This is an new hotel with a great location close to the vibrant Patio Bellavista and within walking distance from Plaza de Armas. If you expect fully sound proof walls, a lift/elevator, shoe polish or a mini bar - you should look for another hotel. However, if you want a clean room, reasonably spacious rooms, friendly staff and breakfast included - this is the place!

Hotels.com påstår att hotellet har fitnessanläggning, vilket personalen inte hade hört talas om. Framför allt därför jag hade bokat just detta. Som tur var 15-20 min promenad till bra grusspår att springa i längs floden. Och annars bra.

We just stayed for two one-night stays at the hotel. It is a bit off centre but that was expected. We got was a very nice room in a calm environment. Excellent views of the hills with a very helpful staff. No food is served besides the very good breakfast but drinks are available. The hotel is very clean and from our point of view a good spot to relax outside the city centre. Wifi is quite fast and accessable in all areas.

"Couldn't have asked for more..."
The hotel is in an excellent location for the historical part of the city and the staff are helpful and polite. The pool area gives relaxation and a chance to enjoy the Santiago sunshine, and in the evening transforms to a live Chilean music/ restaurant area. "Fantastic hotel in convenient location"
This is a lovely hotel, centrally located in Santiago. The room was lovely, spacious and had fantastic views over the city, and the concierge service was incredibly helpful in booking day trips and airport transfers at the least price. The upper management made up for the middle management's lack of training but just.Interestingly the older staff members whether concierges, porters or wait staff were very friendly and helpful but don't bother with the young reception staff they pretend not to understand english or just ignore you if you dare to approach with a problem. "Love Santiago and the Galerias"
This was a quiet, clean, well staffed hotel, with a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was great, with a selection of hot and cold items, trust me we were spoiled. The staff booked our tours and taxi's with no problem. If there was a change in times,we received a note. The location of the hotel was excellent right in downtown. We only used a taxi […] when we went to the airport. There are wonderful pedestrian streets all over downtown and the main square was easily accessed by foot. We were also only 2 blocks away from an amazing park. There were lots of good restaurants close by, plus the restaurant in the hotel. I do recommend this hotel to all and we would stay there again, if only we were going to Chile again. Plus it was a great price. Forgot to mention that it was a good sized room also. Pros: downtown, right next to Alameda Cons: the entire pool area has been turned into a smoking area for the bar, all with "reserved" signs so you can't even put down a towel, so good luck weaving between smokers when your kids get out; the breakfast buffet is large but of poor quality (dozens of bowls of canned fruit cocktail and dehydrated scrambled […] eggs); the decor is beat-up, dark, and dingy; the promised work-out area was closed for construction; and the staff will promise anything but not follow through (ie, they said they'd call a car for the airport and never did, said that they'd make a dinner reservation and never did, etc.); the "pro" on the location is also its downside, a dingy area without the charm of areas such as Paris-Londres or Lastreria or the cleanliness of Bosques Läs merVerifierad gästrecension

"Excellent Service and Location"
I stayed here 6 nights and the staff was just excellent. Everything, I needed they helped with including providing me with an outlet converter, iron, taxi, wake up calls, tours. I always enjoy this hotel, and the location couldn´t be better. However, although it was quite pleasant elsewhere in the hotel, in the restaurants, etc., despite my many requests they never managed to get the temperature in my room (911) below 23º. The weather outside was considerably cooler and pleasant, but the air conditioning never really cooled […] the room, which faced south (Moneda) I am returning to this hotel in January and very much hope they manage to give me a room with the air conditioning working, since it will be summer. "Galerias - seen better days"
Had decided to book this hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and seen the hotel's website. This hotel has seen better days. The pros - great location not far from Plaza Armas and metro. Convenient and many shops and banks in the vicinity. The cons - the 2 tiny elevators for the 12 storied building (hotel floors go from 6 - 12) is really inadequate […] especially during the morning breakfast/checkout rush hours. "Surprisingly good"
Previous experience with hotels in Santiago was not so good. This one is located between two metro stations, has a heating system (! much needed during their winter), a shower with hot (!) water. "Oasis in the city"
Right in the thick of things. So much to see within walking distance (Plaza, churches, museums, and the Virgin Mary) and then come back to older but nice room with decor and Easter Island feel. yummy chocolates delivered to the door. "Central location to historical sites, restaurants"
Overall good stay in a convenient location. They were very accommodating in changing us to a room with an expansive view after our initial request. The rooms are spacious, recently remodeled with large windows. Breakfast had lots of choices. The lobby is not welcoming and the elevators are small but adequate. Downtown location is good for seeing the older parts of Santiago. Area is a bit deserted at night but taxis to good restaurant are easy to come by and not expensive. "A nice place in downtown Santiago"
I booked two rooms for one night total for our party. Upon check in, the front desk stated that our rooms would be ready in a few minutes. The employee gave us all drink coupons and told us to head up to the bar and have a complimentary welcome drink. Two of us had glasses of wine and two had pisco sours. Ten minutes later, the concierge brought our […] room keys to the bar and stated that our luggage had been delivered to our rooms. This check in was well done and made for an excellent welcome. The rooms are average size, comparable to any major USA hotel chain and were very clean. The complimentary breakfast was well done with eggs, sausage, meats, cheeses and plenty of fresh fruit. The in-room wireless internet was of average speed. The service by the concierge was excellent. Our bags were stored for us without problem and when we needed a taxi, the concierge had one for us in no time. If you are staying in downtown Santiago, I would recommend this property. Great views of the Andes from the higher floors. The whole place is like an archaeological exhibit. The bar and restaurant feature items inspired by Chile´s early history, dishes you won´t find anywhere else. Hotel Galerias is located in central Santiago, within easy walking distance of restaurants, banks, pharmacies, the central market, and important landmarks like the Plaza de Armas, La Moneda, San Francisco church, the Pre-Colombian Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts. The hotel is attractively decorated with artefacts of the indigenous peoples of Chile. […] The staff are competent, well-organized, and courteous. Breakfast is outstanding. One minor negative--the hotel is not exclusively non-smoking. We requested and received a non-smoking room. "Gute Lage des Hotels, aber ......"
Die Lage des Hotels ist für Reisende, die sich nur vorübergehend für 2-3 Tage in Santiago aufhalten, ideal, da sich sämtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten in Laufnähe befinden. Die nähere Umgebung ist alles andere als spannend, d.h. nette Cafés und Bars sucht man vergeblich Leider befinden sich in Hotelnähe keine ansprechenden Restaurants, in denen man abends […] gemütlich sitzen kann. Überall nur Schnellrestaurants oder Coffeeshops. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich abgewohnt und könnten dringend eine Renovierung gebrauchen, abgewetzter Teppichboden, Badezimmer weit davon entfernt eine Wohlfühloase zu sein, schlechte Beleuchtung, heruntergekommene Badewanne mit Duschvorhang, extrem unhygienisch ! Frühstücksbuffet war ok., reichhaltig und qualitativ akzeptabel. Die Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen, wohl aus Lärmschutzgründen, weil das Hotel an einer lauten Strasse liegt. "Veldig bra i sentrum"
Et nydelig hotell med noen drømmer av senger til slitne helgeturister som skulle på avslapning til en fin by. Vi hadde valgt det pga beliggenheten, og var spente på trafikkstøy, men vi hørte ingenting. Vi ble hentet på flyplassen og møtt av et mannskap på hotellet som hadde som hovedmål å gi oss et fint opphold. Veldig blide og søte og hjelpsomme. Rommet […] og badet var rent og stille, med standard minibar og muligheter for å lage egen kaffe - siste dog litt dyr. No es un sector para salir de noche, solo para conocer atracciones turísticas en el día.
