Not too good. Very poor accommodation. Too few or little toiletries. No complimentary laundry bag. Need major improvement.

My stay at the Red Roof Inn, Westchase was acceptable. I got an excellent deal online and got exactly what I paid for. A clean, safe room, with no extra amenities. There was a refrigerator and microwave, a TV, a clean bathroom and a decent bed. The heat and air worked perfectly fine. There was a decent selection of channels. All in all, I got exactly […] what I paid for. What were the faults? First, this is a motel that some actually live at. One man mentioned he was in his 7th month there. There was a family cooking on the back of their truck in the parking lot. There were some shady looking characters about. But the desk clerk was friendly and very on top of the "regulars," keeping them in line, it appeared. So, don't be alarmed, but be aware. There was no clock or clock radio in the room. A bit odd to not have that. The towels were very thin, almost threadbare. Plus, there was only one of each in the room. No real soaps available, but then again, this is an inexpensive motel. The room I was given was at the very end of a long hallway, and unfortunately, the exit door at that end did not allow re-entry. So it was a hike back and forth. All in all, this is a decent, low price motel. You get exactly what you pay for, which is a safe, clean place to lay your head. Expect anything else any you will be disappointed. Läs mer

My wife and I were in Houston due for a double family emergency. Both my Mother and my younger brother were in a life or death medical situation. We found that we had made reservations to a hotel that was being remolded. Normally, this would not be an enjoyable stay under a less stressful event. Mr. Timothy Harris, Assistant General Manager, was the most gracious host, he saw to our every need. The front desk managers took care of us from the time of our arrival until we left. My mother survived her ordeal and we had to return to Dallas, Texas. However, my brother is still very critical and we will be returning next week to address his situation. I would not think of staying anywhere else in Houston except at the Red Roof Inn Houston Westchase. We made reservations for our return when I checked out. Years ago I was the HR Director for Embassy Suites and the Personnel Manager for the St. Anthony in San Antonio Texas. If I still was working in that capacity I would have tried to hire this staff for one of my houses. They are a prime example of the hospitality industries best skilled professionals that I have seen in a long time. We were not in Houston for a fun vacation or for holiday celebrations. I felt that Mr. Harris and his ace front desk staff really cared and I knew beyond of any doubt they meant what they said about “Let us know if we can help”, I think they really did care. All I can say the Red Roof Inn #229 Houston Westchase will always be my first choice as a place to stay when ever I visit Houston again. This hotel was perfect for the price. I really dont have any complains since you get what you paid for. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of activity on the property..made me feel unsafe at times..

Good value, no frills, perfectly satisfactory place to lay our head!

My room was clean, the hall carpet was aged but clean. My only concern is that it has very limited services such as a computer with printer for minor work. Other than that, it served it's purpose.

The rooms were very clean. Easy to check, good service..

ROOM WAS BARE, BED WAS LUMPY AND UNCOMFORTABLE. THIRD FLOOR BATHROOM HAD ALMOST NO WATER PRESSURE IN THE SHOWER.

Well the location hotel is ok, the room was confortable but the room smelled to cigar or another bad smell, when I did the reservation I asked a non smoking room but the room than the hotel gave me was with a bad smell to cigar, just for this reason I am not completely sure to recommended this hotel to others.

Price was good but lots of people hanging around outside would not be comfortable to spend the night alone even with the locks on the doors. Pretty good area of town but seems like some prostitution going on at the location.

this hotel is close to china town so it's a must to stay here if you are going to go to china town a lot. Also from the hotel it's about a 1 hour drive to the Gulf of Mexico beach in Galversson Texas. The only complaint I have is that the room keys didn't work with the room at first and had to go back down to the lobby to re-key them...also if you […] want a hair dryer you'll have to ask the people at the front lobby since the room doesn't come with one. Hotel seemed like it rented rooms by the hour staff was courteous but not helpful and worst of all the room was clean but smelled like midew

We had the opportunity to stay at the Red Roof Inn Houston Westchase for nearly a week as I attended a seminar. The staff was very friendly and even went out of their way to assist us - helping with luggage, extra towels, etc. The hotel and bedding seem very old, and although everything was in working order, we frequently had to request extra cleaning […] - even when we first arrived. Rooms were very unclean. Blankets had yellow stains on inside of them. Carpet very worn and very dirty / greasy. Doors only partially weather stripped and some hanging loose. Carpet was freyed bad as you enter room. No blow dryer. No remote control for TV. Supposed to have been a "NON0SMOKING" room but it was obviously a smoking room.

I went to the front desk to check in and the lady gave me my keys and i went to the third floor to my room. My room was all the way at the end of the hall,so it was a long walk to get to my room. I went into my room and my room was dirty. My beds was not maid and the room smelled aweful. I had to walk all the way back to the front desk to get another […] room. When i walked into my new room it smelled really bad. I sat my food down and when I went back to eat my food there was black bugs everywhere. I killed alot of them and i took pictures and video taped them crawling around by my food. I wish I could post the video and pictures of the bugs crawling around. This hotel should be a half star. Although the location is splendid, the service is more than awful. It's like renting a brothel to spend the night. The rooms are old and shabby with smells old ancient-looking carpet. Customer service is terribly poor. The moment I stepped into the hotel, I knew I made a mistake. If I could, i would've demanded a refund and not bother to stay there. […] But I managed to sleep, with my eye wide open. Please, stay away if you desire a tasteful, and odor-free rest. Great Staff. The understand customer service. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The price was unbelievable.

Good price but too much services. TV channels not good, not too much variety. No microwave, no refirgerator. Motel 8 it has better services for less price.
