Hotell Condado - Barcelona

Hela hotellet var upprustat med bekväma sängar och rum. Personal var trevlig med tillgång till internet. Vad som kan förbättras är att maniana stavning ? gäller då man vill ex ha en glödlampa utbytt. Frukosten var inte prisvärd men är man i Spanien så tycker jag att man kan ta frukost ute och det smakade bra. En liten förbättringvore att finna ett visitkort […] som talade om var hotellet ligger direkt vid incheckningsdisken för att få taxi att finna hotellet. Kan tänka mig att besöka hotellet vid annat tillfälle. Läs mer

Trevligt och bekvämt hotell. Lite långt till tunnelbana. Bra service med gratis vattenflaskor på varje våning. Kan definitivt rekommenderas.

Jag stannade på hotell condado 11-21 augusti 2009. Kan rekommendera detta hotell, det var rent och bekvämt. Personalen var trevliga. Schysst med gratis internet och kylskåpen med gratis dricka. Synd att det inte finns någon tunnelbanestation nära hotellet med det finns flera busshållplatser dock i närheten med bussar till stranden, city och alla sevärdheter. […]  Frukosten på hotellet kostar 12 euro per pers och dag och den var inte alls bra, innehöll inte alls mycket. Däremot finns det en jätte stor matbutik på andra sidan gatan mitt emot hotellet där vi löpte frukost varje dag jätte billigt och åt på balkongen. Läs mer

Mycket trevligt hotell med närhet till restauranger och nattklubbar.

All sights are a good 15 min walk away, however taxis are plenty and restaurants close by. Nice hotel, nothing fancy but rooms are clean and bright, staff friendly and as it was not very expensive would stay here again.

Clean & Cozy Room, located next to Diagonal metro station which leads to almost all great places in Barcelona.

Great hotel for a very reasonable price. Clean, comfy, modern and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Could be closer to the metro (15 mins away) but a reason to explore the area which had some neat restaurants and shops.

The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean, and the surrounding area was nice. However, it was a decent walk to and from the metro station. Another train line runs closer, but we only used the metro since it was much easier to use when you don't speak Catalan.

All about it is perfect. the location's good, but if you dont want to spent money on taxi, or go by foot. take the metro to FONTANA is the nearest to the hotel. be advised by a GPS.

Reasonable price, helpful & friendly staff, comfort & spacious family room, about 15 mins walk to metro.

This was my second time staying in this hotel. It is very comfortable and while it's not in the tourist centre it's well served by public transport.

Great,comfortable hotel in Barcelona. No amenities, just a very nice room. If you plan on seeing the city through the train system, it is a very long walk to the nearest station. that is the only drawback.

Really clean, comfortable hotel and the staff were very helpful. We would certainly recommend this hotel for value for money. Our room was a good size with a separate door leading to the en-suite - toilet, shower and washbasin in 3 separate areas. Our room shared an entrance with our friends´ room which would be ideal for families (rooms 202 and 203). The […] free bottled water in fridges in communal areas was a nice touch - and very welcome. However, we did not have the breakfast as we don't eat much for breakfast normally and at 12€ each we thought it was a bit expensive for what we would eat. The location was a little disappointing - a good 15 minute walk from Plaza Catalunya - but we used the sightseeing bus for 2 days and the bus stop was nearer. The nearest underground was Diagonal - again nearer - and you can buy 10 ticket book for travel on both buses and underground. One day, after a lot of sightseeing and dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, we got a taxi from Plaza Catalunya and for 4 of us, it cost €5. Local restaurant Moncho's is well worth a visit for their excellent value buffet dinner and there is a good supermarket opposite the hotel. Car parking was discounted at the local car park - €22 per day. Overall we are sure you wouldn't be disappointed at this hotel. Läs mer

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. We were there only one night between a cruise and a flight, but would have liked to stay longer. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The hotel was on a busy street, but the room was quiet. The staff was very helpful in steering us to the sight seeing buses, a money exchange business, and a great […] (and reasonably priced) restaurant nearby. My friend and I stayed here for the Easter Weekend and although the street outside was noisy (due to the partying Barcelona residents) we found the hotel, staff and experience excellent. We would stay in this hotel again in future and would recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Barca (although if you are a light sleeper get a room at the back […] :o) Läs mer

The hotel was nice and in a good location for seeing the sights. We were satisfied and thought it was a good value for the money. We would use this hotel again on a future trip.

Very nice hotel, perfect location. Clean room, comfortable bed, high pressure shower and great hotel staff.

The services of the staff were good and the good is spacious and comfortable. However, the sound proof is not good and we can hear the next door customers quarreling.

I will stay this hotel again

It was such a delight to arrive at a hotel with a clean and welcoming environment. The lobby is comfortable and cozy. There are 2 computers that are there for your free use. It was perfect because I could get all my e-mail from work and feel that I was up to date. The room was emaculately clean and large enough for 3 people to not feel like they were […] getting in each other's way. The bathroom was large and lovely. The front desk people treated us like friends and were extremely helpful. I will definitely go back to this hotel when I go back to Barcelona. We chose the Condado because it was well situated with good access to local transport facilities - important to us as we didn't have a car. The local area is quite lively at night, but we had a room at the back of the hotel and found no problem at all with noise. Room was modern, well-maintained and appropriate for 2 adults and a child. No mini-bar […] in room, but water in corridor. Breakfast was a bit pricy at 12 euros and we chose to eat in local cafes instead (coffee and pastries for 2 at about 6 euros). Reception open 24 hours and staff friendly and helpful. Free internet in lobby was very useful for checking emails. Overall, would recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona who don't have their own transport (parking might be difficult). We would stay there again. Läs mer

I liked that they provided unlimitted (cold) bottled water at no extra charge. Internet only worked in the lobby. I don't know why they insisted it would work in my room, when I was the third person to tell them that it doesn't work in the room

We stayed in Barcelona for 1 week and we looking for a nice, yet budget place to stay. Hotel Condado was a perfect choice, it is located right next to the Diagonal avenue, and is walking distance from attractions such as Guell Park, Casa Batillo, La pedrera, the Barceloneta beach, all major shopping streets and subway. It is located on a quite street […] across from a large grocery store. It is a 5-10 minute walk from Gracia area, which is an old town that became a part of Barcelona, and at night it is busy place with lots of people (mostly spanish), bars and music. If you are new to travelling in Europe, be prepared that the hotels rooms are tiny (although the shower at Condado was huge), but very cozy. I would reccomend this hotel, because it is affordable, good location, and very clean. Läs mer

rooms are very nice. staff speaks english, which helps. only thing we wished were different was the distance to the subway, which matters since it can be tough driving around Barcelona.

The location on Calle Aribau is very convenient as it is close to many important streets, architecturally important buildings (some Gaudi's) and at least 2 Michelin starred restaurants as well as many hip cafe's and bars. The rooms are ultra modern with good beds and free internet. There is a communal minibar shared with the entire floor that comes […] with a decent amount of free water which is honestly all I ever use at a hotel minibar. The service was generally excellent bar one specific concierge, but he was one of six that served us. The hotel does not have room service or a pool and the restaurant only serves breakfast which was passable. Overall a very good choice for someone with an average budget. Läs mer

We stayed one night after a cruise. (We stayed in a different neighborhood before the cruise.) Nice hotel, clean, modern decor, free internet, reasonably priced, fairly good-sized rooms. It is not within easy walking distance of very much (except some upscale stores), but buses and the Metro are available. My friend and I absolutely adored this hotel. The whole staff was wonderfully accomodaing. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, as were the beds in another hotel we stayed at in Barcelona. This hotel is a quick, charming walk to eateries, bus and taxis...loved the two days we stayed there...also loved the free bottles of water.

Staff was pretty nice. Free computer with internet in lobby. Hotel was a bit of a hike to a metro stop (fine for active folks, but older folks might have difficulty with this). The rooms were great. They were very pretty and clean. Shower was amazing! The pictures on the website are very accurate.

This hotel was very nice with good service. We had a superior room which was worth the extra money. The standard rooms were small and no view. The hotel is in what appeared to the financial/business area and the neighboorhood seemed upscale, quiet and safe. There weren't a lot of good, reasonable nearby restaurants so we needed to walk a bit for dinner […] (several good pastry places that are close for breakfast). Excellent shower in the bathroom

24 hr door men were excellent and accommodating. They had good restaurant recommendations and helped with my flailing Spanish skills. rooms were clean and large but the beds were a bit on the firm side. Cool keys.

We don't have a bad word to say about Condado. It was modern, clean and the staff were friendly and helfpul - all that and very reasonable prices!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was a little farther away from the city center than I would normally prefer, but you can easily walk to Place de Catalunya, La Rambla, La Boqueria. The neighborhood was quiet and I did not feel unsafe walking around once it started getting dark. I'm not sure the breakfast was worth the price, but I did eat […] it every day so I could fill up without feeling hungry later. The room was quiet and the bathrooms are lovely. The AC is extremely quiet so that you don't even know it's on, but it cooled the room down really fast! I'd definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others. Läs mer

When we made reservations to stay in Barcelona for the first time many of hotels in the "downtown" areas were already booked. Hotel Contado was a wonderful surprise, located in a very convenient neighborhood. Very good service and attractive room and lobby.

Based on outstanding prior reviews we booked The Condado for a 3 night pre-cruise stay for our family of five. We stayed in a family suite (2 comfortable connecting rooms, 2 nice bathrooms) which worked well given the limited Barcelona inventory of suites. Overall the Condado delivered on the value proposition but fell very short on the service side. […] Grumpy breakfast waitstaff, severe shortage of complimentary water and soft drinks, unwillingness to call taxi company to assist our transfer to the port. I would recommend this hotel to friends but would temper my comments reflecting some cautionary comments. Läs mer

We were delighted with the hotel, both room and location. The room was very well presented and for a family of 3 adults there was more than ample space. The added bonus was we had a large terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great, the local transport was great, you can get buses into the the centre of Barcelona from around […] the corner, you could walk into the centre in 20 minutes or you could use the metro, I would recommend you get a T10 ticket, it's very economical. Wasn't crazy about Barcelona. This hotel is nice and clean and loved the free mini-bars in the hallway with drinks. Was a bit far from the metro station to walk. Taxis were very abundant.

I do not appreciate the desk staff while the housecleaners are nice. They didn't make their efforts to change rooms when we requested for that twice. (While at that time, it was still 10 am, many customers just checked out.) Some of the rooms are not well-lighted, as they don't have a real window (it faces right opposite to wall). Our stay at the Condado was perfect! The rooms were efficiently small, but the bathroom was very spacious and lovely. Great water pressure. Very clean. The desk staff were very helpful and able to make change for me. They were also very willing to make a room change as we hosted an unexpected guest at the last minute and needed another bed.
