Very convenient for attending contest at convention center

If you are looking for a less expensive place to stay in Pasadena. The hotel isn't really nice but it is clean and comfortable. It's also quiet. Added bonuses are: 1. walking distance to really nice restaurants including Houston's.; 2. Cupcake store right next door; Whole Foods across the street and; 4. Free covered parking.

My fiance and I enjoyed our stay. We don't get much time in great cities and this was perfect for a night on the town and a great anniversary. Close to great sites, walking distance, good rates and overall we would definitely stay again.

Clean, easy access to downtown Pasadena, VERY nice surrounding area, including Whole Foods grocery store across the street. Good Thai restaurant attached to hotel. Downside - Hotel parking lot lights were a bright and shone in around the curtains at night. Internet access was pretty good. Great room, lovely staff, conveniently located, cheap rate, wow. BUT the wifi internet was un-usable. The networks are not protected by password, so I assume they are widely abused by neighbours because they are crumbling. You're lucky to get a connection at all, then it's terribly slow and then it disconnects. It was very difficult to connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi and there was no wired-connection in the hotel rooms. The Wi-Fi connections at the hotel room were disconnected very often.

The wireless internet is broken every couple minutes

Very nice for the price and for 2 star hotel. The heater was noisy cycling on and off throughout the night and I could see my breath becuase of the cold at breakfast - could have used an area heater are my only complaints. Thanks though, overall pleasant experience.

This comfortable, quiet, and pretty hotel is just a couple of blocks from the cool part of town, with tons of shops and restaurants. It is also extremely convenient to the highway. If you want great value for your dollar this is it; well-located in Pasadena. Morning breakfast buffet a bonus. Probably deserves at least 2.5 stars--at least.

Very functional, not very nice looking but adequate, pretty good free breakfast, a short walk to Old Town Pasadena. The one big negative was that the WiFi was a little spotty.

Nice walk, few blocks from Pasadena Conv Ctr but you can walk thru some nice neighborhoods and the weather in California is always gorgeous! Plus free breakfast and parking is free as well. All in all, a great bargain.

The hotel is very clean, well maintained, convenient, and a fair price. But it is badly in need of sound-proofing! I've stayed in many many hotels and rarely had such noisiness. It is right on a busy street with loud traffic, but the noise from other guests and such was very noticeable.

Great location & service. Bed very comfortable. Would have stayed another night, but had to travel onward.

Spacious room. Furnishings a bit old-fashioned. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered on a covered terrace.

Affordable and clean. Only problem was very close to a busy street...heard traffic all night long.

I need softer pillows and the wifi was sketch, but the breakfast was great as well as the staff.

For a 2 star, this was a good hotel - room was very large and clean and within 4 blocks of parade route. The shuttle line was so long coming from the Rose Bowl game, we ended up walking back to the hotel, which was a long way, but at least we had the option with a hotel so close. Parking onsite which also saves a lot of money. Continental breakfast […] was pretty good, boiled eggs, Belgian waffles and the normal stuff. They really jacked up the price for Rose Bowl and made a 3 night minimum, which is highway robbery, but all the other hotels are jacked up as well. Läs mer

We booked this hotel because we were going to the Rose Bowl. The hotel was very close to the Metro Station and we received "welcome bags" when we checked in that contained bottled water, chips, candy, and tissue paper. It was very thoughtful and we would stay here again.

I have stayed there many times over the past several years. It is conviently located for my needs.

Central location, reasonable prices, nice continental breakfast, well-maintained, clean rooms, friendly staff, what's not to like? I'm planning on returning next time I need a motel in Pasadena.

Location is convenient, staff is friendly and responsive. Continental breakfast was more than adequate, clean and friendly. Room was well-maintained and quiet. Parking is free (a big plus in Pasadena!) You can walk to any number of restaurants and shops. Wireless Internet worked flawlessly and cable TV had most channels. In general the room was comfortable. The air conditinoing unit was very noisy when it kicked in and woke me up several times during the night.

Rooms are very clean, good condition, hotel service is good, decent free breakfast, location is very good close to metro station and a whole foods supermarket as well as downtown Pasadena where one can find dozens of places to eat and shop. The room had a regular TV, no flat screen which is always nice. Stayed there for about a week windows are thin […] so one can hear cars in the parking lot quite easy and might be a problem for people that wake up pretty easily, overall I would recommend staying here, if one has a selection of rooms on the 2nd level away from the main road I would suggest to go for it. This hotel is getting to be rather aged, but it is the location we needed, so we went for it. The rate is above average for the facility when compared to the great rooms we got at the Marriotts at the same cost on this trip.

A nice place to stay; inexpensive; GREAT breakfast fare. Main complaint has to do w/time of year: We stayed in December, when the outdoor pool was NOT heated, and the space heater in the outdoor patio area where breakfast was served could not cover such a large area.

Exceeded our expectations. Friendly, helpful, staff who aim to please. Great room. Breakfast room a little chilly in November! Easy to get to!

This Inn was in the right place and right price. Restaurants were easy walking distance and the people very friendly.

Our second stay at this facility. Rooms are not fancy, but service is terrific. FYI, if you want a coffee maker and coffee, you have to ask for it at the front desk.

We stayed at the Pasadena Inn recently and were very happy with it - the sheets and towels were replaced everyday with housekeeping making the bed daily . The air conditioning worked well. Wi-fi was a little patchy at times but adequate. The location was convenient, with a Whole Food Market across the road, a 5 minute walk to Del Mar (Gold Line) Station […] and 10 minutes to Old Pasadena with the shops and restaurants and Metro Bus Stops. We will definitely stay there again on future trips to LA/Pasadena. Läs mer

This is our third stay at this hotel, and it just keeps getting better. Staff was friendly with good restaurant recommendations.

I have stayed here before, and it's a nice, clean, quiet hotel. My only complaint is that it seems when I book through hotels.com, they give me the worst room they have (first floor, behind the staircase, next to the noisy fountain). But I did ask for a different room, and they gladly accommodated. Very nice people.

The hotel's location is very convenient with easy access (good potential). Noise is a major drawback here! We woke up late at night (both nights) to the sound of people talking & loughing in the hallway. They need to enforce the "quiet time" policy and/ or having a sound-proof door.

Good location but our room had a definite musty smell. I asked to check another room which had the same smell. So I think it is just the age of the place and the smell of old wood. It is a well maintained hotel and the owners are very courteous. I might add that my wife did not feel the smell was a major problem.

It's money worthy. Pretty decent. Good location too. I will recommend it to others.

Had business in the general area. Convenient location at a reasonable rate. Hotel staff was professional & very friendly. Thai restaurant next door was excellent (discount for Hotel guests). Free continental breakfast, which included yummy made to order waffles & hard boiled eggs. Would stay again.

Wonderful hotel, excellent location in the one of the best neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Breakfast is very good. Refrigerator and microwave inside the room are awsome (the refrigerator is really big). Free wireless works pretty well. Free parking lot really good and have a lot of space. I actually have no complains.

clean, quiet and convenient. quieter than Colorado Blvd. motels. Nice breakfast with waffles, hardboiledegg and fruit. the wifi didnt seem to work well from my room, but that was only downside.

This is a nice hotel, reasonably priced and in a very convenient location. It is located on Arroyo Pkwy which is the beginning of the 110 fwy into LA. It is surrounded by good restaurants and is very close to both Whole Foods and Trader Joes. It's walking distance to the convention center and old town Pasadena. I would definitely stay here again.
