Hotell The Inn at Venice Beach - Marina del Rey

Ett mycket bra hotell, prisvärt. Frukost ingick vilket inte är så vanligt för hotell i USA. Det låg nära Venice Beach och vi bodde i ett nyrenoverat rum. Jag har inte så mycket att klaga på. Allt var bra.

Hotellet var bra och prisvärt, det fanns bra parkeringsmöjligheter och personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Vi fick först ett rum mot gatan och stördes en del av trafiken så då var det inga problem att byta rum. Området kändes inte jättekul, inget fel men långt till det mesta. Venice Beach kändes inte som det trevligaste stället att hänga direkt. Vi […] var i Burbank på tv-inspelning och studiovisning och dit och till Hollywood/Highland tog det en bra stund att köra. Super hotell med bra läge nära Venice samt Santa Monica beach. Ingen restaurang, samt lite fattig frukost är det enda jag kan klaga på. Den som inte gillar lyhörda hotell kanske ska välja något annat, men jag sover tungt. Längtar tills jag kan åka tillbaka!

Ett litet hotell med endast det nödvändigaste. Ingen lyx men rent och snyggt, bekväma sängar och stora rum. Hjälpsam personal ett +för gratis internet och man kan även låna en dator i receptionen med skrivare. En lägre avgift för parkeringen. Frukost ingår men även där inget extra, flingor, kaffe och toast. Mycket bra läge. Ligger intill en lite mer […] trafikerade gata men ändå är hotellet relativt tyst. 2min gångväg ner till Venice Beach och närhet till många matställen. Nära till LAX. Tror detta hotell passar både de med och utan bil, för de som vill ha ett lite billigare alternativ men ändå ett rent, lugnt och trivsamt hotell. Passar säkert barnfamiljer. Rekommenderas! Läs mer

Ett utmärkt prisvärt hotell som ligger nära flygplatsen (LAX) utan att behöva åka motorväg! Passade perfekt efter resan från Europa. Bra också med prisvärd parkering. Efter incheckning gick vi ner till pieren som låg två kvarter från hotellet. Där åt vi middag och tittade på solnedgången. Hotellet har en bra frukost som ingår i priset. Där fanns juicer, […] gott kaffe, rostat bröd med jordnötssmör, marmelad, frukter etc. Även gröt gick att micra om man nu skulle vilja ha det. Vårat rum låg på första våningen och låg delvis mot den stora gatan där det kan vara en del trafik som kan vara störande om man är känslig. Dock verkar det som om de flesta rum ligger mot gården eller mot baksidan av hotellet vilket säkert är lugnare. Dag 2 gick vi längs havet till Santa Monica (5 km) och stannade vid skateboardparken vilken håller världsklass. Där ligger också musclebeachgymmet. Mycket kul att titta på folklivet längs denna promenad. Det var dock så varmt, 38 grader i november, så vi tog en taxi tillbaks från Santa Monica ;)) Läs mer

The standard on the hotel will probably not suite americans. But for us europeans it was perfect. The cleaneras are doing an excellent job, and the breakfast was well over standard. A tip is just next to it, there is a bar called Baja Cantina. The food there are the best in the area. Do not miss to taste the enchilada suissa and their guacamole. Based on other reviews we had booked an inside room away from the road but we were given a room on the corner of the side road and the main road which did have a lot of traffic noise. However, neither that nor the thin walls stopped us from getting a good nights sleep. Although the hotel has been renovated lately there is still work to be done and as […] mentioned in other reviews there was a weird smell in our room which wasn't present in the hallway so I'm not sure what that was about.. Breakfast was typical and adequate and the afternoon cookies were wonderful. The Inn at Venice Beach is 2 blocks to the beach, virtually next door to a convenience store and many restaurants. We used public transport a lot and the bus stop was just across the road. One area that the hotel fell down in, was that there was no information in the rooms regarding nearby facilities, especially restaurants, no phonebook, no information regarding tv channels or calling instructions for the phone - even as to what number to phone for the front desk. They also could not supply timetables for the local bus but fortunately they were available on the bus. They were able to direct me to a great and inexpensive hair salon nearby. Most of the front desk staff were very helpful but one in particular, Rasha, was very friendly and welcoming every day, even when she wasn't feeling 100%. She is a valuable asset to the hotel. Wonderful location -- such a quick, easy walk to the beach. A super cute interior courtyard and a lovely continental breakfast. I typically stay in Hilton properties to maximize my HIlton points, but decided to stay here because of the location. Not one complaint - great place!

I just loved this boutique hotel which comes with breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. Feels like Europe! It is walking distance from the beach boardwalk and very cool funky restaurants and cafes and great boutique shopping. Very artsy and colorful..... Definitely going back.

This is in many ways a nice hotel with a classic Southern California layout (rooms off a garden courtyard). The management was friendly and the room up to expectations. The only problem was that the hotel is currently undergoing massive renovations to the lobby area. Our own room had already been renovated, but we had to fight our way through paint […] fumes and active workmen--including someone working continuously on the main entry door--to get in and out. The Inn at Venice Beach is a great boutique hotel. The location, rooms, parking, near by restaurants, continental breakfast, internet access all easy and good. In addition - walking distance to the beach. European-ish but better. I will return many more times to come.

I am torn. When we walked into the hotel from the parking garage it looked like a crime scene with plastic flying around. There was a note about the lobby being under construction and to proceed to the first floor. They converted one of the rooms to being reception and I was seriously reconsidering our stay. However, they upgraded us to a king room […] and it was very nice. Big bed, big TV (hubby was happy), nice little door to a small patio for fresh air. So the room was mostly excellent but then little things were off like the smoke detector was half hanging, the bathroom with the toilet and tub was a tiny area. It was a nice little breakfast in the morning and parking was only $7 (it's either meters or $9 nearby). It was a nice area near the waterfront, a great restaurant next door (Baja Cantina) and a few more a block or two closer to the pier. We would stay again but hope renovations are completed by then. Hotel was under construction and no water available from 11-5. They wouldn't approve a late cancellation based on this. Very unhelpful.

Hotel is under going some major renovations starting March 1,2012. Will be doing one floor at a time. So be prepared for some disruptions. But love the hotel. It was our third time there. Free breakfast and large room make this hotel unique for the area.

Humble rooms although they're now under renovation. Breakfast was great. Location was perfect. 2 blocks away from Venice Beach. Friendly staff. No complaints!

This hotel is in a great location, and offered at a decent price. The hotel is very cute. Walk a block to access the Venice canals and another block to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby, and just a short drive to Third Street Promenade. Love that they give you two free water bottles in the guest room, and breakfast is also included.

Super location with easy walking distance to beach and restaurants. Hotel offers a good (not luxury) room at a good price and great location. Room was rather plain and nothing special but hotel planning a major renovation in next couple of months. I'm not there to spend time in the room but nonetheless,a redo would be good. I'd suggest asking for room at the rear because lot of road noise on the side facing the street - not rowdy, just cars going up and down street woke me up a couple of times. This is a great small hotel in a great location. Knowledgeable staff and a lovely quiet courtyard. Many healthy offering for the free breakfast.

Comfortable, basic and very friendly staff

When we checked in the hotel were not full but they gave us a room facing Washington street. Since it is relatively a busy street , we requested to move to the back facing the parking lot . The toilet was flooded on the day we checked out, luckily we used the bathroom already . When you turn on the light in the bathroom , the fan will also be on and […] it is very loud. This hotel is in a decent location to the beach. It's looks cute on the web. However, just doesn't live up to it's potential...it's a very noisy location. Lots of street noise! And, the plumbing in the room's sink gurgled very loudly on a regular basis. Sad! It could be so much nicer with some attention to details! This Inn is very close to the beach with all kinds of great little restaurants on the way. Cozy and Charming.

Charming, clean, very close to the beach, and the Boardwalk. Close to LAX, and within walking distance of good resturants, entertainment, etc. Secure, safe, with 24 hour front desk service. Also, a nice complimentary breakfast.

This hotel is conveniently located near Venice Beach in a fairly quite street. The room was clean tidy and large with coffee amenities and bottled water available (complementary). Also the breakfast was quite rich for such a small hotel and was simply excellent (loved those bagels). The stay was nice with a convenient location and clean room. The staff was friendly and was quite helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a modest and clean hotel.

Best location possible for visiting Venice beach neighborhood. Nothing extravagant about the hotel but more than serviceable and has more character than a chain. Very nice staff to boot.

I needed two rooms for a last minute decision to stay a night in the Venice area. We were greeted by a friendly staff and fresh cookies to calm tensions from driving across LA. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice interior courtyard for the insomniac in the group to work while the others rested. My room had stains on the floor and was just dated and gross. Totally not worth the price at all. Is close to the beach but besides that has nothing going for it.

I loved the uniqueness of the hotel. The room was clean, a nice large room with a view (albeit, distant view) of the ocean. It was a quick walk to the beach and fabulous restaurants. The price is well worth the location.

The courtyard is what sold me on the hotel. It is quaint and nicely priced! Would definitely stay there again. I am looking forward to their upcoming renovation in February. The interiors are a little dated, but everything is clean and staff is friendly.

Over-all, for the money, it's one of the best "near beach" boutique hotels we've booked. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were a little musty, but not unexpected for the hotel's age and location near the coast. Both covered and uncovered parking was easy and off the street. Breakfast was good. Quaint hotel with character. 45 rooms (15 per floor) with an inner courtyard. Very welcoming! Fresh baked dcookies every afternoon! Within a very short walk to Pacific Ocean and Venice Beach.

The Inn at Venice Beach was a great place. The room was clean, light, pleasant and the staff accommodating. They had not noted that I'd changed my reservation to arrive a day earlier, but quickly adjusted and gave me a perfect room for the whole stay. The staff were always pleasant and the location was great, a quick walk to the beach.

This hotel was perfect for my needs. It must have had at least 20 restaurants within 2 blocks. It was very convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for more and will certainly stay here again.

This hotel is a great beach hotel near the Venice pier. We stayed for a night for a last minute weekend getaway. A block from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and bars and Marina del rey. Its fun to rent bikes near by and ride to the Santa Monica Pier- about 3 miles each way. Very nice hotel with great service. Nice expanded continental breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. Good location - walking distance to Venice Beach. Short driving distance to Santa Monica pier and downtown. Great value - especially for the area!

The hotel staff here are wonderful and very helpful. The hotel set up was great and well maintained and was at a great location with east access to the beach. Very secluded and quite.
