, wide range of restaurant choices (7 days a week), clean and tidy, good size room. NEGATIVES: do not feel welcomed by staff, also not very helpful

Very convenient for travelling by Eurostar being only three minute walk from Gare du Nord. Small rooms and limited public areas but quiet and clean with helpful and efficient English speaking staff. Plenty of convenience stores and cafes nearby. Bus station and Metro at Gare du Nord and Notre Dame is only a five minute Metro ride away to the south with […] the Eiffel Tower a 30 minute bus ride. Best affordable hotel I've stayed in in Europe. Very modern and clean rooms, good maid service, friendly staff. Close to Gare du Nord. Recommend highly.

I stay here every time I come to Paris. It used to be a cosy small hotel and I always had the same favorite room. Unfortunately, they have been busy renovating, raising prizes and creating rooms in the small inner yard. Better avoid the new rooms 001 to 003 as they each have a single window looking into the partly covered yard: no privacy, no direct […] daylight, little fresh air, but noise instead, so take your earplugs with you. Wonderful surprise to find a little gem of a hotel in Paris. Suberbly clean, recently refurbished, helpful staff - a great find. Rooms are certainly small but do have everything you need including tea and coffee making items. It is conveniently located for trains and underground but it is not in the most salubrious of areas.

For the price and location, this hotel is great value if you are planning a short stay. It is close to Gare du Nord train station, probably <10 min walk. Bathroom shower could use a shower curtain, but the room seems like it is recently renovated. I can't say about other rooms as I read that a hotel in Europe can have some rooms renovated, but not others. […] Neighborhood is a little sketch, but it is fine in the morning. Convenient, clean, elevator. Came in to Paris on train, five minute walk with luggage to hotel. Just one night before flying out of CDG. Five minutes to RER at Gare du Nord, RER to CDG. Hotel was just what I needed. The room was larger than I had imagined from the description. Small shower, just like everywhere else in EU. Friendly, helpful staff. For the price of $$ it is a good hotel, the staff is primarily foreigners, and the surrounding area feels like your in north Africa. recommended for the price conscious individual.

Easy access to central Paris and CDG from nearby Gare du Nord or Gare d'el Est. Gare d'el Est might even be closer to this hotel than Gare du Nord?? Clean, modern room, helpful staff. Only (minor) complaint is the size of the room.

Lovely hotel and not even a 5 minute walk from Gare du Nord station. The staff were very friendly and helpful would definitely stay here again. I looked at many hotels near the station before i booked and am happy i chose this one.

Hotel is located near Gare de l'Est station. Boulevard de Mangenta is around the corner. The rooms can be described as compact and bijou! But my visit was half leisure and half business, and so all I wanted was a place to crash, and a safe place to dump my belongings whilst I explored Paris. Reception was polite, friendly and multi-lingual. And they […] provided good advice for tourism. My kettle was not working, and they immediately addressed this issue. They also have a very good wi-fi service in each room so I was able to look at my email, skype, Whatsapp, and Face Time with friends on my iPod. There are plenty of classic looking buildings in the area but not of the touristy type so people don't think it's a pretty area.... but if you're looking for affordable souvenirs, there's a covered market near by selling cheese, meat, sausages, fruit etc. No fridge in the room for storage. Alternately, go to the supermarket down the road, and buy some French chocolate! On my last day, I checked out, and they provided a safe place for luggage storage. And then they helped me book a taxi. The receptionist linked me up with another hotel resident who shared the taxi and the taxi fare. So that was tidy. Breakfast is basic so you might want to venture to a local restaurant for Petit-déjeuner In summary, hotel was conveniently located, clean, friendly, reasonably priced and provided efficient service. I was in Paris for busniess and stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The hotel is great - renovated, clean, free wifi and had friendly staff. I definitely recommend this hotel. (I never had the breakfast, so I cannot comment on it)

Very convenient, also close to Gare Lest Metro, rooms modernised, clean and reasonable size compared to others we have experienced. Breakfast OK, lots of local eating places for Dinner or even Breakfast . Hotel Clerk very helpful, can store luggage when checking out. Would stay again.

Until check-out, this hotel was excellent for the money -clean and convenient to the train station for transport to CdG airport. The rooms are very small, but cleverly planned and comfortable. Check in was quick and pleasant; however, when we went to check out, we were asked to pay a second time - at a higher rate! The resultant 30-minute conversation […] was not pleasant. I was repeatedly told by the staff member that Hotels.com only made the reservation; I had not paid. Fortunately, I was able to locate my Hotels.com receipt. Ultimately, the hotel agreed that we did not have to pay a second time. We made our flight, but the 30 minute delay resulted in missing an opportunity to pick up breakfast. IF I were to return, upon check-in, I would confirm that the hotel's paperwork was in order regarding payment of the bill. Located within two minutes of gare du Nord, and 100% clean and tidy, with good service, this economically priced hotel is a reliable city break venue for those coming to Paris via Gare du Nord.

This hotel is a gem, very centra, quiet, appealing and very reasonable. I recommend it highly.

The hotel is vey clean, the staff are very nice. The location of the hotel is very good, near gere du nord train / metro staion. the room is small, but good for 2 pepole.

the hotel location was the only good thing i can say about libertel gare du nord. very small room,very small towels,no floor mats shower with no door ,a staff not so friendly and helpful,one night i requested some ice,i was surprise to hear that they do not provide ice ,a very poor service.iwill stay away from that hotel and i will ask people not to […] be fool by the photos they see on line. We had a good stay at the hotel which was newly renovated and all the services were in good working order. It has a great location near the main train station which made getting aroung easy. The best part was there provided free wifi and internet excess. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit small though.

I came healthy and happy to Libertel Gare Du Nord - and left bitten by bed bugs and depressed. Because of that my whole experience of Paris was miserable. They couldn't assist me or offer me any real help....were completely not competent and rude. I am from New York and I know how dangerous bed bugs could be! All my body was swelling from bites....it […] was horrible. We selected this hotel based on rate, location, and previous reviews, and we were not disappointed. The area may not be the prettiest of Paris, but it is not bad at all either (we walked at night and never felt uncomfortable doing so). And with the Gare du Nord so close (~10 minutes walking), the rest of the city (as well as the airport by RER) is easily […] accessible. We had a room facing the street, and were never bothered by the noise. The room was not particularly big, but it was enough for our needs, and was very clean. The hotel offers a breakfast for 8 euros; it may not be the best deal in town, but at the same time it is convenient, and since it is a buffet you get as much as you want/need to start your day: cereals, juices, yogurts, croissants, dry fruits, toasts, coffee, etc. So all in all it is not bad (trying to buy these items in convenient stores nearby will not be much cheaper, and will definitely not be "all-you-can-eat"). We would definitely consider going back to this hotel on a future trip, and therefore have no problem recommending it. Just be aware that you are in a major city in Europe, and that rooms are not North-American sized! Läs mer

This hotel is quite new - so new, in fact, that workmen were still noisily finishing parts of it in mid-October 2011 when we stayed there. It is a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord station and thus convenient if you are arriving or departing Paris by train (including taking the RER to Charles De Gaulle Airport). The rooms are small, particularly the […] bathroom which was very compact. However, they were clean, new and well maintained. There is a breakfast buffet for 8 euros, with croissants, rolls, jam, tea, coffee, juice, yoghurt, cereal etc though no hot food other than toast. You could no doubt find cheaper close by but it is convenient and plentiful. The area around the Gare du Nord station is not the most salubrious but it's not terrible either - the point is its convenience. We were in a room at the back of the hotel, and there was little if any street noise. Recommended if you are looking for a clean, new place at a reasonable rate near the station - but you may want to enquire as to the state of the renovations before booking. Läs mer

The hotel is just finishing refurbishment work in the reception area so you enter walking around workman and scaffolding. However, as the rooms have been refurbished they are very clean and functional given the limited space. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice.

Stayed for 1 week, room was recently renovated and was clean, with modern furniture and fittings. Room and bathroom were clean. location is close to rail station and metro. staff were friendly and willing to help when asked. Breakfast buffet was fresh and varied.

We found this hotel to be clean, the staff were helpful, and the rooms were very modern. We were impressed !

The room was small even by European standards, but I knew that going in and was not disappointed. It was small, but well-organized and with a comfortable bed, desk area, and tv. It had all I would need for a short stay and the location was great. Nearby was a grocery store, an internet cafe, and, of course, Gare du Nord for the metro or train to/from […] the airport. I enjoyed my stay at the Gare du Nord Suede. Although the rooms are smallish, it is well located, and clean, comfortable, well decorated and affordable. Close to the Gare du Nord rail station, it connects easily with all major sites in Paris. Good continental breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay and found the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect for me, travelling on my own. I found the location good for access to Les Galeries Lafayette, Montmartre and Gare du Nord. I also thought the breakfast was good value for 8 euro. I would stay there again.

Didn't feel clean. Would not recommend. Under renovation at the time which didn't help.
