"Hotel Artur Helsingfors - hundvänligt & centralt"
Mycket hundvänligt hotell. Väldigt trevlig personal och bra rum. Frukostbuffén var fantastiskt variationsrik och mycket god. Hotellet ligger i centrala Helsinfors, bredvid Botaniska Trädgården, med gångavstånd till allt i city. Nära till spårvagn till färjeterminalerna. Bra P-möjligheter till ordinarie P-avgift, d.v.s. rätt dyrt!

Good value hotel, price/quailty relationship ok. Small crammed room, ok for 1 but on the small side for 2. Excelent location - walking distance to all city center attractions.
"Cheap and basic"
Totally decent, but worn at places but ok for the price. If it is only for one night I'd add 20E and take something nicer though. Breakfast buffet ok, nothing more, but as I said ok for the price.

Bra läge centralt i Helsingfors. Nära till kommunikationer. Inte så störande med den näraliggande trafiken. Rummet rent och modert. Tyst. Det enda lite negativa att frukosten var så sockrig eller lunchaktig. Jag saknade havregrynsgröten.

Bodde här en natt. Fungerade smärtfritt, enkelt att hitta, nära till centrum. Helt OK frukost. Enda negativa var att de tog betalt för internet (2 euro för 30 min). Annars kan det rekommenderas för sin enkelhet och centrala läge!

"Disappointing hotel in good location"
Centrally located near the train station, not quite what I had expected. A small reception with friendly staff, however the lift is an intresting experience - a solid metal door that you physically open rather than automoated. Upstairs, the corridors were dated and looked like that of a residentioal block and the room was disappointing. "Cold but Cheap"
Good location, very close to train station/ centre of town. However, my room was absolutely freezing, so much so I had to take the covers off the spare bed and line the window with them. Pillows were so synthetic they produced sparks everytime I moved in the bed (and not in a good way!) Breakfast was quite good, although I had to leave very early one […] morning to get to the airport and, even though they said they'd prepare something for me to take with me, there was nothing there for me when I checked out at 5am. Also, a big aspect for me as a solo female traveller was security. It didn't feel very safe as you can walk straight off the street and take the lift up to any floor you please, you don't have to go through reception. All in all, it was fine for my purposes as I was only there on business, but if you're looking for a nice hotel for a nice weekend, I'd probably give this a miss. Good for groups of students/young travellers though as it's cheap by comparison and Helsinki is strangely lacking in hostels! Läs mer
"Clean, but old"
Nothing fancy, no luxury. Old and somewhat workned hallways and public areas. Though large renovation on process, which may change things. If you look for cheap sleeping with clean, standard room then you can consider Arthur. Breakfast is good.

I begin with pluses: the location is very good, 5 min on foot from railway station, near from shops and bus stops. The breakfast was really good! The woman in the bar was very amiable and friendly! Minuses: the room itself is ugly, in the batthroom i didnt want to come in... it was very cold inside the room, at night i was awoke for some times because […] of freezing. "Moore like youth hostel than hotell."
Cleaning was poor i the room we got, there were acctually blood on the sheets from former guest. Hotell in need of reperations, and are a bit worn down. The employees however was really serviceminded and breakfast was good.

Good centrally located hotel - decent size rooms, quite good breakfast. No possibility to purchase hot beverages (coffee/tea) in the evening / night. It is OK to pay for internet access in an inexpensive hotel - but not this much (EUR 2 / 30 min)
"Close to everything and comfortable"
This hotel is right in the city and is a minutes walk from the Railway station. So it is walking distance to other attractions in Helsinki and the tram stops. The restaurant attached to the Hotel is quite good and the reception staff are very nice. The room was very comfortable, quiet and safe.

The beds were a bit worn, but comfortable. The room was clean, staff was helpful, and the (included) breakfast had a good selection.

This hotel was in a great location - reasonable quiet and close to trains, and trams. Renovations were happening in some sections of the building but there was little disruption for us.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The room was small but kept clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I would have liked free Wi Fi & the BBC never came on the TV. There were no English language papers in the lobby but these are small inconveniences and the hotel and location were wonderful otherwise.

Hotel Arthur is quite cheap - but after check-in you know why. The rooms and bathrooms are OLD, haven't been renovated in decades, it seems. At least they are rather clean (exept the bead spreads). Breakfast is tolerable, but nothing more. My advice: Pay more and stay somewhere else - especially if you are in Helsinki for more than one night.

Our room at Hotel Arthur was huge!! It had parquet flooring, and was clean. The beds were comfortable, and the location very convenient - downtown Helsinki, easy to walk to lots of attractions, and underground parking close by. There are lots of one-way streets in Helsinki, and a GPS is a definite help in getting to the hotel. The room was not pretty […] - very pink and 1970's...but we had everything we needed at a good price. Do not be scared by the grimy hallways, the room was fine. Conveniently located near the bus terminal (although a bit of uphill walk!), this hotel is a gem! Booked a room for 4 and the room was large enough with a sofa set and very comfortable! The only con is the inability to adjust the aircon temperature but during my stay, the weather was kind enough so not an issue. My kids love the room and the breakfast […] buffet is not bad too! Just 2 blocks from the City Center, in short walking distance from the train station, bus terminal and tram lines, and with many restaurants and cafes in its vicinity, Hotel Arthur is in a very desirable location. The staff were friendly and helpful and extended my check out by 2 hours since my flight was not until 6 PM and let me store my luggage in […] the hotel even after checking out. They called for taxis whenever I needed them. The room itself is rather ordinary and charmless unlike other hotels I have stayed in in Europe. There was no fan or AC and when the outside temperature hit 70 F, the window needed to be left open. One problem was the noise from the trams at night through the open window. "Comfortable and Convenient Location"
Hotel Arthur is centrally located to the rail station and tourist areas. The rooms are a bit cramped and the bathroom is tiny, but it still is a good mid-range hotel.

Huone oli mukava, sängyt olivat todella pehmeät ja hyvin sai nukuttua! Ainut miinus oli, että vessan lattiakaivo haisi ihan järkyttävältä. Hotellin henkilökunta oli todella ensiluokkaista.

Ravintola ja aamiaispöytä olivat tasoltaan huomattavasti paremmat kuin huone ja käytävät antoivat odottaa. Siisteys ja palvelu ok.

Останавливался на сутки. Отель более чем хороший. Был забронирован сингл - дали твин, комната большая, 2 кресла, телевизор. Белье чистое, глаженное)). Пара зеркал и несколько настольных ламп - на тумбочках и на столе. Ванна как таковая отсутствует - вода из душа стекает в дырку на полу. Персонал замечательный, по русски не понимает, но по английски […] - пожалуйста. Удобство расположения не подвергается сомнению - 5-7 минут от вокзала (и соответственно от аэропортовых автобусов), до метро рукой подать как и до центральных достопримечательностей. Mukava hotelli, jossa hieman kulumisen merkkiä. Remontti oli aloitettu, mutta ainakaan huoneeseen siitä ei kuulunut mitään. Huone siisti, mutta kylmä ja pieni tunkkaisuuden haju vessassa. Aamupala monipuolinen. Hinta-laatusuhde hyvä.

Sijainniltaan hyvä jos tulee Helsinkiin esim. junalla. Me tosin tulimme omalla autolla, ja sen suhteen on ongelmallinen pysäköinti. Ajoimme hotellin eteen ilmoittautumaan ja sen jälkeen piti kiertää melko pitkä reitti, että sai auton pysäköintihalliin johtuen yksisuuntaisesta kadusta hotellin vieressä. Lisäksi pysäköintihallista on aika pitkä matka […] hotellille, mikä harmittaa varmasti jos autoon unohtuu jotain tavaraa, jota joutuu lähteä hakemaan. Läs mer
"Valintani Helsingin keskustan hotelliksi"
Sijainti on tärkein syy, miksi valitsen Arthurin. Tämä oli ainakin 3. kerta kun yövyin hotellissa. Hinta-laatusuhde on kohdallaan, sekä aamupala on oikein hyvä ja monipuolinen. Erityistä plussaa tälläkertaa sai respasta lainattu kännykän laturi, sillä omani oli jäänyt pois matkalaukusta.

"No joo"
Ihan jees. Meiltä paloi lamppu kylpyhuoneesta aamulla ja sen vaihtamisesta joutui käymään keskustelua henkilökunnan kanssa. Aluksi se ei meinannut onnistua tunnin sisällä kun minulla oli aikainen lähtö mutta lopulta se vaihdettiin ja näin käydä suihkussa. Ei moisen asian pitäisi olla neuvottelukysymys. Toiseksi huoneemme lattiasta puuttui parkettilautoja […] josta näkyi vanhaa kokolattiamattoa. Outoa. Sijainti suhteessa hintaan kuitenkin loistava. Läs mer
