Förorten Eixample skapades 1860–1920 och har således stadens finaste moderna byggnader. Passeig de Gràcia är huvudpulsådern med sina breda trottoarer som kantas av designerbutiker och chica butiker. Här ligger även Gaudís två sagolika mästerverk, Casa Batlló och La Pedrera, plus många andra arkitektoniska ädelstenar. Hotel Claris har ett bra läge för både kultur och shopping. Vi bodde två vuxna och tonårsdotter i ett executiverum. Hotellet är bra men håller inte 5-stjärning standard. Välj bort frukosten på hotellet och ät den på Le Pain Quotidien istället. Det ligger två kvarter bort precis mitt emot La Pedrera. Hotellet har en trevlig takterrass med fin liten pool. […] Hotellets gym är inte ett gym utan ett litet rum med ett löpband, en stairmaster och en "sittcykel" av enklare modell samt några vikter. "Bra service & perfekt läge"
Vi besökte Barcelona för en weekend och tycker att Claris var ett kanonbra hotell. Det kanske inte är 5-stjärnigt i svenska mått mätt men en fyra i alla fall med bra service och fina rum. Det finns en härlig pool på taket som vi tyvärr inte kunde utnyttja då vi reste i mars.Verifierad gästrecension

This is a good hotel. Yet not a five star hotel, more like a four star. The sun deck and the swimming pool is very small. Didn't check our Hotels.com receipt until the checkout and it turns out the hotel gave us a light-well facing room instead of a city view room during our four day stay. The Hotel Claris seems unique .The design is sleekly modern but not aggressivly so .The staff are professional courteous and kind. Perfect location right in the centre of Barcelona and most attractions were within walking distance.. Buses, trains & taxis were easily available withing 250m of the hotel. The hotel was of a very high standard although we didn't eat in the hotel as breakfast was very expensive at €23. The hotel was very good in all aspects. It doesn't have the magesty of other 5 star hotels but the service and quality is there. The location cannot be better, and in a safe and nice elegant area. One block away from Paseo de Gracia, two away from from Ramblas Catalans, and two from Diagonal. It is perfectly located to go anywhere in Barcelona. Two […] of Gaudi's masterpiece houses are walking distance (5 and 10 minutes away). "Convenient for Business Travel"
The hotel was nice. Last year we had a larger room so were a little dissapointed that the twin beds were right up next to each other but it was clean and tidy. The front of house staff, in particular the door men and bar staff were superb. "My first experience, visit to barcelona spain,"
Last week, we spent 3 nights me and my friend at the claris hotel, in a duplex twin room which was almost like a suite which was lovely, , and I found it to be just like it appears on the website, very modern, classic and the upkeeping of the hotel is excellent, clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful with any help that I required, e.g. such as […] translation of spanish when using the computer, room service, and advising me the best places to shop or even visit on our day out. The cleaners were great, and did a good job cleaning our rooms, but the only thing was we wasn't sure at what time they were to come and clean, so we had to ring the reception, or we would see them outside our front room door, cleaning another room, so we would ask then. The only thing i would say, was that quite early in the morning, there were noises of footsteps coming from the next room, but it didn't go on for too long. Having access to the sauna facilities was really enjoyable and quiet. The breakfast was enjoyable, I enjoyed the quietness of the hotel, overall it wasn't noisy, the restaurant was lovely, and well decorated. I had a good experience, and found it very interesting, i had the opportunity to walk to many places, and the shopping, markets and malls, were within reasonable walking distance, as well as hopping onto a tourist bus which was convenient to take us out further to have a better sight seeing expereince. "Perfect for pre-cruise stay!"
Perfect for staying in the heart of Barcelona for a few nights. We stayed prior to departing for a cruise for one night. Hotel staff was very accomodating. Room was clean and met our expectations (we typically stay in 4.5 - 5 star hotels). The window shade is a little thin and light comes in fairly easily, but that is just a nit. Tip - highly recommend […] taking the train to the hotel from the airport. I think the cost was six or seven euros and is the most cost effective mode of transportation. The train drops you off one block from the hotel. If you take a cab, you are wasting your money. The hotel is very convenient to La Sagrada and shopping. Highly recommend staying here. "Construction noise and indifferent staff."
Paid extra for a 'duplex' room with extra space. Disappointing. Window looked directly in to a brick wall. I asked for a different room and was told nothing better was available...then the construction noise started. I again asked for a new room and was told that noise would stop soon. they offer free internet on the website and its not free only give you 12 hours per stay. Staff very rude. The staff is great, especially Kathy at reception and Adrian at the pool (restaurant). British Airways lost my luggage and she was most helpful. The hotel is perfectly located. The hotel had friendly staff with good english with good facilities. This is my first time in this hotel but not in Barcelona. Great for families as there is a small clean pool on the roof terrace perfect for time fillers and a lift for buggies. The terrace has a bar and restaurant also. Its location is great as it is near the shops - good ones too […] - and there are plenty of reasonably priced cafes and supermarkets nearby. It is a good 20 minutes walk to the beach. Food and drinks are pricey in the hotel but then that's no different to any other hotel. There was a bit of street noise at night but not disruptive. The cleaners were not intrusive or noisy either. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Hotel Claris. From our arrival at 10.30pm (which they were more than ready for with our luxurious duplex suite) to booking our restaurant of choice for our last night (one of only 7 tables in the whole restaurant we had chosen). "Lovely Hotel"
The Hotel Claris is centrally located, within walking distance to several sites and public transportation. The hotel and rooms are very clean and pretty. Our room, on an upper floor, was very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. One negative is that the bathtub was not easy for an older guest to get in and out of, and there was a step in our room, […] Otherwise, the room was very nice. The staff at the hotel were very nice and very helpful. Whatever restaurants they recommended were excellent. They also gave us good advice regarding our questions about site seeing. There is a lovely rooftop restaurant and bar. The website did say free wifi, but I was told it was free only for a short time. They did have computers in a room off the lobby available for guests. for a "5" star hotel, ammenities were average at best. Small things like no clock in the room, typical european showers where you need to impleement flood control, you could not easily see the tv from the bed, limited storage space. "We Like to Walk"
Modern hotel in upscale neighborhood. Close to Ramblas and Casa Mila. We had them valet our car, which was great. The room was very quiet because of an extra set of pocket doors. Although the room was small it was very impressive. It was a shame precious desk space was used for a large artifact display case. Perhaps that could have been on a shelf higher […] up.
